juans probably just finding a way to deal with the same issue im having, how to slow down the bookings. i have 27 weddings for next year already. i really only want 30. that means of all the inquiries i get for the upcoming year im only going to take roughly 3. last year i had 400+ inquiries. i referred out about 1/2 cause i was already booked. this year i will be referring out even more since my year is almost full. this isnt meant to sound like - oh im so wonderful. its just to illustrate once we get busy our only recourse to try and slow things down is to raise our prices. supply and demand i guess youd say. of course there are always up and coming photographers out there who are where i was a few years ago who do good work (and will be mostly likely raising their prices in a few years). i know it must be frustrating at times when looking for a photographer because you all seem to understand the value of photography. it hasnt been that long since i got married and was going through the same thing!

i understand your disappointment and frustration but dont let this one experience turn you off of a mexico wedding. im in and out of mexico about 6-7xs a year and have never had anything stolen or lost. (of course now that ive said that i will be back here in january after katies wedding probably telling you about what was stolen out of my suitcase - haha!)

elizabeth is awesome! i think im going to mexico next year to shoot a wedding with her and hangout for a few days in mexico city. isnt she great to let me tag along!!! so on your wedding day you own that dress girl! i cant wait to see the pics ps - and thanks so much for thinking of me and passing my name along. i really appreciate it.

that dress is amazing! i love it. please dont get another one. it will photograph so beautifully. the textures - just awesome. i say keep it

Pirates Cave seems to be a popular one since it is right next to the Rockhouse. Some girls i have talked to says Kayuba is really good but it is expensive. Three Dives- i think you can bring your own coolers of beer to this place. Very laid back atmosphere. Im pretty sure it is 3 dives that does this. Two more..... Irie on the beach Normas Oh!! if she wants i can get her some brochures when we are there and mail them to her. Tell her to check this out if she has not yet Rockhouse Hotel (Negril, Jamaica) - Hotel Reviews - TripAdvisor tell her to set up an account of the "negril forum" on the left side of the page and she can talk to lots of people.

im shooting a wedding at the rockhouse next year. i will ask my bride if she has any ideas and get back to you. it may not be until after the holidays though.

yes its her first one! i guess shes just excited. i think i will go text her and ask whats up - hahaha! shes so funny. when she sent the text she said she just felt like she was having period cramps and needed to poop but nothing would come out. seems like something that should be in that book - the things about pregnancy that no one tells you!

hey ann and christine - youll get a kick out of this. one of my best friends texted (is that a word?) me this morning when she was in labor. we were texting for about 1/2 and hour. now you be sure and text me when the labor starts!

oh yeah of course! the work never ends. lots of post processing. albums. marketing etc.... working on a new site, blah, blah, blah.... ryan and i are going to memphis to spend christmas with my grandparents. my uncle, their only son, died in january so its gonna be a hard one. plus they are just getting older and my grandpa has alzheimers. so i need to spend this christmas with them. then back here so ryan can do all the fun end of year accounting stuff at work - woohoo!!! and probably a few days of not working at all! what are you and paul doing? are you snowed in there?

hey gals! sorry i havent been on much lately. 4 more weddings this year!!! i hope all your wedding planning is going well. just thought id share a recent day after at the salton sea here in cali. i love that place. cant wait to go back and shoot there again. heres a link to the pics. so get out there and do those day afters. they are a blast!!! one day when i get back in shape again im going to do one too

i have no idea. if you google villa maria pedregal you can find the place that rents it. its probably at the beginning of this post. plenty of gals on here know about the villa i think. good luck!

sorry. ann alerted me to this thread. i upgraded my ss program and it appears i need to redo all the old ones. for the time being you can see it. not really like its supposed to be but good enough for you to see the pics and the venue - villa maria in cabo. type in sanny_oli - theres something up with the color of the text so when you type it in you wont be able to see it but it will work. when i have some down time - haha! - i will update all my old ss thanks! leigh
