Wow she is a waitress too? How long has she been there? What was so bad with the other coordinator?

You can have it, I think I'm gonna go with Dreams Puerto Vallarta, seems like less kids and out of the party town. But you better hurry before someone else gets it!
  3. Speaking of Wal-mart, how is it there? I was hopeing to get some things for my OOT bags too but wasn't sure if walmart has EVERYTHING imaginable down there as it does in the US.

I thought I had it made, my sisters a hairdresser, my aunts a professional make up artist and one of my good friends is a photographer. All was working out so well in my head, but now my friend is engaged and getting married the week after me so can't come. I've been photographer obsessed ever since!

But I really want a sunset wedding, or pics during the sunset...you know what i mean. I've tried to make myself feel better by telling myself its all for a reason, and that I want to were a vail, and the wind there will not allow me to do that. But I'm still really bummed! If you happened to hear something different let me know. There is always the chance that someone will cancel!

However, they had been responding w/i 5 days, but for some reason my email wouldnt accept their messages. (and didn't even give me a junk mail notification). Once I figured that out, they sent all the original emails to my hotmail account and that worked out well and they responded pretty quickly. I added Mexico to my landline plan, but I really only had to call Mexico once and it was pretty cheap to call. Thanks, I have 2 e-mail acounts and tried to e-mail her form both, aol and yahoo, I never had a problem receiving e-mails before. Maybe I'll send her a quick one so she doesn't think I'm crazy that I keep sending her the same e-mail. So I take it that they do allow outside photographers? Great!

Do you have any info yet? Beach? Gazebo? Where is the reception? How many guests? And most important of all....can you hire your own photographer Thats the part i'm really freaking out about. I don't know why I am drawn to Dreams, but I just am, it looks so beautiful! Sorry for all the questions but I'm having a hard time finding new posts on here for Dreams PV.

  10. I read that too, someone posted a review about it too, i think. I wouldn't worrie about it. I love trip advisor but know how those people can be (complaining about everything)!! So I only thing on it, it must not be a big deal. Who goes on a cruise to buy a day pass at a resort anyway? They mostly go to town and do excursions. So on another note, I am tinking of Dreams too for my wedding next May, I've e-mailed the coordinator about 3 times over the past 2 weeks and still haven't heard back! I was going to go to Dreams in Cancun, but my first, second and third choice dates are already booked! I'm getting worried that I haven't heard anything yet. I don't want to get my hopes up again. But it does seem like the one in Cancun does alot more weddings! Have you heard anything yet?
  11. Does anyone have any suggestions on a nice AI resort for my wedding? I have never been to Mexico before so I am lost! I was looking into Dreams but I'm not so sure. I want something on the smaller side, a big mega resort just does not seem romantic. Vallarta Palace looked promising....untill I saw their ridiculous prices for wedding packages and extras! Also NO beach weddings allowed!! only in the Gazebo, sorry but I'm not traveling thousands of miles to marry at a beach and be told I can't marry on the beach!

Its my wedding and I'm only gonna have one, I need pics to last a lifetime or maybe longer! I am so upset about this! i e-mailed her a week ago asking for package prices for their photographer. I am soooo hopeing that I mis read the policy and she only will use 1 photographer, like Claudia Rodriguez. I hope I hope. I really freaking out that she hasn't gotten back to me yet!
  13. who is everyone using for their photographer? I was told they no longer allow outside vendors. If anyone has the packages and prices for the resort photographer please post.

I could use some advice and opinions from those of you that are familiar with these resorts in PV: 1. Vallarta Palace 2. Dreams 3. Riu Vallarta From the information we have received so far, Vallarta Palace is our first choice, however we are concerned about the cost of the rooms there and know that not everyone in our families will be able to afford to stay there. Same goes for Dreams. Riu Vallarta is less expensive for rooms, however we don't like their wedding packages quite as much and the packages are more expensive. What has anyone else done? Do you go with the resort you love and have to pay for passes of guests that do not stay there or do you go for the place that isn't your favorite but could potentially allow the whole party to stay together? Help! Kristin Well I thought I was decided on dreams, untill I read your post! Now I am totaly confused too! What I liked about Dreams is that you don't need to wear a bracelet, or make reservations for dinner, now that could be a good thing or a bad one. Dreams has some pricey wedding packages. I usually go on tripadvisor.com and read all the review and look at the pics.
