  1. Do you happen to remember who posted that? I'd like to PM them if possible... if you don't - no biggie, I'm still waiting for a reply from Jazmin, but I can ask her
  2. Amyh, That is EXACTLY what I'm looking for!!! Darn, I should've researched the wedding setups better before we chose our resort. Tlseege, thank you for that! One thing I don't want to do is have to pay for a bartender... I hopefully want to setup close to the beach/pool bar (save some $$$ you know).
  3. We are staying at the Gran Bahia Principe (there are three different hotels to stay at - Tulum, Akumal & Coba) - you can use the facilities at all three though. We have two children (5 & 7) coming with us. I know they have a kids club and a lot of different activities throughout the day for them (eg: Pinata Time, arts & crafts, spanish lessons, contests, etc.)
  4. Julie, do you mind me asking what they are charging you to build a dance floor? Do you have to pay extra for the DJ??
  5. Thanks ladies... I never really thought about how hard it would be to actually dance in the sand. A dance floor or by the pool would be good options. Does anyone have pics of by the pool?? Or a dance floor? I just emailed Jazmin at the Bahia for prices... but I wanted to send her a pic of what I mean (as we've had a few minimal problems with the language). I'll be sure to post on the Bahia thread when she gets back to me.
  6. I'm having a hard time finding pictures of a beach setup for the dance portion of our wedding. We have the option of renting the disco at our resort, but I really like the idea dancing in the sand. Has anyone done this? If so, could you post pictures of your setup? I'm trying to give our WC an idea of what we want to do. Thanks so much!!
  7. It's beautiful!!! Congrats... and at a great price too!!

  9. I voted for #2 (but I would change the chain it comes on)... but after seeing the dresses, I think #3 would be a great choice. EDIT: Sorry I didn't read the last post.... I see you're going for #3. Can I ask where you're getting them from on ebay
  10. Right out of a fairy tale!! Best of luck to the two of you, although I'm sure you won't need it... can't wait to see the wedding pics!!
  11. I voted for no e-ring, but this was for myself and my situation. My opinion for your situation is to wait. There is really no point in rushing and pressuring him when he's not ready (finanacially) could mean tension in the relationship later. Either way, best of luck to you!!
  12. Trista, those are verrry pretty!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Julesr Okay, I really want these only cheaper. My BM's decided to go barefoot (I gave them the option). One option would be to make them yourself - I was thinking about doing this as I can't afford to spend over $40 for shoes/sandals. I was looking through Ladybead.com - they have some good sales here ($12.50 - $19.50/pair).
  13. beachbirde, those are beautiful! Thanks for the website... did you happen to visit their "Beach Bride Jewellery" site? It's here if you want to take a look, they have some pretty things too.
  14. So, now I have my dress, which is just long enough for me, so my only option is barefoot sandals. Just wondering if any of you have worn them or will be wearing them for your wedding? If so, which ones did you get and from where?
  15. Thanks girls for all the wonderful comments! As Christa said, I am "super stoked"!!! Kelly (dragonfly), we are getting hitched on January 9, 2008. Just Martha, the dress is Alfred Sung and the style number is 7009.
  16. I found it on another wedding forum for sale. It turned out that the girl selling it lived about an hour away from me so I got to try it on!
  17. That's right... this dress has already been worn by two other brides! (And it's visited more countries than I have, hehe). So, what do you think? It's a little big and has to be taken in from the bust down to the hips... but this dress was a steal so it's worth it! One more for fun: Sorry, I'm just soooo excited!
  18. Aww, those are awesome! I'd buy my pug a suit if they weren't $80, haha.
  19. We were intially going to have our wedding at home. So I went out and bought the fifth dress I tried on... the saleslady was very persistent that I buy the dress that day as it was the only one they had left. So I did. A couple weeks later... I realized it's not at all what I like. I've never been a poofy dress girl and this was a very poofy princesslike dress. Well, we changed our plans... now a DW, so this was a great excuse (to myself) to get a different dress - and I did - now with a mermaid skirt.
  20. Thanks so much... I think it's ridiculous that they charge you an extra $30 if its a bridal styling compared to a regular stying.
  21. Sorry for the hijack - anacgarcia, could I please get a copy of the religious vows (in Spanish and English if possible)? Thanks!
