  1. What about vaccinations? I have never thought twice about them until recently talking to my friend who is also pregnant.

One more thing to think about.... I don't know about the others, but I definately can't reach down there to shave like I could before. I would be afraid of the hack job I would do over going in unshaved! Trace offered to help me out, but I am unsure about that. I guess what is the difference between that and having him see me with my feet in stirrups delivering the baby!
  3. I have another question.... I posted this in another thread, but I guess it makes more sense here. Are you ladies planning on getting waxed before you go into labor? I hear since we are ultra sensitive down there during this time that it hurts really bad. I don't know if it matters to the hospital or not- I think they used to shave the area, but read that they don't always now. I know in the event I won't really care what it looks like, but I have been thinking about it.

I would say from what I have heard most do not get paid maternity leave. I work on commission not salary so no maternity leave for me. I'm actually only taking a week off when the baby is born and then I will be continuing to work from home which should be really interesting. Danielle, I am so so sorry. I have been through it as well and everybody handles things differently but if you ever want to talk I'm here for you. Shea, how are things going with you? I went to the docs today. I am 50% effaced but not dilated at all yet. Sounds like we are doing about the same as far as progressing (or not progressing). My doc also said my cervix was very posterior and I think it has to move forward or something before birth. Maybe our babies will really be born on the same day! I am about the same.... and I am still not sleeping at night and it is driving me crazy! I have an appt. tomorrow and am hoping to get some good news then! Friday is my last day at work, so I am really looking forward to that!
  5. I have a question.... Are any of you ladies receiving paid maternity leave? I am taking off 12 weeks, but they are all unpaid. I have mentioned that we do not receive any paid time off for maternity to a few friends, and they thought that was crazy. But, our office manager said that a lot of places don't offer paid time off. I can use my vacation time, and sick if I choose. I did read online that about 39% only receive it paid.
  6. I am so sorry to hear that Danielle... a few of us have gone thru that (I for one) so if you have any questions... feel free to ask. Take care.
  7. Has anyone who is pregnant been waxed? I want to do it, but am scared because that area is extra sensitive during pregnancy. Any suggestions?
  8. I feel good... not sleeping the best though. I am just really anxious! I think I just need to relax, and enjoy these next few weeks by myself, as I know everything is about to change. It is so hard though! Luke is so cute!
  9. Has anyone heard from Sarah? I think she was about 2 weeks ahead of me, so if it hasn't happened already, it has to be any day now. I had an appt. this morning.... I am not dialated yet, but my cervix is softening. She also mentioned that the baby's head is really low... I don't know if that means she "dropped"? She also said my cervix is really high.... for some reason I thought that dropped too nearing the due date. Oh well... .I guess I can expect another 2-3 weeks before she decides to make her debut!
  10. I felt that way at first, but things changed during the second trimester- where I was really in the mood. Now, I am back to not really wanting it- it is really uncomfortable for me now!
  11. Cute picture Julie! Just checking in again.... Mo, we only have 32 days to go! So far things are good; I just had an appt. and there is no action with the cervix yet. I was expecting that I guess. I am up 40 pounds! My doctor wasn't too excited about that! Mo, although you had to suffer, it must be nice to not have gained hardly any weight! I hope that I don't have any problems loosing it! How much did you ladies gain with your pregnancies? How long did it take to lose it, and did you lose all, some or none of it?

Shea, our countdown can begin...2 months from tomorrow is our due date! How are you feeling? I'm starting to get uncomfortable and not sleeping well. I also started getting sick to my stomch this week after weeks of being fine so that is really annoying. Did you decide on a name yet? I really liked all your choices. I know, I am so excited! I have been uncomfortable for awhile- My lower back, hip and left knee are killing me! I have gained quite a bit of weight though so I am sure it isn't supposed to be this bad. I started out tall and thin.... and at 31 weeks I have gained about 36 pounds! No stretch marks yet though! I have been waking up a lot in the middle of the night, but it doesn't really bother me too much. I still manage to get 8 hours of sleep a night. I am starting to get a little bored though... I used to be so busy, and now I just work, sleep and eat pretty much. I will probably regret saying that after I have the baby and have no free time again! We still have not decided on a name.... I think Jada Marie is at the top of our list though.
  13. You guys are all so lucky.... I don't know why, but I started showing right away. It was quite noticable by 12 weeks. It is so weird how our bodies react so differently!
  14. I am feeling ok for the most part. My back is killing me, but other than that no complaints really! I did just get my glucose results back and I do not have gestational diabetes! I did fail the first test, so it was a bit of a relief. I am really getting to the point where I am ready to have the baby! Not that pregnancy is bad, I am just so anxious!
  15. That is such a cute picture of Hannah! She looks like a little sweetheart. Congrats Kelly and Angel! I was just thinking that our group was slowing thinning away as the girls are having their little ones!

He hasnt ate in over 24 hours now I had the same thing happen to my dog, and after seeing a few different vets, he was finally diagonosed with IBD (irritable bowel disease) It is alomost like he developed an allergy to his food... He is now fine since we put him on a corn, wheat, soy and animal bi-porduct free diet! The first few vets tried to tell me he was fine, or it was gas.... but we knew it was more because he stopped eating, and he had blood in his stool too. You might want to check out IBD...

I did wear underwear (I think) but it was just the photographer and us since it was 7:00 in the morning. If she saw anything it wouldn't have been the end of the world- she is a friend of mine. We loved all of our pictures, so the dress being see thru wasn't noticable in them.

It wasn't a big deal to my anyhow, since I went into it thinking it may be ruined- and what is the difference if it is just going to be stored the rest of my life! And, the stains on the bottom of the dress didn't come out after being dry cleaned anyhow.( I had a long dress and it dragged on the floor) I plan on cutting it up and using the material for a baptismal dress.

I've been stalking 20 week belly bump pics online and now I think I do look too small. I've gained about 10 lbs., but I really don't know where it all went. My waist is thicker and I have a small bump, but that's about it. When did you girls all "pop" I'm starting to get worried, especially because I only feel the baby every so often at night when I lay down; I'm really hoping that nothing is wrong with the baby. That's better than being told that you are huge! I have been getting that alot recently. I have gained around 20 pounds! I really started to show right away. It is mostly in my waist and chest.
  20. I know the code I use is 116170 and it doesn't expire until December 31st.
  21. This is the list we have, but I am not sold on any yet- it seems that I always know someone with the names I like! Cadence Marie Selly Emma Marie Selly Jada Marie Selly Payton Marie Selly Tiegen Marie Selly Marie is my middle name (along with half the populations ) and also my grandmas name, so I want her to have that too.

I was going to ask... did you guys ever have a Mn ladies get together, or did it never pan out?
