  1. Hi- I am getting married at the Royal in PDC and am booking a guitarist and also a Mariachi Band through Ajua Weddings. They are a wedding coordination service. I was referred to them by another Royal bride who said their cost for the mariachi was less than the resort. Once I saw they had a guitarist too, I decided to do that as well. Below is their contact info. They have a $100 coordination fee. The mariachi is a six piece group and they are $375 for 45 min. Hope this helps! 2. Congratulations! I think with a destination wedding you can't 'expect' anyone to come, but you are just so appreciative if they can. That was our outlook on it. If there are a few key people that you both have to have there, then I would check with them to make sure they'll go. Other than that, I totally agree with the previous posters that it's hard to get a head count early on. Just decide where the two of you want to go and book it. Actually a destination wedding is so easy if you want it to be. I think the bride controls how much work she puts into it. It can be low stress and beautiful! Good luck!

Thanks!
  4. Thanks so much to you all....I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overreacting. Guess not Thanks again for your feedback. I am going to call the bridal salon right now.
  5. I sure would appreciate your opinion on my veil that I received in the mail last night. I was so excited to get it because it was supposed to have a monogram on it with our married last name initial, 'S'....the only thing is I am not sure it looks like an 'S'?!?!?!? Will you please look at it and tell me what you think? It was pretty expensive and I thought it would be a really special family heirloom, but I'm considering sending it back due to the monogram. Please tell me what you would do. Thanks so much!
  6. I think these are the best OOT bags I've ever seen! Wonderful job. Thanks so much for sharing.
  7. 1. I think I know which deck she is referring to. It is the seating area for the outside casual food area. I didn't see any weddings there, but I do think I remember it being shady. 2. The lobby bar is really nice and is open late. The outdoor bars close early when the pool closes. Also, they have a disco area that opens at night you could go to also.
  8. I vacationed at Secrets Capri with my FI this March. It is what made us want to have a destination wedding. First, it was an amazing property....wonderful. We will definitely vacation there again and recommend it to friends. We did not, however, choose to have our wedding there. We decided on the Royal in PDC instead. Interestingly enough, we have never been to the Royal but have read much about it online. I guess the main reason is that we wanted our guests to have a little more to do. Secrets is so small and very very very quiet. It was perfect for a romantic vacation for two but I am not sure if it has quite enough going on for a big wedding group. I think it is all personal preference. If you are having a small intimate affair, then it just might be perfect! Let me know if you have any specific questions about Capri. I'll try to help however I can! All the best!
  9. Our first dance is going to be Sade 'By Your Side'. If you haven't heard it, you definitely should give it a listen. It's awesome. Here are the lyrics below. You think I'd leave your side baby? You know me better than that You think I'd leave down when your down on your knees? I wouldn't do that I'll do you right when your wrong I-----ohhh, ohhh If only you could see into me oh, when your cold I'll be there to hold you tight to me When your on the outside baby and you can't get in I will show you, your so much better than you know When your lost, when your alone and you can't get back again I will find you darling I'll bring you home If you want to cry I am here to dry your eyes and in no time you'll be fine You think I'd leave your side baby You know me better than that You think I'd leave you down when your down on your kness I wouldn't do that I'll do you right when your wrong I-----I, ohhhh, ohhh If only you could see into me Oh when your cold I'll be there To hold you tight to me Oh when your alone I'l be there by your side baby repeat 1x
  10. So glad! Please let me know if you wind up using them. Now I'm thinking for $100 more, I should have done the guitar and the flute!

I LOVE your ideas...I hope they are able to work something out for you to capture that beauty. Just wanted to let you know I emailed Micaela a while back and asked what is the standard set up in a beach reception. She specifically said under table lighting is included and I was so excited. I know no flowers are included in for the tables, but they do provide votives and tiki torches around the reception site. Hope this helps a little!
  13. Oooh, I'd like to come too. I'm in NJ and would love to meet all of you. Please post when/where once it is decided and I will try to make it!

I agree. Weddings are the best. I'd love to be a wedding coordinator or party planner too! Welcome!
  18. Here are three things I received from the Royal regarding menus. One is for a buffet dinner reception, the other is a sit down/plated dinner reception, and the other is an horderve list. Hope this helps! I don't think you have to decide on your food selection until immediately before the wedding. CENAS%20BUFFET[1].doc MENU%20CANAPES[1].doc MENU%20BANQUETE%20ROYAL[1].doc
