  1. All are in the Jr Suites, but I didn't use the shampoo/conditioner, so I couldn't tell you if they are good or not. Also, ONLY jr suites have irons just to note. Have FUN!!

There is a whole Thread with Photography info. I didn't even look into him since we knew we weren't going to use him. Seagrape Welcome Cocktail $400 (10 p/p open bar private) Flowers $1000 (Bridal and 5 bridesmaids calla lillies, 6 guys, flower girl petals) Steele Drum Band during Ceremony $350 Beach Arch $200 2 extra bottles of champagne for after ceremony $30 "symbolic ceremony charge" (we legally got married here) $165 Seagrape Reception $400 (10 p/p open bar private) DJ for 3 hours $350 Tipping for everyone... $200-250ish?

Wedding was at 1pm, then dinner at Mamee at 7, then seagrape from 8:30-11:30. We originally were planning on starting at 8pm, but most were finished with dinner at 8:30-8:45. The nice thing is that Mammee looks down to Seagrape, so a few went down early to set some things up.

We actually didn't use the RIU photographer... To be honest, I wasn't that impressed w/ his pics, especially considering his prices, but to each her own. We just had some designated family take pictures and I "tried" to put together the best ones. So far, we have over 1000 of family pics that they dumped on kodakgallery under my name. If we got married at home, I would have had no problem paying a lot more for pics, but they would have been more the style that I wanted-cameo/documentary type. Good luck with whatever decision you make!

The only thing that we didn't really plan out was all the tipping. I mean, we had the money, but we ended up running back up to our room a couple of times to make sure we had the right amount each night/day: St Anne's waiters night before Welcome at the Seagrape-Bartenders Minister Steele Drum Band Chandlyn waiters at Mammee Bay Reception at Seagrapeo-Bartenders DJ at Reception As far as everything else, I brought all my confirmation emails for reference, so I kind of used that as my checklist in my meeting with Chandlyn. Hope that helps!

I have about 25 guests and I'm trying to figure out how many center peices to bring. Thanks! We had 40 people total and one long table with 34 people, and then a small table at the head (forming a T) with 6 seats, which worked perfect because we had two matrons/bestmen. There was another wedding, though, that probably had 24-28 and only had a long table.
  8. We just got back from our honeymoon in Negril and the last two weeks have been incredible! We got down there on a Sunday, asked about a upgrade when we checked in and were upgraded to an Ocean suite on Tuesday. We met with Chandlyn and went over things really quickly. I had all of my email confirmations, but it made me a little nervous that she was making notes of things that were already "confirmed". We ended up spending 3g on our free wedding with the upgrades. Our flowers were 1g, which is completely ridiculous, but I absolutely loved them. We did a Welcome Cocktail at Seagrape with burned CD's, tables, and fire posts. Friday, our ceremony was at 1pm. I'm not going to lie, the break between ceremony/pictures seemed REALLY long and tiring. A bunch of our family changed and went to the pool, but all of the bridal party stayed in their gear. We ate at Mammee Steak for dinner (it was super good), and then had the Seagrape for our actual reception at well. We had a DJ, and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! There was another bride/party and they danced on the outskirts of our party just watching... I'm so happy that we went w/ the Seagrape instead of the alternatives. Chandlyn was GREAT and came through on everything. I was a little nervous, but she was really fantastic. Here are some of my pics...I'm hoping to have more of the reception soon. Warning...there are a lot of "family" pics... Kodakgallery.com*Join now and receive beautiful photographic prints from your camera
  9. I like the $50-$100 plus a gift. I'm thinking that I'll give the gift when we first meet to go over plans (and have her be in a helpful mood) and then give the cash tip after all the festivities.
  10. Welcome...good luck w/ wedding plans!
  11. Have Fun! Maybe we will cross paths since my wedding is only a day after yours! I'm sure that everything will turn out beautiful.
  12. I'm having them for the service (to walk down the isle) and then for pictures and rumpunch after. I'm just having an hour as well. I don't know what songs, but I figured that they'll have a list since it's so common...

I am currently waiting for them to send me a contract before I send them a deposit. Yes, I'm so happy to hear that you are using them as well! They were quoting not quite much less for me as well. Same delivery fee. Did Chandlyn tell you specifically about no fee from RIU? I should probably have it from her in an email just in case... Makes me so much more relieved!
  17. I've been in contact with several outside florists, and Kreations Flowers is about $500 less than Tai Flora for what I'm looking for. I read in the flower/photographer thread that Chandlyn said that we could use outside florists, but just wondering if anyone has had success with it? I'm starting to stress and need to make a decision ASAP! Thanks!

I give credit to the people who ship their stuff or bring it along, but I didn't want the extra stress. Good luck!
  19. We actually handed most of our bags out at Christmas with a Welcome/Info/Itinerary/Packing List Guide (similar to MoBride's w/ some tweaks). It worked out really well because it made everyone super excited and interested. The rest, we are handing out at our Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties in a week, and we'll end up mailing a few out. We just didn't want to deal w/ bringing them or shipping them to Jamaica. We do know that there is a chance a few may forget their mugs, but we did put it on the packing list!
  20. Congrats! Thanks for posting the pics...everything looks beautiful!

Hi Brittney, We are considering switching to the Seagrape for our reception as well. What are your plans for music? We are also having a cocktail reception the night before and are just using a CD player. Thanks!
  22. Thanks for posting the pictures Mo! Those are great pictures of Seagrape bar and I've been looking all over for some! PS...love your terry pink suit...did you order it online?
