I suppose you could tell them that it's okay for these people to come on the trip, but unfortunately you don't have space at the actual wedding for them. So they can spend time with everyone for the rest of the time, but on the actual wedding day, they'll have to fend for themselves & find something else to do.... I dunno! Sorry I'm not more help! I wish you luck with sorting this out! I totally agree w/you. On our invites response card I put Guest(s) and put the name of the guest. If it was Brett that is the only name on there. for my friend Carol I put Carol and Guest...well this was manly because we didn't want Brett to bring his DRAMA GF to our small (7-10 people) intimate wedding. She's one of those "it's all about me, and if not I'll cause a seen to make it about me" person.
  3. we are doing it after because I want the first wedding to mean the most. Civil to me is just for legality and not that much important for a piece of paper. The spiritual was more important to me. My opinion is that a year is to far in advance. Now that's just my opinion.

They have a package that is for parties no more then 10. I'll have to look at the contract and see what it says. Thanks.
  5. Ok thanks for the info. I'm so afraid to get sea sick. It's such a horrible feeling. Did you take anything before you got on the boat?
  6. hmmm let's do the same to him...i mean, it's art so i'm sure he wouldn't mind right? I HATE when people mistreat animals!!!!!! I say let's do the same to them and see how they feel. I'm sure they will sing a different tune!!!! This just ruined my day!!!!

I have been really insecure about my weight- I've gained like 50lbs (probably more) in the last 5 years and I have no idea why. I will be seeing a doctor soon because my mom and sister have been diagnosed with thyroid problems. Their doctor thinks I have the same problem- we shall see. Anyways, it means a lot to me to read everyone's nice compliments. My weight was probably one of the hardest things I have had to deal with during the planning of the wedding. While I felt beautiful the day of the wedding, I have a hard time looking at pictures. I'm excited to see the pro pics, but also a little scared. In the meantime, thanks for all the compliments. That is my struggle now. Losing weight (need to lose 15 more) and I am trying so hard with the gym and all and i only have 5 weeks left so if i don't lose the weight i at least hope to look as beautiful as you did. Did you get sea sick...I get sea sick and I'm afraid that's what will happen to me and we are having a day wedding so i really won't have time to recover at las caletas.

LOVE the pics...running man...LOL I love the mens shirts, where did you get them? They will be perfect for my man of honor ...LOL (we are only have our 2 best buds who are a couple stand with us and give me away) so we make fun and call Gabe my maid of honor..LOL.

Thanks for the tip (advise...LOL) ok so I'm a little confused. They already charge, or should I say include the tip? I only have 7 guests so should I tip extra. Must be the smallest wedding there from the ones I read.

Our colour scheme is hot pink and orange and we're getting married on the beach in Mexico. I really like starfish but not sure how to incorporate this into the invite. Can anyone suggest anything?? YES!!!! I did mine myself and loved them as i am getting married in PV at Las Caletas on the beach so this is what I chose. I hope you can see these. Then i got them and printed them myself it was sooooo easy and they came out nice. And funny is that i also chose the hot pink and orange. Tie-the-knot Mix & Match Printable Wedding Invitations I hope you can open this. The wording was a bit more of a challenge but this is what we wrote: CONNIE ALICEA & BRADLEY ALLEN DOUGLAS This day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, shares my dreams, life and love with. IT IS WITH JOY THAT WE ASK YOU TO SHARE IN A CELEBRATION OF LOVE AS WE EXCHANGE OUR MARRIAGE VOWS IN PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO. Our Journey To Cherish True Love Begins. it was nice and affordale only complaint was that it took a bit longer then I expected to receive it. However the product was nice and easy to put together. so if you like them and want any help on how to put it together I'll be more then happy to help you. By the way the orange I did as the back board and the pink the ribbon that went in the middle.
  11. now for my real letter. Dear Lord help me lose 15 lbs before my wedding in 5 weeks..i'll even accept 10. but I'd prefer 15-20. where is the miracle PILL. You'd think with all this technology that someone would have found it already. Get off the moon and get on our mircle pill before we all get so big we can't live on this planet because there is no room....
  12. we get asked the same thing KIDS...oh please. I don't want any more for he has one girl 12 and I have a boy 13. that's enough for me. He's 40 and I'm 38 do you really think we want to START ALL OVER!!!! well he does but i don't so i fixed that and had him have a vasectomy. NOW ASK!!!!!.....LOL
  13. ok I don't want tobe personal but how do we tip Las Caletas WC and staff? how much and so forth? does anyone know. We are on a budget so we have to put the $$$ in our allowance. Thanks
  14. Never have I ever had a 3some.
  15. We are getting married after the DW. TOOOOOO much paper work to get ready and stuff to take to Mexico so i thought we can do Civil here later and do the Spiritual first because to me the spititual means more.
  16. They are a great idea. Especially for us brides. I got some for also for the woman who are going to the wedding. They will be fun to wear. The look of a shoe but not the discomfort.
  17. I bought what is called barefoot sandals. I also bought them for the girls in my wedding. Check seaheart.com and they have what is called nyoshoos also if you want fancier go on ebay and type in barefoot sandals and a bunch will pop up. I'm sure you'll find something on there. They are for bare feet on the beach. What I liked about the nyoshoos is that you can wear them with shoes also. I received them and they also fit kids feet because they stretch and are comfy.

I don't know how to say it to her without having my family on my back!!!!! Thanks! Fannie We are not having maid of honor or best man at all. I didn't have anyone close that was going so I told Brad that he could have his brother as a best man if he wanted to but i won't have a girl up there so he said he won't have a best man either. Which made it better for him because he has 4 brothers to chose from. One of his brothers has a girl friend who we don't want at the wedding at all because she's a drama queen. So we told him he is invited but not her. I know it sounds bad but we are having a small wedding (8-10 people ) so it's not like she'll get lost in the crowd and I don't have to deal with her, not to mention that no one else there likes her either. I just think that it's a VERY intimate wedding and I don't need her drama and attention seeking self there. She like to cause fights with Bret (her boyfriend, Brad's brother) and it would be for no reason but for attention. I don't think she can make it anyway but just in case she thinks she can come and finds a way to have someone take care of her 3 kids we let him know that she can't come. Good thing for us is that we don't think he (her boyfriend, Brad's brother) wants her there either...LOL All that aside I agree with what everyone else said. Tell her you are not having anyone by your side or you don't need her because you already have everything that you are doing planned already.

We are getting a late start since he took 2 months to pick a date (I'm more flexible with my job), and now I'm freaking out that our guests won't even be able to come. I just sent a Save the Date pdf last week that I made in InDesign. It's really cute, I'll post it later to give others some ideas. We've still got to order invitations. CRAZY. Oh well, I know a few people who are already coming. I made a RSVP online at this forms Web site called wufoo.com, I don't think we'll have time for regular RSVP's. It's actually pretty fun, you can do a free account and have up to 10 questions on the form, my last couple questions are funny like how many margaritas do you plan to drink during your trip? and I'm considering Speedos or swim trunks? Anyone have any other suggetions? OK, that's it for me. Just joined the site because people on here seems to have really great ideas. With my limited time frame, why reinvent the wheel, right? Later! Welcome!!! I'm New here also with my wedding date May 29, 2008. We had the same issue with guests so we have I think 8-10 that are going. We aren't doing the maid of honor or best man and so forth because then the wedding party would be in the wedding instead of at the wedding..LOL Invitations are expensive for me so we opted to do our own and just get the kits. Especially with it being just few people. We are doing 2 different invitations. One will be the announcement for those we know are not going and invites for those we know are or might. Have you thought about shoes for the beach? I suggest you look up barefoot sandals (they range from $10 to $100+). I suggested this on another thread. They have cute ones on e-bay. I found a company called seahart.com on ebay and after looking at their stuff (and e-mailing Richard who was VERY nice from Seaheart.com) we decided that, since it's a small wedding, not many girls we'd get them each one and put it on their chairs as a gift (they come in this little lace bag and a box that looks like a flip-flop). I was concerned after ordering them how they were and to my amazement they were very comy. I'm not one to wear shoes with a thong around the toes (they bother me) but these didn't bother at all. They fit any size foot. I got the white ones for myself however they were not as fancy looking as I wanted them to be, but I'll wear them anyway. Kelley at Las Caletas is handling my wedding and I have had no concerns at all. Especially reading posts that state what a great job they do so I'm just going to sit back and let them do their thing. Are you doing a day wedding or night? We are doing the day wedding. We thought it would be fun for the guests to do the activites and so forth and relax and get some sun. I was like you, where I didn't want a wedding. The only stress I have is I feel like I can do so much with the money that's being spent on the wedding...LOL Oh well.
  20. Thank you all so much. I feel like I just got a bunch of new friends...this is great. Who had had a day time wedding at Las Caletas? We didn't know if night would be better.
  21. That's where I found the barefoot sandals on ebay. They really have nice ones. The ones I got from Nyoshoos (made by seaheart.com) are very comfy, they stretch. I chose these because when I went to there website they had a picture of someone wearing a black one with a black shoe and it made the shoe look different and the other ones on ebay with the bigger beads you can't wear with a regular shoe. This weekend I wore it with a shoe and they laid fine. Also they fit small feet (kids). Barefoot sandals are a great idea because it's uncomfortable to wear any type of shoe on the sand so we can still look like we are wearing a shoe and be comfy.
  22. I have flown with spirit and have had bad expierence. They lost our laugage and then said they would call us and bring it to us the next day and they never did so finally we decided to go back to the airport and wouldn't you know there was our laugage just thrown there in the middle of the floor with everyone elses and not only that the ohter peoples laugage was thrown there and open so people lost stuff. this was around Christmas so it was gifts we had and you know everyone else had gifts also because we saw new stuff with tags throw all over the place. it was a mess to say the least. I haven't flown with them since. then my friend flew with them and they lost her stuff also and the service was not good. Just make sure that you have everything closed right and tight and taged well.
  23. So I have been going crazy about shoes for the Las Caletas beach wedding and I found these cute barefoot sandals. I actually ordered a few because we decided to give them to the girls in our wedding also as well as for me. My wedding is Very small but if I had a bigger wedding it would be cute to give to the brides maids. I got black, white, red and a multi colored ones. We are not doing the traditional best man and maid of honor as this wedding is only 8-10 guests and 4 are women. We decided to give a pair to each moman and got colors we knew that they would be wearing. They come in this cute little box that looks like a flip flop and in it is the sandals in a little lace bag. VERY CUTE. So I received the Nyoshoos Thursday and they are nice and comfy. if I may, you can check their website for colors at seaheart.com. It's just an idea for those of you wondering about what to put on your feet at a beach wedding.
  24. Hi My name is Connie my fiance is Brad Our wedding is going to be at Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta. The date is 5/29/08. It was supposed to be a very small wedding and we were going to do it at our Villa but after looking through the websites we stumbled on Las Caletas and it seemed like a good idea and fun. We are doing a day wedding. We only have 8 guests or maybe 10 going, so it's very small. Any information will help. I'm excited about this site. It seems to be very helpful.
