  1. I want to add iris's now, I like the idea of a flower that mean's faith, & wisdom. The flowers I have chosen mean Love & Passion. I think this describe's Everton and I perfectly~
  2. I love all the dresses, I love all the white, I wish I had asked everyone to wear white or beige, it looks so nice. Once again Anny, you are so pretty, thanks for sharing your pictures. Oh yeah, wow that is alot of beautiful girls in one place!!!
  3. Oh so cute, the idea's from you girls are flying!!! You are overwhelming me with idea's, I want to do them all, I could totally do this on the ivory shoe's I bought, I could actually put little dragonfly pins, that would be so pretty. Oh now I have more decisions to make, ugggg, stop girls, please stop with all the freakin good idea's.... hehehe
  4. So cute, my mom bought me a clutch that looks similar to that, it has a rose on it, and I don't like the rose. I think I am totally going to take the rose off and do the pin on it, the only question is, I love the starfish, but I am thinking a dragonfly? I have a dragonfly tatoo that is going to show with my wedding dress, it is on my back betweeen my shoulderblades, I have a whole dragonfly tatoo thing, they represent the people I have lost, so I wonder if I should do a dragonfly on my purse. And maybe in my bouquet, along with the starfish in my bouquet?

The candles, table favours, and accesserories are being packed in buble wrap, and I have a really big suitcase for all the wedding stuff. I have 7 of us going, we are allowed 2 pieces of luggage each that is 14 pieces (no I am not bringing 14 pieces, lol)of luggage so I am not to worried about having tooo much luggage with the wedding stuff. I am, however, stressing a bit with all that needs to be brought. I am telling everyone after the wedding to help themselves to the candles on the table, maybe it will make the rooms a little more romantic, LOL.
  6. Tara so beautiful! Did I miss a thread, when did you decide on a wedding party I like the idea of your bouquet different then the rest. I would choose a flower from yours and make their bouquets out of that flower.

It actually is a little more blue then it shows up, but subtle enought that I think it would look pretty with a wedding dress. The other pair is actually not white, they are ivory with almost a golden blush to them, my dress has a pale gold sash on my dress. Wow I can't believe how many of you girls love the blue!
  8. I thought I would share some of the details of our wedding, None of it is really put together yet, I will do that when I am away, but it gives you an iea of some of our details. The rocks, coins, and bell placecards will be grouped together at everyone's dinner setting. The candles, pillars, and the glass candles, I have 10 of each size for a total of 40 candles, I am going to put the shell pot pourie all around the candles, and spread the candles in various sizes down the middle of the table. My children's clothes are all different, because they are very different personalities so I wanted that to shine through, our kids are our wedding party. The flowers are for mine, and my three daughters hair. I put one on the ivory material for my wedding dress for you Jilly, so you could get an idea of how the flower matched the ivory, I think it would look pretty with white also. The necklace is the beautiful necklace that I wrote about Everton giving to me. Our wedding ring pics didn't turn out but they are beautiful. The shell creatures I think are going to be sticking out of the sand where I want people to kick there shoes off, not sure though what to do with them. The bubble tray will be full. Liam wants to be a flower boy so the tin bucket I thought would be cute. The sighn is going to be on the table where our ribbon for people to sign happy wishes, and the bubbles and fans, will be. Oh yeah we did his & her fans. Hope you like the oot bags, I did seperate ones for the kids, and my mugs were personalized with a cladagh, and friendship, love, & loyalty, and Dominican Republic. I just had to show you our shirts ,they are just so much fun, E, and I also have a bride and groom happy face, most of you probably saw them in my girls night out pics. The blue undies are my wedding undies (something blue) they say Everton loves Kelly on them they are too cute!!! Well this gives you a bit of an idea of what we are doing, I just hope it all comes together!! dragonfly_5/Wedding details - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  9. I could not get a decent picture, but you can kind of get what my rings look like a little. I love my rings, they are so simple (I don't wear any jewellery except a long chain with 3 lockets on it) so I neede pretty, sparkly and simple. The diamonds are beautiful diamonds but you can not tell at all from this picture. Hopefully my photographer at the wedding will do them justice.
  10. I had promised I would show off my invitation that Liam and I made. I couldn't find the final outcome (I gave them all away, forgot to save one for myself) but here is one the ink ran a little on this one, but you get the idea. On the back of this we put the children's names inviting everyone to join them in the Caribbean, for their parents wedding, with all of the information. I thought you might get a kick out of this Laura~ Sorry for the size, but we should all know by now that I don't know what I'm doing!!!
  11. Yeahhh I am soooo glad he is home and doing better!

  14. Help me choose my shoes girls. I bought the first pair, they were just so bridal, and pretty, but very simple. Then today I found these pretty blue shoes. I had always thought my shoes would be my something blue, so I bought them. Now I must decide which shoes to wear, what do you think? The first pair Kelly~
  15. I can undestand that if the family is all leaving the kids behind, then you wouldn't want other people bringing theirs. I do think kids get a bad rap, for the most part they are better behaved then most people give them credit. I do agree that you most likely wouldn't notice a couple of little kids running around, and believe me nothing would ever take away from the attention the bride will get, after all everyone loves a bride. I guess what everyone is saying is you won't even notice the kids, but you may notice if the parents of the kids can't come. Only you however can decide what is most important to you on your wedding day. Good luck~

However, I am just a bit skeptical as he is going to put everything to disk and we have to print frame and create our own album so that is a lot of work. I got a qoute from Juan Carlos Tapia photgraphy and for 12 hours in total of shoot he wanted $8000. He does great work but $8000 is soooooooo expensive. So I feel sick on what to do, since I want fabulous pics. Are you getting the resort to do the video portion of it too?? Do you have direct email to the photographer at all. Sabrina I am going to get the resort to video the ceremoy, I am going to have the resort photographer take pics, I am going to bring examples of what I want. My daughter, Kenda, who is a fairly good photographer is going ot also take pictures, I have promised her a really good camera next week, so her quality will be better. Kenda is good, but I need a photographer, I am just crossing my fingers that one of the three they have will be pretty good. I agree I think $8000.00 is too much money, no matter how good you are, I promise that I will e-mail you my pictures from the photographer, and if you can hold off till the end of August to make decisions, you will be better advised by me. I think E and I are going to head to Mexico for our honeymoon, next pril/may and I will do a ttd session with one of the wonderful photographers there, but I will decide that after I see how my photographer will be.
  17. hehehehe, your too funny, now go order your doll's, so we will really have something to celebrate I don't think I collect anything...oh maybe, ahh kids...
  18. At the end of the day we all must make the choices that are right for us. I hope your day is all you want it to be. Kudo's for your honesty with people, I really hope it is smooth sailing from here on in for you. Kelly~

I too blame myself for the failure of my 1st marriage. that's a lot of weight to bear. i know that i am happy now, as is my ex, so i tell myself it's all for the better. but the "what ifs" are always there! all i can do is love paul as best I can, and do everything in my power to make this work. and i will. and so will you. things do happen for a reason. you're where you should be now. be thankful for that! and you can talk to us at any time, about anything! Thanks girls, it makes me feel better knowing that all of you have times that you felt the same way, it realy does feel the stakes are higher the second time around, doesn't it! I guess flutterby's are normal, so I will try to embrace them, LOL. Thanks for the responses because as I was writing, I was thinking ohhh, no one talks out loud about their fears of marriage, just about the happiness, so it was a relief to know that you girls got it, understood, and knew all the right things to say you girls (you too Jason, who offered his own words of wisdom to me) are the BEST, I don't care if no one gets my passion for you guys, I am happy I found all of you Girls thanks for the nice words about my dad, he would have thought this forum hillarious and teased me like crazy, but he would be happy to know that I have (in such an unexpected place) found so many great friends Tammy, I think your fear is a testament to how much you love Cain. You are right you can't live your life worrying about losing someone you love, you would miss out on so much. I am glad you worked through your fears so you were able to marry Cain. If one day you and Cain decide children are in your future, you will make a great mom, to have that much love inside of you is a great gift. Wow that was alot of group hugging, I feel much better now Kelly~

But as far as resort decisions, I don't know how to decide yet or how soon I need to. How long have you been planning? So excited for you! Can't wait to hear back about everything from a fellow DR bride!!! I have been in contact with the wc, I was really not a bride who bugged her too much, in the early stages, just some peliminary questions, prices, venue options, things like that. I still have not picked my flower's, I will do that when I get there, so I can see what they have (I know I want roses) I have chosen the trio, haven't picked songs yet, again I will talk with them when I get there, I have chosen my venue, talked table choices, told her I wanted the DJ for the reception, talked menu with my wc, but final decisions will be made once again when we get there. The cake I will again decide when there, I hear they are awful (taste good though) so I will do simple and add flower's. I have told my wc a little bit about what I want at te ceremony, and she has said we will confirm all that on arrival. The stuff I have really been working on is my own things, oot bags, table decor, things such as that. I would say that as long as your venue is chosen everything will fall into place, although there are no other bride's getting married on the day I am so it has made it much easier.

  22. Can't wait to see! I am not sure what to do about my hair for the wedding, I was thinking of "trying" to lighten it a bit also, I don't know if it would work since my hair is so dark. I was also thinking of maybe cutting it to my shoulders, it's so long I can't do anything with it. I am a big chicken though, since the wedding is so soon, you are a brave girl Andrea.
  23. Dancing in the sand would be difficult, dancing in the sand while drinking, now that could be funny! Our resort has a beach Terrace that we have rented out for the dance portion of the evening, so we will get the beach atmosphere, but still be able to dance. Is there anything like that at your resort?
  24. Don't worry about the weather. Your guests are there to see you get married, and rain or not they are going to get a beautiful wedding, sun is just the bonus... Kelly~
