this may qualify as a dumb question, but do we have to "do something" to let the US gov't know that we are officially/legally married or does all that happen when we file for a name change? When my sis got married here a few years ago her pastor took the certificate they signed and filed it with the county. Guess I should have looked into all this before the wedding- lol- oops!

What a jerk!! He must be trying to meet his monthly quota! Maybe you'll luck up and get a lenient judge

Well that just plain sucks. But there is always the option of getting extensions! That Ken Paves guy that does Jessica Simpson's hair is always selling his line on TV late at night!

I didn't think TK would agree to it b/c he does not get in the water- EVER! And he doesn't really do sand either. So we did a mini-TTD. I got my BMs involved and made it more of a fun thing than a super sexy thing. We still got a few racy pics though. -

One black, one silver, and one brown so that they will match his outfits. Crazy, i know. But I'm not allowed to complain b/c they were all pretty cheap compared to my e-ring.

But they were super easy to make, just time consuming. You just need to get the kind of flowers where the center piece pops out you can thread the fishing wire through the hole and them pop the center back in place.

We did it just for fun and i used my real dress. It was fine afterwards. I told my mom the significance was that i would never need the dress again b/c i had found my one true love. -
Thank you everyone for all the nice comments and compliments!! Quote: Originally Posted by PinionGirl These are simply beautiful! I see you used Robin Depaula as your photographer. Looking thru the pics made me remember things that I had forgotten had even happened. And she has the most pleasant personality, I just can't say enough wonderful things about her. Even my DH, who couldn't believe we were spending so much money on "polaroids" as he calls them is thrilled with the way they turned out. He has been looking thru them trying to decide which pic he is going to put on his desk at work. Out of all the planning, the attire was the only thing I was really into the details about. I've been debating about trying to sell my dress- maybe I'll sell it as a package deal Quote: Originally Posted by nikkianddean those were great pics. a few of my faves: *the little girl with the puffs- TOO CUTE!! *your mom (i think) breaking it down on the dancefloor *the look on your face when the older guy was getting his groove on. I wanted her to be my flower girl but she was only 18 months so I didn't know how that would work out so i decided to make her my honorary FG and good thing I did b/c she was asleep in the shade for the entire ceremony LOL Yep, that's moms! Thank God Robin didn't get pics of her tearing up one of the GM on the dance floor! And the older guy is my Dad... Lord help me... Also, Ann & Paul both travel a ton, so they may have FF Miles, or hotel credits at their disposal- Ann & I haven't really talked about that yet. At the very minimum, we will send them a care package, probably some restaurant gift certificates, etc to help while they're there. If you have any other ideas feel free to post them Perhaps a visa gift card would be good, that way they will have access to some extra cash for all the little expenses that tend to add up. Just paying for parking at a hospital everyday can add up very fast! -

How much is too much to ask your guests to pay?
Agape Gems replied to yamille's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I know I'm chiming in late on this, but in hindsight I would have planned my wedding for where ever and whenever I wanted and not worried as much about other people. In the end, some of the people that I planned around didn't even end up coming. Not that I wasn't totally happy with everything the way it turned out, but I was a lil annoyed that I changed things to accomodate other people and they didn't even show up. -
How about doing the moh bouquet all white just bigger than bms

I put the matches in a checked bag and had no problems. I found small boxes of matches at the $1 store and I think I got 20 sets for $1.

I should be getting my pro pics either the end of the weekend or beginning of next week!!!

Glad you remembered! I'm going to your site right now.

I dont want the people in the hotel spa doing my hair (i just have NO faith that they will know what to do). The hairdressers there aren't bad, but I would def recommend doing a trial run when you get there. I did see one girl come in that had a ponytail clip in that was done up into a real fancy up-do. -
We gave travel candles in OOT bags and we had them set up around the jacuzzi in our room. No problem mon!

We used travelers checks to pay Chandlyn and to book excursions. I did that so that I wouldn't go over budget. MIL also had travelers checks and found out that the hotel will only cash them into JA money, and their exchange rate is pretty bad. We used cash for everything else- tips, shopping, taxi rides, food off the resort... like everyone else said, take tons of $1s b/c you will need them as soon as you get off the plane in Montego Bay and its really hard to get change anywhere (at resort and in town) Didn't use any CCs
