(woohoo! ) Anyways, I want to nominate her because she has totally been there for me the whole way - we would schedule "monthly freakout sessions" which consisted of us each grabbing a bottle of wine and then chatting on Facebook - lol. Totally missing her today, btw cause now it's my 1 month countdown! Martin's my partner though If she counts as Mrs. then my B2B nom would be Jacylinda because she was SO great at helping Martin and I find a decent Banana Republic coupon! (Jac- Martin says he's going to do a silent honorary toast to you at the wedding, LOL ) Tons of great girls on here though, of course everyone has been so helpful over the years it's always so tough to just pick one for each category!

AHHHHH!!!! My BM who is handling the bach party just txted me back saying she was waiting to get the email list from my MOH. WTF ~ I sent her the email list last Sunday April 12th!!! Gosh, I am SO frustrated but do not know how to express myself without coming across as a bitch. I have already expressed to her also that I'm concerned about ppl not getting the invites in time

Well, I've already emailed MOH a few times regarding the concern over the invites. She finally got them out last week I think (so people got them about 11-12 days in advance)... My Grandma is throwing me a Bridal Luncheon a week from Wednesday and she got her invites out a week before my MOH. MOH just says she's swamped with work, etc. I had lunch with my sis last week and she totally felt bad for me and offered to help, so I told MOH that sis would totally help her - I even offered to help her! I mean, I didn't want to plan my own shower, but would have rather helped than had them sent out so late... I've been communicating here and there without trying to sounds like a huge b!tch. *sigh* I really don't like confrontation though and didn't feel more than that was warranted at the time... and don't think it would help the situation any more now... ugh Sadly hindsight is 20/20. Would probably have had family members more involved if I knew it would be such trouble for them to handle these things (which both offered to do, btw!)

Sounds like your Dad has a huge phobia about flying - poor guy!! My Dad's ex-gf had that, and she had to take 2 Xanax to be able to fly. Is that a possibility?? If you have him go to see his doc and explain the situation they should be able to prescribe him that. If he is THAT worked up it shouldn't knock him out, but rather help him cope with it. Is there some trauma there? I know with my Dad's ex-gf there was... something like she was once on a plane that either did crash or almost crashed.

I don't know if it's hormonal, or what? My wedding is almost a month away - I should be happy, right? I am on my period. Maybe that's it... But also, I am sad because my MOH sent out the invites to my Bridal Shower too late and lots of people say they already have plans I should've known, she is notorious for being late. I tried to stay on her without nagging... didn't work... And today my BM is just now getting the Evite out for my bach party, but she only sent it to me and my MOH!? Uhhhmmm, kayyyyyy... hope you are planning on adding the rest of the people (who I emailed you their addresses weeks ago, grrr). I emailed her and txted her about this. I hate being like a nag or seem ungrateful, but it makes me sad to think a lot of people will miss both my shower and bach parties because the invites were sent out too late (my shower is this Sunday and the bach party the following Saturday). *Even my FBIL (BM) got his shit together and started working on Martin's bach. party like 2 weeks ago!* How can the boys be so ahead of us girls?? Ok, I guess that's why I am bummed... I tried to rely on my friends and i feel like they didn't feel it was very important to get these things out in enough time for people to plan appropriately. Some of these people who can't go I am really gonna miss because they're also not able to attend the wedding... I'll get over it... I know it's not that big of a deal, but when you go out of your way to be SUCH an accommodating bride and then you feel like people take you for granted it just hurts your feelings - KWIM? My WC even had to tell me a month or so ago, "Jaime - has anyone told you yet that you're the BRIDE?!?!". Sadly, not really... My Engagement started off so early (2 years prior) that no one wanted to talk about it then. Then time flew by and BOOM it was the 3 month countdown (and I had a HUGE meltdown that day because I really felt like no one around me cared much and I also felt so lost as to what to do - some of you may remember said meltdown LOL). I understand everyone has their own lives but like I said I've gone out of my way to do things for them, help them, keep the schedule moving... and just haven't felt like I've gotten much back in return, and these are my "closest friends" (I'm even having to provide the own wine for my shower). K, I probably sound like a big crybaby! Maybe AF will leave soon and I'll start feeling better... Until then, grabbing a glass of wine and feeling sorry for myself -

I'm also a little worried about this. I saw a video of a wedding at Las Caletas and I could not hear what they were saying on it. This is why we are not paying for a videographer - we're just going to have my uncle sit in the front row, aisle seat and record it with his HD video camera. Not expecting much though. Guess that's just one of the few drawbacks to having a beach wedding!

i went in for my first fitting about 2 weeks ago. need to call the lady back and see when i should come back!! I'm getting married May 24th but leaving on the 19th... so I did it about 6 weeks ahead of the day I need it.

I think that may be what they carry on the boat... but i've heard it can still make you sleepy..? since it's my wedding day and i'll be super nervous and probably take an anxiety pill i don't really want to be mixing stuff, ya know?

btw - found a better deal on Drugstore.com - $13/pair (save $3). Will keep searching for better deals. If I could get them around $10 I might get some extra pairs for other people (like my grandparents - am worried about them getting seasick!)

Oh, I'm really sorry - that just sucks Is it because of money?? If so, do you think you could help them out?? We had set aside a couple thousand in the beginning in case anyone SUPER close just could not make it for financial reasons, because we knew that might happen. OK, sooo... the earrings suck. Well, really only one does. Extremely poor craftsmanship. Totally disappointed - would not have paid even the discounted price! The pearl on the right one - the hole which it's threaded through is facing the outside (i.e. everyone can see what a crappy piece of jewelry this is!). The bracelet is pretty, though the pearls turned out more silver-ish than I thought (thought they'd be white!). Not sure if it's even worth it to send them back - they take $7 off for S&H ~ the earrings only cost me like $20 with all the discounts... but for that normal price of $50+ they should look better than this! Totally disappointed with WHBM...well, the jewelry at least

Oh gosh, honey - I'm so sorry! That is a lot to deal with. I've also had a lot of extra non-wedding related stress in my life and it just seems to make the wedding related stuff even worse! What always helps me is to vent away on here (sometimes I even seem to end up talking to myself, but it helps all the same ). At 3 months I had a huge breakdown, and have been having some mini ones recently. Lists help a lot. I know it seems obvious, but they do. have you thought about counseling to deal with this grief and loss you are experiencing? My Mom passed away when I was 17 so it's been a long time, but now that the wedding is coming up some of those feelings are also resurfacing. We go to counseling together about every other week and it just helps to TALK it out! (who woulda thought paying someone to just sit there and listen would be SO beneficial?! lol). Big hugs to you... this can't be easy, and not gonna pretend like I know exactly what you're going through. But hang in there and make sure to reach out for support when you need it (even if it's just online through this forum).
