I found out in June 2006 that I have Lyme Disease so it has been an interesting year to say the least. I was just looking at Victoria's Secret online and they have some cute things right now. I really like this: Victoria's Secret - Flyaway satin babydoll and a pic like that would be cute for this session (nothing too over the edge and just an idea). i actually have that you may remember the gal wearing it in the slideshow i sent you gals. she wore a lot of my stuff. yes a glass of wine is a good idea. as long as you arent one of those people that turn red when you drink wine. cant wait. did i say that already?

stolen/damaged wedding dress???
leigh miller replied to aimee's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
i know tons of wedding photographers in places all over the world and never, not once, has one talked about the bride getting her dress stolen at a DW hotel/resort. the places where ive shot DWs in the bahamas and mexico probably do all the can to maintain their reputation as safe resorts. they wouldnt want something like that to happen. i wouldnt worry about it, seriously anyway. file this under things that dont happen and even if it did i couldnt do much about it. or you could hire a dress sitter to sit with the dress until you put it on for the wedding - haha! -

I hope I find one just like that!! i mean to tell you to check out nicole miller - Nicole Miller this is almost exactly what i was looking for when i got married. ugh. kills me. i really wanted this silk monique lhullier halter sheath but couldnt afford it and was too scared to have my seamstress try to copy it. so i went with a strapless lace sheath with a teal sash. nice but not my dream dress life goes on!

So Juan is meeting me at my room to take a few shots for about 10 minutes then heading to meet Cain for some before the ceremony shots around the resort (for an hour) then off the to ceremony and after cermony shots. I think 3 hours is going to be enough time... well at least I hope it will be. tammy heres what i think - YMMV. the getting ready shots are some of the best of the day. theyre so full of excitement and emotion. take a look at this album and see what i mean - Album Preview do you have room in your budget to add more time? just a thought.

do you think DW brides are just more laid back in general?
-
anny - whos your photographer? i would ask them. one thing i would suggest if i were shooting it is instead of doing one longer couples shoot, do about 15-20 minutes of shooting before the ceremony and then about 15-20 minutes after - that way you get pics with both lighting conditions. how long is your ceremony? that time of year the sun will be setting around 8:30? - so the hour or so before would be great. personally i like shooting in bright light too. if you take a look at this album you can see both kinds of lighting - Album Preview - go about 7 pages in and see their first meeting - bright sunlight vivid colors. all through the ceremony too. look at the pic of them leaving the ceremony. now go past those a few pages and you will see the light in the hour before sunset. softer more even light. both are fine with me and doable. hth!

floating candles for the pool
leigh miller replied to anaderoux's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
we did this for the rehearsal dinner. they all floated into the filter and burnt up the plastic that covered it! they are hard to control. and the pool by the reception was too big so we put the candles around the pool. big lots has really cheap candles in glass votives.
