  5. oohhh i love fried matzo! for anyone that doesn't know how to make it - take 1 sheet of matzo, crumble and let soak in boiling water (just enough to cover) for 5 to 10 min. take 2 eggs and beat them, add in salt, lots of pepper and a dash of dried dill. drain the matzo from the water and mix with the egg mixture. make like you would make scrambled eggs in a nonstick pan or in butter or whatever. YUMMM my husband loves this

La Esperanza Restaurant & Bar (in NJ) Xochitl (Philly) Lolita (Philly across from El Vez) uh-oh i'm getting hungry! and Katrina when you go to El Camino make sure to get the Nachos with Steak and Guac - they are off the hook! Blkatz - i am PM'ing you

[i found this (Awesome 80s Prom, Off Broadway, Bachelorette Parties, New York) which looks amazingly fun, but it's in NYC and i just don't think everyone will want that much hassle involved (limo or train, possibly a room, etc.). why can't this be in philly?] are you looking to bar hop? or park it up at one place and just party? how big of a group? are you planning it or just giving suggestions?? Let me know if you need any ideas-I live and work in center city Blkatz - i live and work in C.C. too! what neighborhood do you live in? have i asked this before? lol We have been dying to go to Chifa - did you like it? Quote: Originally Posted by katrina if you want to do a mexican restaurant i'd suggest el vez. it's one of the steven starr restaurants and it's delish with awesome drinks! it can be pricey though. a cheaper option would be el azteca. you can byo tequila and they make a mean margarita. my bachelorette party was in olde city. the girls went to continental for martinis and the guys went to mahogany for cigars. then we met up at lucy's hat shop (a bar, not a hat shop) on 3rd and market. blkatz made a good call on lucky strike. it's a bar/bowling alley and is a lot of fun.. but no dancing there. but whatever you do... don't go to mad river.. groooooooss. Katrina - i love El Vez as well but I would actually suggest El Camino Real over El Vez - not as expensive and just as good if not better - it is new and on Liberties Walk across from Bar Ferdinand. and El Azteca recently got their liquor license so i am not sure if you can bring your own tequila anymore Lucky Strike or North Bowl are GREAT ideas! sooo maybe we are onto something here... you guys could go to El Camino Real (mexican food, margaritas, great jukebox, fun atmosphere - then after dinner walk like 4 blocks south to North Bowl (you could reserve the area upstairs where they have 2 private bowling lanes and a lounge area next to the upstairs bar - it is nice and overlooks the whole downstairs!)
  8. girls - we have over 8 Buddy's so far - keep signing up - 2 more days until the deadline!

Danyelle, We went to Hawaii for 2 weeks - we spent the 1st week on Big Island with our family and friends and had our wedding - the next day we flew to Kauai (alone!) for a week for our Honeymoon. I HIGHLY recommend having a completely seperate honeymoon - changing Islands / resorts / areas /etc. It is such a special time right after you are married and you should be alone together to enjoy it! P.S. I moved this thread to the "Honeymoon Talk" area of the forum Alyssa
  16. Religion is always a touchy subject so please everyone remember to be respectful even if you don't understand, relate or like what someone posts. Thanks!! as for me - i put "more spiritual than religious" b/c I do not believe you have to belong to a organized group to be considered "religious"
