Everything looks awesome! I so want some of that sangria! Glad you had a good time.

I'm dying. Although I will admit its getting a little to predictable for me. I like not knowing what the heck is going on. Like I feel like most viewers knew it was going to be Michael on the boat and that Charles Widmore was the one who owned the boat and was trying to find the island. But the writers usually don't fail and they'll probably give us lots of plots and twists.

Like I said, I've never made it, but I've heard good things about it. I like Glenda's cupcake idea as well. How cute are they! Ooh I didn't know you could do this. You could also try using those zero calorie cokes and sprite. I have never tasted the coke one but I swear the sprite one taste just like the real thing and it has zero calories!

Congrats Nicole! That is so awesome and we are so proud of you! ~Sarah your FI is so amazing! Isn't he the best FI ever? See how supportive he is? ~Jill there is a way to make cake less fattening. Instead of oil you use fat free apple sauce. And only use egg whites instead of the whole egg and mix it with the cake mix. If you do it from scratch and need to use sugar, only use brown sugar. You know what I would do? Ask Steve to get you a cupcake instead. This way there is only one thing you can eat and the entire cake won't be staring at you in the face, tempting you to eat the whole thing!

I am so terribly sorry to hear about your mother. I agree with Kelly I think you shouldn't stay mad at FI b/c your going to need him to be there for you. Hopefully FI didn't see the pics. And even if he did I'm sure he is drooling just thinking about them. I really hope everything works out for your mother. Is this her first time being arrested? If it is she may just get community service or have to attend Narcotics Anonymous meetings and may not have to go into rehab. I'm sending you good vibes so that everything with your mom gets worked out.

I'm super late to this, but I'm so happy he is okay. I knew he was just passed out like all men are. LOl. Okay that's not fair to categorize all men like that but most of them are known to pass out from being wasted and forgetting to call. I am scared for when he gets home! Whatever you do, don't take your anger out on food and scarf down bad food!

Yay Kash! See no one should quit (unless they become ill or pregnant)! We need to stick together. There will be ups and a lot of downs but its a lifelong commitment not a short term goal. We can do this together! Ok that being said I totally ate like a fat boy this week. I actually ate two pepperoni slices yesterday and had a coke. Hello...not healthy! I also had ice cream on sunday and saturday. Not a smart move. And I think I ate about 50 bowls of turkey chilli this weekend. Somehow I didn't gain but I only lost .3 pounds. So that's what I get for stuffing my face. But today is a new week and we just have to stay focused! We are at the halfway mark. I'm actually looking forward to season 2 b/c I know a lot of other members want to join and let's face it I need way more time to drop the amount I want to drop.

I don't think anyone on here should worry about being sarcastic. A lot of us are super sarcastic (myself included) and I think anyone with common sense can tell when someone is clearly joking. No one should feel scared to post their ideas or opinions, the purpose of this message was not to censore people. We want to hear opinions. I'm sure you all know that I'm referring to situations where someone is being blatantly rude. No one panic and start editing their posts, this didn't happen, I just wanted to remind everyone of how great we are as a forum. We want to be able to be honest with each other, everything out of our mouths doesn't have to be soft and fuzzy but we do still have to be considerate of other people's feelings. And regarding the hot pink sash...LOL. It looks great. I should have been more clear in my post. I didn't mean that telling someone that their sash doesn't look good is constructive criticism. I meant moreso if you had asked "Does my highlighter yellow dress match with the hot pink sash?" and people gave you their honest opinions and told you that they liked it better w/o the hot pink sash. Your dress however looked fabulous with the hot pink sash!

You look AMAZING! You should feel so proud that you dropped that much weight. Heck I can barely drop 5 pounds! I think you look fabulous but if you are really upset about your arms then you can start working them out now. Just note that you should use a heavier weight with less reps so that it can tone faster. You will see amazing muscle tone in your arm if you stay consistent (which clearly you are a disciplined person if you lost 65 pounds!).

Jen have an amazing time! We will all be here waiting for your review and pics! And try to bring back some sunshine to good ol' NYC.

Let me start by saying that this message is not a personal attack against anyone, it is merely a public service announcement from your Mod. Ladies and gentlemen please remember that we are all here to share ideas and give advice. This forum is a wealth of information that can greatly benefit everyone. That being said, please follow proper forum etiquette. (and common sense) While I completely respect that we all come from different parts of the world and have different personalities, customs, traditions, etc., please think about what you are posting before responding. I don't want people to feel censored that is not my intention but I want to ensure that everyone has a pleasant forum experience. For example if someone asks for information on "Las Caletas weddings" please do not jump in and post on how stupid/ugly/cheap looking you think Las Caletas weddings are (I know none of you did this, I'm merely trying to illustrate an example). Of course you are entitled to your opinion but it is not nice and let's face it, it is just plain rude to crush this bride's dreams/taste by posting a comment like that. You wouldn't like someone to criticize your choice of location. So please if you don't have anything positive to add, keep your opinion to yourself. Please allow me to differentiate when you should jump in with negative feedback. If someone wants to have their wedding at "Happy Dappy Weddings Resort in Jamaica" and you know for a fact that the business is robbing people of money b/c you read it on the Better Business Bureau, then please by all means jump in and let the bride know. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is a difference between "constructive criticism" (e.g. "I think your dress would look better if you didn't wear the hot pink sash") vs. "rudeness" (e.g. "Really your getting married at "XYZ resort? I hate that place, they have cookie cutter weddings and are basically a wedding factory" Let's remember that we all have different tastes and financial limits. Use your criticism in a constructive matter that is in context with what the person asking for advice is seeking. Try to help the bride/groom by giving them advice that fits to their plans. I heart all the members of this forum and I know we are a great group of positive people who want to share in each other's happiness and help each other have the most memorable wedding experience ever. So in conclusion I guess what I'm trying to say is let's continue being the best forum out there!

Happy Birthday to Michelle(michelle08)!

Happy Birthday Michelle! I hope you have an amazing birthday and many more! -
Aww Kash I understand. I swear to you I gained like 5 pounds this week. My problem is that I'm usually pretty good during the week but then during the weekend since I'm not working I get bored and stuff my face! Uggh! Also I notice that if I slip one day, I tend to do bad the next day too. Its so bad. Like once I stuff my face one day, my stomach expands and it expects to eat the same amount the next day. I did horrible this week and I am going to accept my weight gain but I am going to go hardcore again next week.

I like balsalmic. I love catchy things, they def sell me and make me want to try it. B/c I am on a health kick I would want something that tastes good but has low calories. I think you should keep in mind that most people who are salad lovers ( I said most, not all) are healthy food eaters. So if your salad is really fatty it maybe harder to sell. I would try to stick to something like Europa that has 10 calories per 2 tbsp. I know people love that dressing here in NY. Kraft also has a yummy dressing that is like 15 calories per 2 tbsps. I am willing to pay anything as long as it tastes good! Good luck!

Uggh honestly to lose a significant amount of weight it involves so much discipline. The only reason why I lost so much weight last week is b/c I was a nazi. I exercised 6 days a week (1 hour of cardio per session) and was really strict about my calorie intake. And even when I watch my calories I try to eat only good calories and not bad ones. That is the only way to do it. The minute you have something yummy...BAM!
-
Uggh I was so awful this weekend. My FMIL is stressing me out big time and I ate like 9,000 bowls of turkey chili. Not the healthiest choice! And to top if off last night I had ice cream and like a million snacks. I def gained weight from last week. Well I surrender for this week but I'll just have to do better next week!

How is the recession affecting you? (Discussion Topic)
Nrvsbride replied to Alyssa's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
A lot of law offices are laying off people. Two people got fired from my firm and now only myself and another lawyer remain. The bad part is that we are doing the work of four people and our raises haven't gone up. I can't complain too much b/c James and I still have our jobs and we are able to afford what we need, but the cost of gas and food is absurd. I think someone paid $3 for a slice of pizza the other day, that is just insane! So many of my friends have lost their job to the big JP Morgan/Bear Stearn merger. NYC thrives on wall street, so when they are doing bad, the entire whole feels it. -
OMG this is so exciting! I am so happy for you! YAY, more BDW babies! I like the idea of getting him the gymboree outfit. If he really liked it then this will make him love it even more. Congrats again on your big fat positive!
-
Another tough one! I also voted for Yari b/c if it wasn't for her my fat arse would still be glued to the couch, so thanks again Yari! But I do think all the ladies that were nominated were awesome! Luv ya all!

Heidi have an amazing time! Please bring back some sunshine to the East coast, we desperately need it! Best of luck with everything and we'll be anxiously awaiting for your pics and to hear all the fabulous details! YAY HEIDI AND REGGIE!

Aloha Airlines shuts down...effective immediately!
Nrvsbride replied to Alyssa's topic in The Big Island Weddings
Poor Hawaii! I feel like their economy is doing bad with all these companies shutting down! Thanks goodness you didn't book with them Alyssa! -
I would say do leopard print, bright red, hot pink or a turqoise. Or if you really want to be funky you could do a bright yellow, purple, or green. I can't wait your pics sound like they are going to be awesome.

Yari I missed all the hoopla after my initial post. I like them, I see what you say about the spacingl...its off a little bit. That being said I don't think you should scrap them, I think you should just fix them up a little bit. And lucky for you, Sarah and Morgan have been very helpful and I think what they came up with is great! I hope you are at the printers right now getting the exact thing you want. Good luck and don't worry your invites will be amazing!
