Wedding Ceremony ?
adias.angel replied to Erica053009's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We are doing a Celtic hand fastening ceremony. They have versions of the hand fasting for nationalities also. There is the hand ceremony. If you think you can get through it without crying. There is a part I really love about the Mayan/cosmic ceremony where each of your guests get to come up and say something to you both; a blessing, passing on wisdom, a poem, a song, whatever they want. If your guest list is on the smaller side like your this might be an option. Hope those help. Carla -
Are OOTs a must? What are alternatives?

Thats exactly same conclusion we came to was how to get it all down there so I think we are going to do small OOT bag with a underwater camera, welcome booklet, excursion gift certificate and maybe on or two other SMALL things. Still working on how we are going to package it up, I really wanted to stay away from the whole bag idea. I am starting to think it might be fun to wrap them up like a birthday present for people to open. -
Carnival Mexican Riveria Cruise & Cabo Wedding!

OMG!! That is outrageous. The worse I have ever seen a summer bill here in MI is like $250. Those kind of bills seem to hit just when you think your getting started on the right track. Don't worry it will work out, it always does. The cruise prices for your cruise don't come out till November right? I thought they came out 1.5 years before the cruise. Have you looked on cruisemates to see when the dates come out? Planning on my end is going good but slow at the same time. First our TA called to tell us he had been in the hospital for surgery and was only now just getting back home to email his clients. He is still confined to home but will hopefully be back in the office in the next couple weeks and send the research he did for us. Then my FMIL calls to tell us they are having problems in CA and will probably be moving back to MI and living with us! They are the greatest people so I don't mind plus having my very own Martha Stewart in the house will help me on the wedding planning. Truthfully I think they are coming back because my FSIL, youngest sibling, left CA to come to college in MI. That with the combination of us getting engaged is making them want to be here. So things have got put on hold as we get ready for them. On the positive side I think I have found the dress I want. Still have to find a place to try it on but A-line dresses almost always look good on my body shape so its a pretty good bet. And Chris created a planning blog and website for us. And I put together a ideas album. (see signature). OK so looking back maybe we have done a bit of planning I guess I just keep looking at all the things I still have to do and it doesn't seem like much. Keep posting I can't wait to see yours. I check every day to see if you have posted. Carla -
Sarah does them: Sproullie Designs | Custom Photobooks, Invitations and more! She is awesome. I know she is really backed up right now but if you submit the form and then email her about your situation I am sure she could squeeze you in. Good luck and can't wait to see your pics of the invites, Carla

Hi All, Our guest list has grown and now I need a good way to communicate information about booking to people other than immediate family. Did you include booking information in your STD's, invitations or both? How much info did you include in your STD and/or invitations. Thanks in advance. As the guest list grows this forum is the only thing keeping me sane. Carla

We are definitely going to do an OOT something, just not keen on the whole bag idea. Might go for the mini-cooler bag instead. But don't worry I will so post. Working on the passport style welcome letter now.

All I did was search stamps online and cleaned up the wording and then typed in the facts with the same font color. Hope that helps you out! =) Helps a ton! I was guessing the stamps were a photoshop job.

Any orange brides out there?
adias.angel replied to adias.angel's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
In my signature there is a link to my planning albums. I have one whole album just dedicated to color ideas. Plus alot of the pictures in my ceremony album are orange too. Here is the one that started us on orange: -

I thought it was going to run a lot more. We just want to do a couple hours outdoors and have the photos on DVD in high res. Thanks so much, I feel better now.

What about AHR location vendors? We have not picked our AHR location and could definitely use some help.
