  1. I agree with others - I would pay for the cousin as they really have no other choice but to stay off-site. But for everyone else, its their choice to stay at another resort, therefore they should pay for their passes!! We are in the same boat, and when ppl were considering staying off-site, we made sure to say to them that if they done that, they may save money, but they would either need to buy a day pass to get into our hotel for the wedding, and then get kicked out at 11pm - or pay for a nights stay at our hotel. Just make sure your guests who are planning to stay off-site know all this, if your hotel is the same as ours anyway, so they don't come back saying anything!
  2. shannon your pictures are amazing! i'm soo glad i stuck with this photographer! can you tell me where you got your hairpiece from - or even better, if your selling it?! Its gorgeous! PM me if your selling please!
  3. I have 9 people staying at moon palace - making up a total of 4 rooms - totalling 91 nights (including us its 11 people, 5 rooms, totalling 96 nights). But they were all booked seperately, through different TA's, some straight through the palace website.....will I be able to get any of the group discounts - or are they really strict about how the bookings were made?

Also, our photographer has an assistant, so really its not a whole lot more to book them in a room, and it means they can be there the full day and get to know us too!

They were very strict about them leaving immediately after your last events though. Our events were from 1:30 to 10:00 so they got their money's worth. During our wedding, MP didn't allow guests to stay only one night. The minimum was two nights. Thanks for that. It looks like we are only going to have 5 wedding guests staying off site - and i'm pretty sure they are going to be ok booking a room for the night...so we might be ok...as long as everyone does book to stay at mp. I've heard a few people saying they couldn't get one nights stay booked at mp, but I booked one night stay for my photographer through the mp website...so doesn't seem to be a problem now - thank god!!!

We have Citlalli, one of Claudia's associates booked for 3 days before yours - same set up, day of wedding and ttd the next morning - soo much excitement!! And they have 2 uk weddings on their books within days of each other - how much fun for them!?
  8. i'm going for the free package, so no fancy decor for me! what about you?!
  9. hey peeps - looking for some advice from past brides. we have about 20 guests travelling with us, and although most of them are staying at mp with us, there are a few guests booked up to stay at another hotel - dreams. We did say to them that they would need to either get a room for the night at mp, or use a day pass. But my question is, with the day pass they say on the website they can only stay in til 11pm - are they strict on this??
  10. hi everyone! I'm getting married may 28th at mp! soo exciting there is a 2010 thread now - wooo hooo
  11. well done lisa!!! that is brilliant!! do it 4 times over and you've bet your target!! goo girl!!
  12. Hey all We are doing a ttd session, as we weren't going to have a party back home on our return, so i wasn't worried about it at all - as i wasn't planning on bringing the dress back. But no we are toying with the idea of having a party when we come back - so i'm looking for some advice. My dress is costing me over $2900 - its my dream dress, so i'm not prepared to spend more money on 2nd dress. Sooo, my dress is silk - from past ttd'ers - will a silk dress clean up as new after the ttd session?! Or should I just forget it?! Luckily i'm not too bothered if you say no chance, as its not life or death that we have the party when we come back!
  13. omg no way!!! honestly they are sooo cute - I wanted them soo bad when i saw them...but don't know if i'm upto the challenge!lol thanks anyway
  14. Thanks for the review - its got me all excited!!! 9 months and counting!!!hee hee Can I ask - where did you get your personalised maracas? They are AWESOME!! I want!!
  15. This is brilliant - thanks for sharing!!! We have our whiteboard and i'm getting h2b to design a little tag to go with it explaining what the idea behind it is, as I doubt any of our guests will have seen this done before. I can't wait to do this part, one of the bits of the full wedding i'm most excited about!lol Going to get a canvas made of them all when we come back so I hope there are some funnies like yours so we can have a chuckle at them!
  16. Hey Lisa - I'll post pictures of me in the dress nearer the time - I promise! Don't worry about weight watchers not working for you, I didn't do weight watchers, just done my own thing - maybe you should give that a go? My biggest tip is any form of exercise, but doing it 5 days a week....i love exercise so it wasn't a problem for me, but I can understand how some people can't get motivated, but try slog through it, coz when your seeing results, it really helps! I just read my last post....its not my weight thats 3/4 of an inch out...its my waist!lmao
  17. welcome dawn!! I have to say, although Grand Palladium as a hotel wasn't what we were looking for, the wedding gazebo is second to NONE!!! Its the most beautiful wedding area i've ever seen - your sooo lucky!! Good luck with your weight loss, keep your mind straight and always think of the target and i'm sure you'll do great! On a personal note, I went wedding dress shopping at the weekend and i've found the one!!! Going back this weekend for a second appointment and will probably pay my deposit!! woo hoo i'm soo excited, its all I think about!! ha When she was measuring me I was craping myself, but, they are ordering me a british 10, so an american 6!! woo hoo I got to my target!! yeeeeeehhhhaaa she said my weight is out by 3/4 of an inch but everywhere else is a perfect 10! yas so i've got 10 months to lose that 3/4 of an inch!! hee hee So stick with it ladies, here is a success story, and if I can do it with the simple drive of the dress, so can you!!
  18. ooh thanks for the tip! I'm gonna head into a department store soon and get some ideas on makeup - I only use bare essentials stuff just now, so its very light natural makeup - whereas for my wedding i want something heavier for the photos - so will try get a trial of this and some mac stuff!
  19. fingers crossed lisa!!! veronica!! you have done fantastic!!! go girl!!
  20. Lisa don't fret!! At least you are wanting to do something about it...maybe it will help you big style to keep going to the classes EVERY week so you get shamed into being good?? I'd say try bringing exercise in....maybe your metabolism isn't the quickest at the moment so you just need to give it a jump start. Stick with it lady, and check in here every week even if its a gain...as the embarrassment should maybe kick you into gear?!
  21. Hey Adurrell If you click on my ticker, it will take you to another site, and from there you can create your own. Then come back to this site, click "user cp" up the very top left hand corner of this page, and then click signature down the left...then copy the coding which was on the other site - it might be the coding you pasted in the post above...and preview..and it should be in your signature! woo hoo I'd say exercise is a big part - find something that you enjoy, rather than just doing it because....otherwise you'll lose interest fairly quickly. I have always had a gym membership, but up until january this year, never been interested in going to classes, like body attack, lbt, body pump...but at the start of the year when I started this diet, I decided I needed to make drastic changes...and I've loved the classes - much better than slogging in the gym for an hour...and you get soo motivated by the people around you, trying to keep up and improve. As for food wise, for the first 2 months of my diet I was extremely strict...1 takeaway a month, no snacking, fresh chicken or fish for dinner. Something that seemed to work really well for me was to limit to myself to either bread, pasta or potatoes each day - never more than one of these. You have done the right thing starting early, because there are times during the diet that you won't lose anything. And if your anything like me, I fluctuated ALOT for the first 4 or 5 months during my that time of the month! Luckily its not like that anymore, but I was going up as much as 6lbs at one point!! Also, I went 6 or 7 weeks where I didn't lose a single pound - so remember to account for times when that happens. Check in here as often as you need to, I know I did alot at the start! Good luck with your first weigh in!
  22. I know, just 10lbs away!! I don't want to get too skinny so I might reduce my target..but i'm defo not there now! Need to stop the cardio and start toning up i think. Its quite scary though, I haven't been the gym since before I went on holiday, so its been about 4 or 5 weeks, and i'm still loosing each week - but people say that that happens as your body is catching up, but its still really weird. But i am still watching what i'm eating, almost never snack now, and walk alot, so maybe thats helping more than i expect it to. Hows things with you Lisa? 5 months till your big day - are you all prepared?
  23. Hey girlies - I managed to lose 2lbs this week - yeah to me! Aim for next week - 1lb please!!hee hee Where have all my fellow 2010 brides gone?! I feel like i'm the only one updating this thread!lol
  24. Lisa! hellooo! so you've been enjoying yourself have you?! well enjoy the rest of this day then start your healthy eating again tomorrow - you can do it - if i can, you can, trust me! well i stayed the same this week, which i'm actually really pleased about! but aunty flow is due to visit later this week, and i just snubbed the gym for a dominos!!! oh and i'm going to a wedding this weekend, so i fear i may have a deficit next time i'm reporting in! ah well, we need to still enjoy ourselves don't we!!
  25. hi martha, you've came to the right place then! Get a ticker on your profile, so you can keep track of your weight loss, and check in each week to let us know how your getting on, good or bad! I know for me, the thought of coming on here at the start and saying i hadn't lost, or gained, terrified me to the point it made me determined to work hard at it! So try use us as motivation as well! Good luck and remember to check in!
