  3. I'm planning on doing the boarding pass as the actual invite for the wedding....what are you guys doing? Also, when do you plan to send them out for the wedding? I have already sent the STDs and included the booking info. Most have already booked. But I am still planning on sending out the formal invite as well. Is it bad if I only send the formal invite to those I know are attending?

About three months prior to the wedding, I will be assigned a onsite wedding cord that will help me with the live music, reception extras, etc... Perhaps this is because I am having 12-20 people at my wedding. I sent a list of questions to Claudia and she responded by saying that she will forward my information to the onsite wedding cord. I am about three months away from the wedding, so I hope to get a call soon. I may call Valeria and see if she can help me. Is she located in Mexico or Miami? I just started to think about my OOT bags. I made a list of items that I am going to get. I just need to go out and get them. Thanks for the Target suggestion. After looking your emails, I think that I want fireworks now too! I was planning on bringing the IPOD, but I don't want to ask a guest of mine to handle it all night. I might look into the DJ thing for 2 hours. Thank you for all of the information that you have shared with me! Don't worry...I bet they are in contact with you this week!!
  5. Interesting!!! I wonder if they have changed companies since September. Did your prices come from PSAV? I hope your prices are more current- because they seem a little lower! I see your frustration. I emailed you (can't remember if I did in the past) the info. I had on the music packages. Hope that helps. This is exactly why it is nice to speak with and compare the prices we all have to keep everything straight I'm not sure if they changes companies but anything is possible!

I will check them when I get back home this weeked~ just to make sure that we are all getting the same information. I just realized that you are getting married the weekend after I am! Are you coming in on Tuesday the 7th? I am planning on doing one OOT bag per room (only for those staying at the hotel). A few (4) are staying somewhere else through timeshares. I brought these big straw bags (once I learn how to post pics I will) in different colors. So far I am including: bamboo mats, flip flops for each person in the room, spanish for dummies book, and welcome letter. That DJ info. is from Valeria who put me in contact with: Jorge Chagoya A Director de Audiovisual J&S Audiovisual México who handles this in house for the palace resorts. Let me know if you need the contact info. I am currently coming in that Wed the 8th, but we are considering changing it to Tues. the 7th. Yep, it is the week right after you!!!
  7. Hello all!! I am trying my best to find 4x9 pocket invitations (to put my boarding passes in) in the Stardream "Flame" (orange color). I can't find the right size and color color online anywhere. If someone can think of anywhere else I should look it would be great. It is pocket invitation style A4 if that helps.........I'm running out of other ideas to store the boarding passes unless I fold the paper myself which may turn into a nightmare!!!
  8. In case you all are interested they have Spanish for Dummies at Target books for $1. I'm using it in the OOT bag....just a thought.
  9. How many guests are you guys planning for at Beach Palace? My count right now is at ~60
  10. Hello!! I am bringing guest photographer as well with me for the event. I think I am also going to do the fireworks.....I mean how many weddings end with fireworks plus its a once in a lifetime event. I'm sure the guests will love it as much as I will as well. Here are the packages for music/ DJ I have: Package 1:4 hrs, DJ, sounds, lights-> $1150 Package 2: 2 hrs, DJ, sounds, lights -> $750 Package 3:4 hrs. of self CD or Ipod music system ->$350 Package 4: 2 hrs. of self CD or Ipod music system -> $200 I need to figure out how to attach documents.......let me know how to do it if you do know please. But if you'd rather stay in a hotel that's different. We're probably going to spend 2 months in Florence, and 1 month in Rome. 3 months!!!! Wow. I will check out that site as well. Thanks!!

RE: a cruise around Italy... Cruises are great because you can see a lot of places and things and you don't have to repack your bags. However, most of the cruises have "all aboard" around 6:00 PM, every night so that they can move to the next port. No Italian town comes to life until 7:00PM at the earliest. So if you really want to experience Italy, a cruise ship won't give you much opportunity. But it's certainly easier. My very favorite places in Italy (in no particular order) are Florence, Siena, Verona, Capri, Orvieto, the Cinque Terre and Taormina (Sicily). Rome is great, but is soooo big. Milan has never been my favorite. So, decide what you want to do - sightsee and visit historical stuff (in which case Florence, Venice, Rome), sit on the beach (Cinque Terre, Portofino/Santa Margherita, Amalfi Coast/Capri, Rimini), see the smaller towns (Verona, Orvieto, Lucca). I can give you some great restaurant and hotel suggestions in pretty much any of the towns I've mentioned. Wow!!! Thx for the great information. I may bug you again for those hotels and restaurants if you don't mind!

This was our cake. It was blue buttercream frosting with white cake and a fresh fruit layer in the middle (strawberries, kiwis, bananas, and pineapples and smashed up and SO yummy!). The cake fed about 50 and we got a sheet cake that fed 90. We had 75 guests and very little left over! All done by a grocery store baker for $250. I love the cake toppers!!!!! Where did you find them?

My Mom has made several wedding cakes, and this time I want to make it with her assistance! Not really sure what is happening with the DW cake yet! That is sooo cute!!

We are getting married at 6pm
