  1. Hi Ladies! Just checking in again. The event is a little less than a week away. Are there any brides out there willing to subject themselves to this? I'm getting really pumped at the idea of finding my dress. I'll post afterwards and let you all know how it went.
  2. I agree, definately start slow and work your way up. You don't want to overdo it. You'll never want to get on the thing again

Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. I love all of those things. Hang in there sweetie. you're right, tomorrow is another day.
  6. Maura- how did the fitting go today? did the "alli" work? Hopefully you get to get the dress taken in again

  8. So I switched to the MGD 64 beer earlier this week. only 64 calories per can/bottle. It really wasn't all that bad. I gave up the chips, ice cream, mac & cheese, pizza etc. you know all the good stuff for this contest and myself but I just couldn't give up the beer. I need it for my sanity. Oh god, thinking about all that food is making me hungry

  10. What about monogrammed "hand towels" with an H on them. what a cute idea for a bridal shower. I love it
  11. Love the robes. You could add monogrammed slippers. They're $14.95 here. Monogram Terry Cloth Slippers $14.95 | Best Bridesmaids Gifts

But i'm sure you are correct. Maybe our deposit counted as authorization. We've worked it out and there will be no charge. it was just a shock. The resort can drop their rates a zillion times before we arrive. Those charges really could have racked up
  13. So I'm watching Rock the Reception on TLC right now and it's totally cracking me up. My FI really wants to take swing dancing lessons (He's 6"6 and I'm 5"2) I kinda put the stop on it because our reception is on the beach but we ordered a dance floor so now I'm getting back in to the idea. Just wondering if anyone out there is doing something different for their first dance. Love to hear your thoughts!
  14. Oh bummer! I sent my mom over there today and they only had children's flips left.
  15. I can't say I'm surprised. There seems to be one on every corner in Chicago. I finally got myself off the coffee. Thank god, I was addicted to caffeine. Great new for me because I just figured out I was spending over $500 a year on stupid plain coffee. I could get one amazing pair of shoes with that money
  16. I absolutely loved this book too. What a sweet, sweet proposal and very insightful too. Congratulations!!! I wish nothing but the best for you two!
  17. Your story made me cry. What an amazing moment for you two. Congratulations!!!
  18. That's one for the books. I love it! Very cute. Congratulations!!
  19. That's a great price. Book it!!!! American I found had really great prices. But from NYC you could also check Jet Blue
  20. Oh I know what you mean darling. My TA was way off on pricing until we got with in 9 months of the wedding. I think they have a hard time confirming prices that far out. Seriously, try Mexico. We started out interested in Turks & Caicos and it was sooooo unbelievably expensive so we switched to Mexico because we knew we could get reasonable prices there. Good luck and Congrats!!!
  21. Welcome to the forum. If you like the Dreams resorts. Check out the Dreams Tulum Brides thread. They've got a ton of the details knocked out there. Congratulations and good luck
  22. Congratulations and Welcome. You'll find loads of information here
  23. Welcome and Congrats! Great choice on the RM. I'm biased though
  24. Congrats and welcome! You've got plenty of time so I'd imagine you'll be a total pro by the time your wedding rolls around
  25. You're the best ladies. Thanks for all the support and encourgement. I'm going to get a backbone and send my TA and email (so I have everything in writing) What should I be worried about? I have over 22 rooms booked so far. With the wedding and all the extras I've ordered...that's a good hunk o change for the resort and the TA. I should get better service. You guys are the best. I'm so glad I found this site
