    We just got our invites in the mail from the printer and my FI is upset that the return address and address for the RSVP only says my name. We live together, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Does this matter or is he just being oversensitive? Everything I've seen said the RSVP can go to whoever is handling the coordination of the guest list.

    From what I understand, our officiant will perform the ceremony in Spanish but our wedding coordinator will translate....but we're leaving it up to chance I guess

    I almost bought that dress and i think it's beautiful. IF the pearls are small i think it would be good. Since that dress has pearls on it already the only reason I would say not to get it is if the pearls are big. Hard to tell from the photos

    i also know someone that printed out a label with the correction - i.e. just the phone number and stuck it over the mistake

    That's rough. We've encountered a similar family situation..just try to remember what's really important - you and him. As for your sister, you can't change her but you can change your reaction to her. Could you just have her as a bridesmaid or ask one of your other bridesmaids to be a backup MOH for you?

    I'll try to post a pic tomorrow - I went to another JoAnn's today and they didn't even have any so it's probably good to call ahead before you drive too far. We have a bunch of stores in Phoenix so it's not a big deal to stop by.

    So I stopped into JoAnn Fabrics on my way home from work and found passport covers for fifty cents in the clearance basket. They are bright pink and red. I'm going back tomorrow to another store to see if they have other colors. Nothing high quality but good enough and the right price for our OOT bags....just wanted to pass this on!

    I definitely would. It didn't take that much time and that way you can be sure no one else has the same one!

    It's so much better to go in the fall/winter - you don't have to deal with the hordes of tourists and its much more relaxing. If you want to spend some time in a warmer place you shoudl see about a weekend in the French Riviera or something. It won't be beach weather but it will still be in the 50s or 60s and romantic!

    I'm getting married at the Vallarta Palace. They are more expensive but we're not getting a lot of extras or expecting a lot of guests. You actually can get married on the beach - we are. I would check out Trip Advisor as well. From my research before we chose a place I remember a few smaller hotels or bed and breakfasts that do weddings. I'll see if I can find any of them again.

    Thanks for all the replies...I can see both arguments. I guess my primary concern is this one coworker of mine, who I think will want to bring another coworker I purposely didn't invite. She likes to get really drunk and embarass herself and my family is pretty low key so I was worried it would cause some drama.

    I stopped into Aldo today and they had a good selection of nicer white and metallic flip flops. I bought these but there's a few more styles on the web that would be good for bridal.

    We're staying at an AI but are still paying per person for a private event. While it's fine with me if those that we invite bring others to enjoy a few days in Mexico, I want to make it clear that the wedding and reception are only for those that we specifically invited. I'm afraid with some of my coworkers the lack of an "and guest" on the invite isn't clear enough. Any suggestions - something else I can put on the invite?
