  1. We saw your wedding but thought one of your guest was the bride she had a white gown on.
  2. I took speakers and an ipod for dinner and hire a dj for the beach reception, which I provide the music on cds for him to play.
  3. I payed for their flight and two night stayed. We never discussed travel insurance. She purchased her own tickets.Which I assume that's what your photographer would be more comfortable doing.
  4. Yes, that's what we did you can see my pics at Kate Leigh click view your proofs, look for Liza and Joel password is Alvarez towards the middle and end you'll see the dinner setup and our beach reception with bon fire it was awesome!!
  5. I changed mine at last minute and no need to tell her. You can do it aat the meeting, but if it makes you feel better you can email her. Honestly I don't she writes any of it down, when I had my meeting she had a clean sheet of paper and we spoke about all the things I had been emailing her for months. And she still couldn't deliver.
  6. Sandra's Bridal order it for me but it's from Jordan Flower Girl Bridal Line, shopped online found it and then they order it for the online price. I lucked out!
  7. She gave us a free floral center piece. But, I'm sure whatever you ask for she tellyou no problem. But make sure she delivers.

I'm curious about the Fri. night beach party that I have heard mentioned. Rather than spending a ton of extra $$ on renting the disco or private reception, I thought about just having everyone go to that. Whats it like Any help would be great.....also suggestions for the down time after the ceremony would be great! They beach party is never on the same day. When we were there it was on Sunday. Go to We back....Lots to share post. You can read how our day went we also had a 1pm ceremony.

If you are using a videographer, how much are you paying (if you are comfortable sharing) and what is included in your package? Thanks so much! We used the hotel videographer and for three hours we payed 498 and change. And the DVD is amazing, he edit and added music we loved it. Well worth the money. He did use microphones for the ceremony because of the wind. It's once in a life time get the professional.

Have any of you used these? if not what did you use? I used regular silk petals bought them at Michael's and got I think around six boxes and there was more thatn enough. NO one even know that they were fake.

But it's breath taking, the disco is dark and gloom but air condition. So I gues it's your preference but your going all the way to ROR to get married might as well do it up and have your reception on the beach. Right?

I'm concerned that he'll be really hot and uncomfortable. What did your guy wear to the wedding? Help me give him some great options. At first we had bought a linen outfit, but then when we looked at my dress we decided to go a little more formal. He rented a white Ralph Lauren tuxedo and wore flip flops. He looked hot in both sense of the word, he wore it all day too.....

The biggest question is the triple. We've got three older women traveling, who we would love to book together, but not if two of them have to share a bed. If anyone has booked a triple...could you fill me in? THANKS!!! There only offer two beds that our pushed together to make a king bed. you can requested to beds but sometimes if there booked it makes for a hard time. You can requested a cot, but one of my guest did, and never recieved it.

But honestly it goes by quickly, we took pics, and our other guest went about there bussiness some hit the beah other the pools. Some even took naps. The wedding party and us went to the bar and drank til 6 rolled around. Everyone enjoyed the free time between events it ended up being a long day. And the break in between gave everyone a chance to re-engerize themselves.

Do I get them done the day of or the day before? I'm just trying to figure out what would be best...I would prefer the day before since I am getting married at 11am. I just hope they keep! I had a manicure and pedicure before I left, my feet made it through til the wedding but I had the salon repolish my nails, my french manicure didn't hold up on my real nails. And they did a good job. They open at 8am so if you make the first appointment you should have time to get it done.

We used one because it looked nice with the whole setup. Sand in, on, up, your dress is a given no matter how hard you may try it's impossible. Don't even make the effort. When I took my dress off that night we had a sand pile in our suite. I thought about changing into another dress. But after trying my dress on for the first time, I didn't want to take it off. Plus after spending all the money on one dress I wanted to wear the heck out of it.

No we never got the cake we payed for we got the orginial cake the came with our package.I was pissed I had sent pics several months in advance and even discussed at our meeting 2 days before and still didn't recieve the right cake. Sparklers I bought online I'll forward you the website. I have to find it in my receipts. No we didn't decorated the Sea Grape the beach and the full moon needed no decor, we had the bon fire and a few tables with chairs.

What sort of room did you stay in? What did you think of it? Can't wait to see some pics!!!! We stayed in a Jr. Suite, it was comfortable we didn't spend much time in the room except........ Either way don't spend a lot of money on a fancy room and les you plan on spending your time in it. The Jr. Suite was fine. My laid back attitude was due to my wonderful MAN of honor, he kept me in check and didn't let me turn into a bridezilla.

Did you get your money back for the extras that you paid for and never received? No, orginally I had paid for the gazebo decor and not the bon fire so she want to call it an even trade which it was not. Then she said the 100 USD I paid extra for the cake would cover the rest of the bon fire. Well the bon fire was only 150 and the decor was well over that plus the cake money. You know what I didn't argue because she really didn't give me the time of day, to even voice my concerns. My husband was ticked because the day of departure she walked right by us and didn' even speak, she walked by us like we were strangers. Very unprofessional. I did write a letter tonight to Riu and also my Riu group coordinator, Claudia. Waiting for a response.

Congrats! Thank you! I initially requested it to be set that way. But, Mammee Bay serves food on bamboo plates and have blue rim glass, and that's the way it was set up when my MOH and friend arrived to the restaurant. So they demanded it be changed as the bride requested, they went to go get ready and came back and it still was not changed. My MOH really put his foot down and they finally changed it.

The resort was great and all of our guest enjoyed themselves. Just travel with a back-up WC and make sure you have all your details squared away. We plan on going back.

I am glad that you still had a great time despite all the things that were not quite as expected. We had a great time too and it wasnt until the day after that we realized how badly they had screwed up. (My biggest pet peeve was a minister vs. civil officiant, did they at least get that right for you?) Yeah, we requested a minister and he performed a memorable ceremony, our vows that he had us say we're like they were written for us. We were extremely happy with his service.
