lol that's a line that is very well used in our house. I HAVE to have everything. I find that if I just talk about something I need a few times, eventually he comes around. Maybe it's that he's realized it's the only way to shut me up!

Julie what a great finder you are! I love the one with the 3 starfish in the pic too. I'm pretty damn picky about how starfish look for some reason, but those are cute and would be perfect for my purse. Hmm, wonder if I can sneak another starfish through the mail without Ian noticing...

What a great idea. It was out of my price range at this point too, but this is an easy DIY. Should be easy to find a cute starfish pin and little white handbags are sure easy enough to find. Yeah! I just might get my starfish handbag after all! Oh what would I do without you guys?

I love the shell idea. Too bad we don't have a ring bearer or a flower girl. Hmmm, maybe the best man and/or the maid of honour could have this role? We're not planning on bringing our real rings with us though. We're just going to get some cheap knock offs at Claire's or something - so would it be weird to do a presentation of fake rings?

Your guys' tags all look great! I can't wait until I'm done my bar exams next week then I can really kick all my DIY projects into high gear. Where did everyone find those clear luggage tags?

Oh those are a great find! See, us Canadians aren't screwed, we just have to work harder to get a good deal! And Trista, no problem. That's what we're here for. I'm really hoping to get the Star of the Sea one in time, but I also really like the one I already got so I'll be fine if it doesn't arrive in time. Though I do think I'm going to send that lady ANOTHER e-mail asking if she can at least confirm she's shipped it

As for the shipping - she initially quoted me $7.50 for shipping to Canada. But when I went to order it online the only option was the $8.50 so I asked her about it. She said "oh yeah we just got a new computer system and yeah I forgot it's $8.50 for shipping." Whatever, I didn't want to push it b/c I really want this starfish and it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than anywhere else in the States. Funny, I guess shipping rates went up yet again!

She was definitely airy when i talked to her. She told me they had to order me a clear one too but that they'd get it by the next Monday. I have my back up one now so I'm not too terribly concerned and I do still have 3 weeks before we leave (it's already been a week and a half) so hopefully she'll ship it ASAP. When she ordered mine she should've ordered more than one and then she'd have had one for you even quicker!

By the way how much was shipping? I only got charged $8.50 from the Simply Flowers store. Hopefully there won't be customs

Yeah that's the same store that I got mine from. I ordered it on July 10th. I'll keep you posted as to when it arrives.

Trista - was it the simply flowers you ordered from? If so, that's where I ordered my second one from that I haven't received. And don't stress, I'll be back a couple weeks before you leave so you can always use one of mine - as a bonus they're both clear

Trista - they weren't too on the ball with e-mail when I e-mailed them either so I finally picked up the phone and the lady said "oh yeah, did I not e-mail you back?" She was really nice, but it made me concerned and so that's why I bought one from that lady in Calgary. The simply flowers store has the new "star of the sea" ones - those are the ones I love and I just really hope I get mine in time. You never know with US vendors. Anyways, here's the lady's website in Calgary that sent me my starfish in 2 days for super cheap Dream-Maker Wedding Consultants She's a wedding co-ordinator but also sells bouquet jewels. I also bought a starfish from the site Shelley posted. (yes, I realize I look neurotic now but they have the new starfish that I really want but I wasn't sure it would get here in time so I also ordered one from that Canadian seller I mentioned above). Anyways, shipping to Canada for the link Shelley posted is $8.50 which is a great deal IMO. I wanted a clear one which they didn't have in stock. She told me they would get it in in a week though. This was only a week and a half ago so I don't have it yet. I can let you know when I do though so you can figure out how long it takes. Also, they may have had other colors in stock. I am obsessed with Bouquet Jewels

One more thing - when i talked to her about a week ago she had 3 green starfish, 1 clear (that I bought) and 1 natural color starfish left. I'm not sure what color you're going for. And by the way, that's really crappy to wait 2 weeks to tell you she's out of stock! I get so mad at poor customer service.

Trista, I ended up ordering my starfish bouquet jewel from a different seller altogether on eBay. She's in Calgary. She actually didn't even have it listed, she had just the plain ones listed but I emailed her to ask about the starfish and bouquet jewels and she had it all in stock. she also had the flip flop jewels available even though they weren't listed online either. anyways, the starfish was $10 I believe and for shipping for all that was $8.50. I received the items 2 days later. If you're interested I can send you her contact info.

Hi Kelly, I'm in Canada too and I ordered mine on eBay from a seller in Calgary (her user name is seaweed1971). She only had other jewels posted but when I contacted her she seemed to have any other bouquet jewel that i wanted in stock - including the starfish. She sold them to me for a great price and I received them 2 days later.
