Not sure it'd fly with my guests either though...

If you don't know it you should check it out. Just a thought. I am so far behind, I am just looking through all these threads now trying to get something together. Wish me luck. lol haha, that's SUCH a good song!!! Definately on my playlist!
  3. Our stories are fairly similar! I met Aaron online as well, and dated him for nearly 5 years before he proposed. Our engagement will be nearly 2 years. Trust me, it goes by faster than you think!
  4. Those pictures are gorgeous, and Gwyne, you're beautiful! I can only HOPE I look that good after ONE child, let alone F.I.V.E.!!! You've got beautiful eyes too Thanks for posting those, you two are such a nice couple; I'm sure anyone would be thrilled to work with you!!

  6. I am making my own BD book, I have tons of time to make one, so I decided to put my care and enegry into it. Plus, I think there is a certain feeling of satisfaction knowing what you've accomplished. It's an incredibly personal gift and I'd like to add more of my personal touch! There is a thread somewhere on here with a link to a photography site with some really great recommendations, I'll see if I can find it. I do happen to disagree about the male photographer. Of course, you should be completely comfortable. My photographer was Leigh Miller (California | New York | Worldwide) and she did a FANTASTIC job, but her "associate photographer" (or whatever they're called) was a male (Riccis: Riccis Valladares Photography). It took some thinking, but I eventually decided it wasn't that big of a deal. I think a male photographer may be able to bring another perspective, which could be beneficial. Also, Shea had her BD pictures done by Jonathan Thrasher, which are amazing!! Here's the thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...s-bd-pics.html
  7. I really don't think silk or satin would survive the TTD in salt water. I think the dress would have watermarks stained into it. When I went shopping for my dress, the girl in the salon urged me away from the satin dress I liked if I wanted to use it for TTD. I think most other materials would be ok though
  8. I don't think so, just make sure you confirm everything ahead of time and if they want to change it, you can argue it.

  10. Wow, great find!! The canvas totes are an excellent price. Thanks for posting.
  11. Aww, I love all of the BDW get togethers; they look like so much fun!! I'm jealous!
  12. It's easy to get wrapped up in the stress of planning a wedding. I've second guessed my location.. heck, I STILL second guess my choice, but in the end you just need to look at why you selected Moon Palace to begin with. Every place has it's pro's and con's. I still come across places on this forum that look so amazing I think, "hmm... Jamaica looks like a nice place!" lol, but then I snap back into reality and fall in love with my location all over again. And you've got it right, the important thing here is that you're marrying the love of your life; that's it.
  13. Happy birthday!! Saturday birthdays are the best!!!
  14. Holy crap, seriously?!! I can't believe it's here already. Good luck my MOD-sister! I hope everything goes perfectly... and you KNOW we want to see those pictures ASAP!
  15. Congrats guys!!! I hope everything turns out just as you've dreamt it would.
  16. Happy Birthday Rachel!! I hope it's a good one!

Wow a year, I need to move to Cananda rofl Christine, I know I'm always surprised when I'm reminded how little time new mom's get in the U.S.!
  18. The ones I used didn't stink, but I've heard that leaving them out in the sun for a while does the trick. Here's the thread Kelly was talking about: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...vitations.html
  19. Sarah that's so cool!! You're going to have so much fun!! I've always wanted to go too
  20. Why not?!! It sounds like a blast; and I think the fact that it is out of the ordinary is what'll make it special!
  21. Welcome to the forum!! I absolutely love EDR, it's a beautiful location.
