  1. How nice of your hubby...he did a great job! Your wedding location was LOVELY. Oregon is somewhere I definitely want to visit. Congratulations!
  2. Definitely one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen. The location was breathtaking and you looked stunning as well. Congratulations!
  3. I posted this in the other photos forum, but wanted to put it here in case it helps any of you looking to take e-pics. I would really recommend it...what a great keepsake from such a happy time. Enjoy. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t30611
  4. They are GEORGOUS!!!!! My favorites are the ones in the subway and the one of the two of you on the park bench....it is hard to choose a favorite though b/c they are all so good!!
  5. Everything looks fabulous. I don't think you have forgotten one single detail. Your guests will be so appreciative of all of the goodies and special touches. Hope everything turns out just as you had hoped for.
  6. Have any of you used the hair/make-up services at the Royal or heard any feedback on them? I'm trying to decide what to do and can't!!!
  7. We just had our engagement pics made in NYC a couple of weekends ago and used Agaton Strom as our photographer. Thanks to everyone who made recommendations and to those of you whose pics served as our inspiration! Agaton is extremely talented, was fantastic to work with and is a super nice guy. He suggested the East Village and we walked all around and got many different types of shots. His website is Agaton Strom, Wedding Photographer, 917-306-7014. For the first time I used MyPublisher to create a Photobook of the E-Pics...Here is the link...Let me know what you think! Katy MyPublisher | View your Photo Book, share and reorder.
  8. Hi Everyone- It's getting close for me now...almost time for Mexico so I have been emailing Micaela more lately asking a few questions. I wanted to pass a couple of things along that I just learned. She said she did not recommend shipping anything to Mexico prior to the wedding...I had been debating whether or not to send OOT bags, etc. I am going to pack them now, but beware, that can get costly. My OOT bags are rather big. On Continental we can each check 2 bags and outside of that the next bag/box is $100. Oh well, I do love the OOT bags. The other thing Micaela told me was that the bell boy will deliver them to the guests rooms for $2/each. I thought that was reasonable. Also, Micaela said we would meet at 4pm on Wed. when we arrive. Our wedding is on a Friday. She said that we would go over all the details then. She said there was no need to discuss flowers, food, decorations, music, etc. ahead of time. Just wanted to let you know in case this is valuable to any of you. Katy
  9. Well I finally got around to posting my beautiful STDs, Invitations, and Thank You notes from Eiffel Printing and Design. Honestly, these pics don't do them justice as the papers and colors are absolutely vibrant. I am in love with stationary, etc. and I have to say I could not be happier. I think everything turned out perfectly. Brittany, at Eiffel Printing, is so great to work with. She is very talented and is eager to design and customize whatever you need to help you make everything perfect for the wedding. Brittany also designed my monogram. It is a pleasure working with her. She is going to post all my things to her website soon and is also working for some things for the reception which I will post when I get them. Here is her website. Eiffel Printing & Design - Introduction I hope you enjoy looking at them. STD is a pocket-style. I love the raffia element and cane paper. Inside of STD. Thank You Notes. Invitations are tied with a raffia bow. Opened invitation with the invitation on the right and the 'Festivities Card' on the left. The 'Festivities Card' is held in place with the wide cane band. It slides in and out. Close up of the invitation. Close up of the 'Festivities Card'. (Sorry the pic is a little blurry).
  10. Congratulations. The pictures are beautiful. I'm so sorry you were sick, but I would have never known as you look beautiful in the pics!
  11. Can you please recommend some shuttle options from the airport to Playa Del Carmen? I remember reading some good things and bad things. Before I recommend someone to my guests, I wanted to get your feedback. Thanks! Katy

  13. Hi- I know I read this somewhere, but now when I need it I can't find the thread anywhere. Can you please tell me what to do to get rid of the odor from the natural starfish? Many many thanks! Katy

  15. We are using Agaton Strom in early Oct for our e-pics. His work looks amazing and I thought his prices were very reasonable. He charges $350 for 2 1/2 hours at the location(s) of your choice and gives you all the pics on a high resolution disk. Here is his blog where you can see quite a bit of his work. If this link doesn't automatically direct you to Feb 2008, click on that month and you can see an example of an engagement shoot. Agaton Strom
  16. Like you, I really want to jazz up the gazebo a bit. I ordered 36 of the round paper lanterns in white and plan on hanging them with fishing line from the top of the gazebo. White Round Paper Lanterns I ordered the 12" ones and I think it will look beautiful. I am bringing a monogrammed aisle runner too. I am not a big fan of the white chair covers and am considering renting some pretty brown wood Tiffany chairs with white cushions, but have to wait and see how the budget shakes out!
  17. We are having an acoustic guitar play as guests are being seated, as the mothers enter, and as my FI and I enter. I am walking down the aisle to 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' and I want my FI to have a song too.....what sounds good acoustically? Thanks!!
  18. I love them. I just sent him an email. Thanks so much!
  19. Oh wow, I got the tears when I read he re-proposed....how wonderful! Congratulations. Please let us know when it will air.
  20. THANK YOU ALL!!! Your input helped me so much to know I'm not crazy and there is no way that looks like an S! So I sent it back in and the lady that owns the bridal shop totally agreed with us...thank goodness. She called the veil company and they are going to fix it! Thanks again.
  21. Hi- I was just in communication with Ajua Weddings about the guitarist and she sent me this song list that he usually plays during weddings. Thought you might like to see it. Also, she said if you want a particular song not listed that he can learn it. Katy GuitaristMusic.doc
