So, yes its somewhat of a pride thing, but more that he wants to be the one that gets the job done for his family. I think this makes perfect sense. You know as much as I say I would love a cleaning lady, I think in reality I would feel like a failure. I guess its a pride thing and maybe this sounds stupid but I like feeling like I can take care of my FI in traditional female roles. So I thought it was irrational but now Jason and Jamy made me see the light and I agree with them. LOL.

new hair flower?
Nrvsbride replied to boscobel's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Carly I think that is way too big. There was a bride on BDW that used this company: htttp://store.latebloomerboutique.com The flower clips are silk and they are so realistic looking. I can't remember if Ann ended up purchasing from them but this bride Karla did. The quality is amazing. They can custom make it for you. So you can do three little orange flowers or one big one. You should def check them out and see what they can do for you. -
Wedding Gowns - You VS Model

I can help but I'm not sure I understand what you need. You have the translation so you just want to know where the enunciation goes for each of the words. Or do you want like a phonetic prononciation for each work?

So really you didn't gain 4 pounds you lost 3 pounds from your total 2 weeks ago! YAY!

Figuring out your personal vows.....

Nikki that is such a cute idea! I love the idea of putting it on pretty paper with a ribbon. It gives it a special touch! -

I agree with Ann, I think the girls who have been working out a lot will start to see weight loss soon b/c muscle burns more calories.

Carly them seem big. Are they that big or does it just look larger b/c of the photo? -
WTH? Ever hear of Desire Resort?
Nrvsbride replied to mpark46's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
OMG I also saw this and thought it was such a beautiful place! I wanted to book it and go there and then I realized it was one of those places. Gross. No offense to anyone who is in to this kind of stuff but not exactly the romantic getaway I was looking for. -
Mistaken Identity- has anyone heard about this?
Nrvsbride replied to Jacqueline's topic in Random Thoughts
Yes I had read about this years ago when it happened. It was so sad. They are coming out with the book now I believe. How awful really for both families. -
I really don't have any good advice, but I understand your concerns and I think Kelly put it perfectly...you should discuss them with Cain. He wants to make you happy and I'm sure your well being is what is most important to him.

Happy 1st Anniversary MelissaH and John!
Nrvsbride replied to PaulaV's topic in CONGRATS & Shout outs!!
Happy Anniversary! Wow I can't believe its been a year. It feels like just yesterday you were asking us about your table linens. -
I've never met anyone from BDW. I have spoken to a couple girls by phone and let me tell you I was nervous. I'm not nervous about meeting new people or that they will suck. LOL. I'm more nervous that people won't "get me". I tend to be very sarcastic and I forget that some people don't get that and might actually think I am being serious. When Alyssa and I first spoke on the phone we hit it off and we even had a discussion about how sometimes you forget that people on the forum are from other parts of the country/world. The good thing about meet-ups is that most of the girls/guys are from the same area so there are "cultural" similarities. Like Jason and I could discuss our hatred for the Red Socks and instantly click. But I would be nervous to meet a southern girl b/c I feel like my loud NY personality would offend her. LOL.

Men are so irrational some times when it comes to this kind of stuff. James was like this too when we first moved in to the apartment. He wanted to do everything himself but never had time and I couldn't deal with crap all over my apartment. His cousin was unemployed and needed work so I told him to come on over and I paid him. Ego or not I needed peace in my house and I wasn't going to get it with crap all over the place. I'm really sorry Kelly that your so frustrated. I know how important it is for you to spend time with Everton and the kids since he works so much. Gosh you'd think he would want free time so that he could spend it with his family instead of being stuck painting. Men!

Wedding Disaster: location closing down....
Nrvsbride replied to Alyssa's topic in Molokai / Lanai Weddings
Kudos to you Alyssa for staying calm and for being so considerate of all those poor people who will be affected. The good news is that your getting your money back. Now if you can get a good deal on a new place everything will be okay. You have the photogs in place so that's not a problem. I will absolutely 100% help you make phone calls, stalk people, whatever you need. I am not the craftiest person in the world but I can help you re-do your logos for the OOT bags. The thing that really sucks is your invites but people understand. Things happen and the good news is that you still have close to 5 months to re-do whatever needs to be redone. I know that together with everyone's help we will have this whole thing sorted out for you in no time! Don't worry you will have an amazing wedding, BDW wouldn't let you have it any other way! -
Hi girls and congratulations to all those who lost. For those that didn't, like I say every Wednesday...today is a new day. Gotta leave the past behind and keep moving forward. I lost 5.6 pounds this week. I swear I have never felt so happy in my life. I guess my frosting incident didn't mess me up too bad. Here are some of the things I have changed which have helped me to lose some weight. B/c I can't bring my own lunch (I'm a lawyer and I spend all morning in court and my food would go bad if I brought it with me) I have to rely on outside food. Not the healthiest choice but I have no other. So I usually eat salad from the Pizzeria. Well they put a balsalmic vinagrette dressing on their salads. I used to order it on the side b/c they literally drench the salad in the dressing. Well one day I decided to ask how many calories were in their dressing. It turns out there is 120 calories per 2 tablespoons! OMG I almost passed out! No wonder I wasn't really losing much. So I went to the supermarket and bought my own fat free dressing that is 15 calories per 2 tablespoons and now I order the salad plain and put my own dressing. It helped me lose a lot of weight this week. Also instead of regular sushi rolls I eat brown rice ones now. I don't eat any white rice or white bread. Only brown rice and whole wheat bread. And I learned to portion my meals better. Protein the size of the palm of your hand and 1/2 a cup of cooked rice per meal. I try to eat starches only once a day. I exercise 5 times a week. 1 hour of cardio, no weights.

Yesterday though, I woke up to the FLU!!! I can't even remember the last time I was that sick. All I've had for the past 2 days is chicken soup and gatorade. NOT FUN! Aww I hope you feel better. The only bright side I can find for you is that you may lose 7 pounds like Saraha did! And you maybe the big winner for this week. Sorry that probably isn't making you feel better but I'm trying. I don't even want to look at the scale tomorrow. I really don't feel like I did bad aside from that frosting incident (trust me I threw it out), but I also didn't get to the gym last night. I am 100% going if it kills me tonight, although I am beyond exhausted. I need to burn off this frosting! I don't know why but lately I feel bloated. If we are losing weight shouldn't we feel thinner? I for some reason feel fatter!

This is my dream. I literally get anxiety every friday (when I should feel relaxed) b/c I know my weekened will be dedicated to cleaning. Lucky you, I am jealous!

Don't even get me started. My FI is a middle school teacher and some of the things these girls wear makes my eyes bulge. Especially when its hot out. We're talking skirts up to their butts, thongs sticking every which way, colored bras as tops...I mean wtf? My parents would have murdered me. I hate myspace (sorry to you myspace lovers). I think it is the root of all evil. I've seen perfectly nice girls turn into whores b/c of it. I know its not the sites fault but still it keeps perpetuating a lifestyle. And if you are 15, 16 and boys only like the girls who have slutty pics up, its a lot of pressure on a teenager. When you are a teenager you have a myopic view of the world and all you can understand is your own world. They don't understand that when they grow up boys abuse and laugh at the girls who posted pics on myspace and marry the ones who had the sense to leave something to the imagination. Unfortunately at the time period in their lives in which they are living, peer pressure is so strong that you being an outside is just to awful to fathom.

Good luck Leia! I don't mean to discourage you but I tried Nutrisystem and I don't like the food. It taste crappy to me. Sorry I know that's not supportive. LOl. But I know you will do great on it! Its all about portion control. You know what I did that is helping me lose weight now? Once I was done eating some of the food I would wash the trays and keep them. Then when I ate "real" food I would place it in the trays so that I could train myself to see how much is a proper portion. It really helps. I also did Jenny Craig and I liked the Jenny Craig food so much better. But maybe you'll like the food. Good luck I'll be cheering you on!
