  1. Everything is beautiful! I saw those OOT bags this week at JoAnn's and now they are 30% off of $12.99, so I am just waiting until they go cheaper! Also, where is his shirt from, I really like it!?
  2. Desiree - First, I love your pictures! We are thinking about Evita's for our reception, and I have tried emailing her using the address from the site, but it keeps bouncing back. DO you happen to have a different email address for her other than [email protected]?? Thanks and Congrats!

  5. It is probably the BC...my doctor once told me that the running joke about BC is that it prevents you from getting pregnant by killing your libido.
  6. I live in FL and I love McDonald's sweet tea, actually that is the only thing I will get from there. I miss it when I am up north, where they look at you funny if you ask for sweet tea.
  7. I got really into spinning last year for awhile, and was going 4-5x a week for an hour. I stopped when I realized my legs and butt were no longer fitting in my jeans b/c the muscles were getting tone and big! I returned to working out on my own and was able to fit my butt back in my pants. After looking back on it, the girls that were there all the time all had big thighs and butts. It was an awesome workout...maybe it was just me, but be careful!
  8. I voted no, I think it is a very cute dress...I just think I have seen the same style a lot cheaper. Especially considering you want them to be hemmed, which adds to the price. Maybe I am cheap, but as a BM I wouldn't be thrilled with that price even if I would wear it again. Sorry!
  9. Thanks for the suggestions so far! I have started with a book so that I can make an educated decision when choosing a camera. Two more questions for the time being...what is the #1 or #2 feature that you look for in a camera? Also, do you have a favorite store (online too) that you purchase most of your equipment from?
  10. I was recently a bridesmaid and the bride gave us all a necklace and earring set from Looney Maiden. It was style B-15 and made of clear swarovski crystals and white pearls. We all really liked them! Good luck! Beautiful Bridal Jewelry | Bridesmaid Jewelry | Wedding Jewelry | Wedding Accessories
  11. Ok...I have always been into photography, and by that I mean I bring my camera everywhere and am always the one taking pictures of all my friends and places I visit. I really would like to learn more and become a "professional" of sorts, most likely just as a hobby. I currently have a compact digital Nikon, which really restricts what I am able to do. So, my questions to the photographers of the forum are: 1. I don't have extra money right now to take classes, so the next best thing would be books or videos. Any suggestions? Do you think I will be missing out on valuable lessons without having an instructor/mentor in person? 2. I am saving up for a digital SLR. How much should I expect to spend for a quality camera that won't break the bank? I would like a camera that will be easy to use for a beginner, but not something I will grow out of once I figure things out (hopefully that makes sense)u. Any specific camera suggestions? Feel free to throw in any other random advice. With all the great photographers on this forum, I couldn't think of a better place to ask! Thanks for the advice!

I am not crazy about the arch, so I would probably do something similiar to yours. By the pictures on the website it looks as though some of the sites are shaded by trees...that is a huge plus! If you liked the restaurant and think of the name, please let me know! Once we narrow things down a little bit, I might have some more specific questions for you. Thanks for the info so far! Do you happen to have a post on the forum with pics?
  13. Springbride-- Thanks for sharing, it is promising to hear another good review about her. For your beach wedding, did you have chairs and an arch? I too was thinking about just doing a reception that night on the ship to allow my guests to explore the island...do you mind me asking which cruiseline and what restaurant or bar you used? Thanks! Kishalee-- Thanks for letting me know about The Ruins, it looks beautiful... I will be checking into it more!
  14. Driftaway- I have heard some good reviews about her, do you happen to have a price list from her? Wow...2 weeks! You must be so excited, I hope you have a wonderful trip and wedding day. Please post a review when you get back!!
  15. We are toying with the idea of getting married in port(Ocho Rios) while on a cruise. After going through the 19 pages of Jamaica threads, I found maybe one post talking about using a WC other than an AI resort. I believe that most resorts allow you to buy day passes, even so that is a cost we are not wanting to deal with. I know cruiselines have their own WC, but through other forums I have heard horrible reviews, so that is not an option either. Basically, We want to get married on the beach or overlooking the beach and then have a small cocktail/lunch at a beach restaurant (preferably), and I would like a steel drum band. Is this too much to ask!? The only restaurants that I can find that would work for this are in resorts. So, has anyone done something similiar or can you recommend a WC or restaurant you heard about outside of the resorts? Remember, since we will be on a cruise, we will be a little strapped for time...meaning we can't venture too far from port. Please any advice would help!
  16. hehe, unfortunately it's not available at my work. Well, since posting this thread I did a little more research, it looks as though Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 sells for $65-$100, the cheapest requiring a student ID (which I am no longer one). However, I did come across this $20 rebate through Adobe if you purchase the program. The purchase must be made by 10/31/08, and you must own (or know someone who does) a program from the list provided on the rebate. It only requires a photocopy of the program cd or a print out from one of the programs, which you could easily get from a friend. Anyway...here is the rebate form, in case anyone else was thinking about purchasing the new elements program. AdobePhotoElements6.pdf
  17. I think they are great..I like the text refelection in the water, nice touch!
  18. I searched the forum and wasn't really able to come up with an answer to my questions. I would like to buy adobe photoshop for a couple of reasons...to do invites & STDs, but also because I am slowly getting into photography (just as a hobby). I understand that Adobe Photoshop Elements is the cheaper version, but is it really that different from the expensive one, because the price is sure different? Also, where can I find the best deal on Photoshop products? Is it possible to buy it from someone else who bought it...I would assume the only disadvantage would be that you couldn't register it? Thanks for any advice!
  19. You should check out the cruise critic wedding forum (google it, b/c I don't think I can post a link here), they have a forum dedicated to weddings/honeymoons. You will find a lot of mixed reviews about going through the cruiseline's wedding planners, unfortunately mostly bad. Personally, I like this forum a lot more, especially for all the great DIY advice, but there isn't too much specific info on here about cruise weddings (at least that I could find). Good Luck!
  20. Forgive my TA ignorance, I have always booked my own trips, but I was wondering how it worked. Do you pay a flat TA fee? If they find you better deals than you can find on your own, how is it that they are making their money? Once on a group trip, a TA (relative of one of my friends) booked us a room to save us money, but it ended up being the same price that we had been quoted by the hotel. Can anyone explain the perks to hiring a TA and how it all works, or just direct me to the appropriate post? (Sorry, not trying to take over this thread, but I thought it was a good place to ask.) THANKS!
  21. I have always liked " I carry your heart with me" by EE Cummings (also from the movie In Her Shoes.) i carry your heart with me i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it(anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) i fear no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
