I'm in Edmonton, getting married at the Riu Jalisco in Puerto Vallarta. I had to send in advance copies of our passports, and those of our witnesses, notarized copies of our birth certificates, and an application form.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of the legal ceremony, or can tell me how much flexibility they had with their ceremony?

Thank you both for your words!But - it is too late - everything's nearly been done. I had a bad feeling at the beginning, should have taken heed! I've complained to everyone I can. I've given up, I do have more flights to book for people coming though, and they will NOT be going through them! It's a local company.

Does anyone else's travel agent never fail to put them in tears? I had an actual anxiety attack, because I find out today, a month and a half after final payment was due, that they finally tried to take it, and it was declined. So she has told me so far that she needed it absolutely today, given me attitude while I was trying to find the money, and been absolutely horrible. It's been a month! It came off our other visa on Feb 4th, why not this one!?!?! On top of this, she has just ruined my engagement. Absolutely ruined it. She has made it the worst experience of my life. I called J today and begged him to just run away to Vegas.

Heatherbean, I arranged my bar rental in July last year - they did finally reply to me, and I think I booked the dinner at the same time. They WILL reply, it just may take a month or so!

My hair is probably only a little longer than yours I think! Good advice though, and the more I shop around I am seeing it is comparable. I think I might buy one of the packages, and just not use some of the stuff. Is it the same spa, or one in each hotel?

I just got sent the booking information for the Renova spa - they want $110 USD just to style my hair! Anyone have any suggestions for hairdressers outside the resort?

I'm afraid I am going to have to bow out - with shipping to the US, and then shipping on to Canada, and then customs charges - it might be a little much. Looks like the person above me can take my place though! Sorry!

I wonder if anyone can help me with some advice? I ordered bridesmaid dresses from Pacificplex, and then sent one to the UK in November. It never arrived there, so I ordered another one last week, which is due to be delivered today...however my maid of honour just messaged me that the first dress has arrived! Does anyone know what happens if I refuse delivery on the second dress? I know I am going to get hit with customs costs if I accept it. Thanks!

Another Edmontonian! I am curious, which travel agent did you use? I am getting married at the Jalisco, on the 15th of April. We rented the pool bar also.
