  1. All my guests are staying at different hotels, condos, etc. We decided to drive the OOT bags around and drop them off for our guests once they have checked in. I considered possibly bringing the ones we missed to our Welcome Dinner but I would hate it if someone left it at the restaurant by mistake. Also, since we are providing airport shuttles for our guests, I'm having all my guests fill out an additional RSVP card with the invite so I will know when they are arriving and which hotel they are staying in. This will also make it easier to know how to distribute the OOT bags.

On them I listed my website that had some very limited information but it also said that more info would be mailed out in September. So now this is the Travel/Hotel information. This is strictly for their travel plans. Since I figured our guests will probably be booking their travel plans before they receive their invitations, I wanted to get them the info in advance. So now, they know about all the events and can book their travel based on how many days they want to stay and which events they want to attend. I will be mailing the actual invites in December. By then, they should know if they are coming or not and have their flights/hotels booked already.

For 64 books it cost me $675. But I also used a higher grade paper. And they didn't give me the envelopes, I went to Staples for that. Plus, the stamps were $0.58 because of the size of the envelope and weight of the books. Hope this helps.

  5. I completely stole this idea from a company called Pulp Invitations. I loved the look of this "Event Concierge" but when I priced it out with one of their distributers, it was going to cost around $1100 PLUS it was going to take 3 weeks for printing. So, I took my sample to Kinkos and had them copy it. We used different colors but it's the same idea. It ended up being a lot less money and I had it in 3 DAYS!!! This is not my actual invitation, it's just all the travel and hotel info my guests are going to need in order to book their trips. I have the same info on our website but I wanted to mail something out to my guests as well and this works great. There is a separate page for each item. I just love the way it came out. Sorry the pics are so big. I'm still getting used to the whole Photobucket thing.

I just have to see what I'm actually going to use them for so I can decide which one I'm using where. Thanks for your help ladies!
  7. At least this thread is good motivation for when I go to The Cheesecake Factory tonight. I will definitely skip the bread and cheesecake now.
  8. This thread is making me nauseous - I'm so FAT!!!

  10. I'm going to be honest - I love eating and sleeping. I DEFINITELY need new hobbies. I actually also love going to foreign films but I haven't been in awhile.
  11. I don't have any advice on when the sun sets over there, but I agree that you should try to get the ceremony in before the sunset for your pictures. Then once your pics are done, your guests can enjoy watching the sun set with dinner and dancing.
  12. Oh boy, I'm so confused. My family doesn't like any of the "fun" ones (starfish, palm trees.) They say those logos don't really "tie in" to the simple, elegant look I'm going for. I think I may end up with the last one. Or I may have to ask for more sample to see what else may look good. I originally wanted the first one but now that I see it, I'm not sure it's going to work. At least I know I LOVE the colors. That's not changing. Thanks for all your help.

When your FI steps infront of the altar, he can walk up to the chair that his dad would have been sitting in, and he can place a single rose on it. And then when you walk down the aisle, you too can place a single rose on the seat your dad would have sat in. This gives me chills everytime I tell someone about it. It's such a meaningful gesture and everyone will see it.
  14. Who are you getting the candle for (if you don't mind me asking?)

I really like them all.
  16. The store must be just protecting themselves with that timeline. They probably don't want to promise you too short a time period and then have a nervous bride if it doesn't come in when you thought it would.
  17. Oh, that's so great. Keep up the good work!!! BTW - my coworker received her shipment of the ChefZone frozen foods. She said they are so good. She had a breakfast burrito that at first she thought wouldn't be enough, but she said it ended up being just enough and she wasn't still hungry.
  18. I like green with the turquois (but also maybe add some pink, red, orange colors to give it a bold look.) Sorry if this didn't help - I just realized that's a lot of colors to pick from.

  20. Ok Ladies, I just decided to run EVERYTHING past you before I make any decisions. It goes in this order - Ask my mom & sisters, ask the forum, ask Brendan. HA!!! Ok, so here are the logos I requested. Which one do you like the best? We will most likely use it for our menu cards, stamps, programs, that sort of thing. We are kind of leaning towards the last one, but I want your honest opinion. Thanks! Logos.doc
