The other day I was watching American Idol and I started crying lol... My poor FI!! I bet I won't cry on the wedding day though. *crosses fingers*
  2. I think about 5 months. They are getting divorced so I don't know if that helps me or hurts me. They may just want out of it or maybe she lives there for free until it sells? Don't know. Also, a widowed lady was going to buy it a couple months ago then backed out at the last minute... I don't know how much she offered though. Maybe that will make them more willing to sell?
  3. LOL.. I totally understand. That is why I posted this... I didn't want to go too low. I was thinking like offering 250 then when they counteroffer saying ok but you pay closing costs. I hope it works
  4. Signature as in Something Old Something New Something Borrowed Something Blue? Or something else?

Also, here's a heads up for you that we weren't given until TODAY - you're going to need a good $7-10,000 for closing costs alone!!! YIKES! The house looks great!!! The asking price for ours was $245, we offered $230. Our agent looked at comps, etc and was able to advise us of what type of offer we should put in that wouldn't be offensive to the seller and that would show them that we were serious. We got the house for $235. It's a buyer's market! Also, something that really helped us and made us more attractive to the seller was that we weren't selling anything, so we could do things at the seller's pace. HAVE FUN! It's WAYYYYYYY more stressful than I ever imagined it would be! Yeah, we aren't selling anything AND we are already approved for a loan beyond what were are looking at. So, we can sign the papers ASAP. I am just afraid I will go too low and offend them or go too high and screw myself. Also, in the closing costs. Our mortgage broker told us it's pretty easy to get the seller to take care of most or all of the costs. But, if they don't we can take care of it. It's just so stressful not knowing what to expect.
  6. No, I am not selling another property. I think you girls are right I need to talk to another RE Agent. My FI is out of town on work. I will see what he says when I get ahold of him. Good ideas girls thanks!

Just so much to think about lol... I can't wait until this is over and we are moving into a beautiful home.

I'd want a separate agent to represent you in buying the house. I like the offer that Ann proposed. BEAUTIFUL house by the way!! Thanks I love it... other than not having a fenced yard it is perfect!!

No, I haven't but she sure has put in a lot of work with us for us to just "toss her" I would feel bad. SIGH I guess I could call someone else and see what they say......
  12. Awesome! Thanks so much. It is kind of overwhelming when you have no idea what you are doing.
  13. Yeah, I am. She is representing the Seller though too. So, I don't really want her advice LOL. It's a small town so she is really my only choice.
  14. So, My FI and I have been looking into buying a house. We just got approved for our loan today. Now to make an offer on a house. I was just wondering if any of you had any experience in this. We don't know how much to offer the first time. Here is a link to the house. Stephenville Texas Real Estate Stephenville Texas Lake Front Real Estate Stephenville TX Real Estate They are asking 268,500. Any advice??

  17. Well, a few weeks ago Daniella told me yes to the Photographer and now Claudia is giving me a no but I just wrote her and told her I have an email from Claudia saying it was OK. So, hopefully she will let it slide. I wish they were easier to get a hold of. Other than the Photographer and DJ I am not changing anything! So, I will be an easy bride lol
  18. I haven't heard of them but there are some TA here on the site that are great.

If he were still alive and living in my town I would not put the annoucement out, only because I wouldn't want to invite drama back into my life. Oh my.... That is horrible. I am so glad that you got out alive. How scary...

He lives in Dallas though which is about an hour and half from me. I know he checks my Myspace though and so I know he knows I am engaged. I really thought he would flip again but he hasn't well I am sure he has but he hasn't drug me into it again. He is going to find out no matter what... A friend of a friend of a friend is bound to tell him.
  21. A lot of girls decided to do this I think. Their thoughtwave was... That way they can throw them away and it is less to bring back with them. I have seen some "way cute" paper OOT bags. I have thought of doing the same. I am thinking a lot of people will already pack a beach bag in their luggage if they expect to use one.
  22. Are you afraid of his safety or yours? If you think he might go nuts and do something to himself that is not your problem! If you think he might go psycho on you or your Fi then I would just maybe send out announcements personally to all the people you feel should be notified. It's really not worth having a stalker.
