  1. We are throwing a "Pre-Wedding Fiesta" on Labor Day weekend. My Mom is really creative and has come up with lots of fun ideas. Here are some of my favorites: - For favors we filled little white boxes with authentic Mexican candies, and then decorated the boxes with bright ribbon. -We made TONS of tissue paper flowers and are planning on using them everywhere. - Each table gets their own salsa, guacomole, and chips. -We painted Margarita glasses, filled them with sand, and added a votive inside. - We bought some large margarita glasses, and are going to put pyramids of key limes in them. - We are having a "tequila tasting" table with different brands of tequila, shot glasses, salt and limes. -There will also be margarita machines and coronas, of course. - We bought a pinata with long streamers and are going to use it as a decoration over the dance floor, and have guests hit it at the end of the night That's all I can think of for now...
  2. I like everything, especially the straw bags!
  3. Welcome to the boards! Good luck with all of your planning
  4. Quote: I came across this dress while shopping online at Victoria's Secret. I am not sure how dressy you are looking for but this may be an option. I am also looking for pink BM dresses and they prefer it to not be strapless. Here's the link: Victoria's Secret - Halter sundress Quote: Check out Thread too, they have tons of styles and fabrics and colors and prices: THREAD - Chiffon Duchess Thanks for sharing those! I am so glad that I posted this thread..I have found several dresses that I really love Now I am just waiting to hear the Bridesmaid's thoughts....

LOVE them!!! Thanks for sharing.

(I am a 0) and I couldn't tell what it would look like on. Do you have any pics of your girls in them?? Thanks
  9. Oooh, Alyssa- you are good at finding cute dresses I am going to send some of these pics to my BM's and see what they think. I REALLY love the Maggy London. Thanks for your help!
  10. Hmmm..I am not sure about the Ipod deal. For ours, we are having a Spanish Guitar Trio for the ceremony, and then they will travel into the cocktail hour space. After cocktail hour, our DJ will start playing.

Ours were $205 with all taxes and alterations, but I know for a fact you can get them cheaper on line and at other stores, but we needed them on a rush basis, so I had no time to look elsewhere. I really like those, Julie! This "no strapless" deal makes finding a dress harder than I had originally thought...

Oh, that sounds a little high to me! Our total buyout package will cost $31,775 for 5 nights. This also includes open bar all week, breakfast buffet each morning, two dinners, one food or beverage station and one entertainment selection. For us, our guests will each pay for their own room, and any leftover rooms are our responsibility. Also, all of our deposit money will be transferred to our wedding/reception costs. Yes, lets swap contracts...i will PM you mine right now! Jackie
  16. We are doing fireworks for our PV wedding. The cost is $600.00 for a 2-3 minute display. The price is a little high, but I think it is well worth the "wow" factor!

(An additional deposit of $5,000 would have been due 3 months prior to our wedding date, if no more than half of our rooms had been booked.) Are your rates similiar??

  20. That's actually the tour we are now thinking about taking. I guess it is more of a ziplining/rapelling/mule-riding adventure!
