    Hi

Welcome! No worries about being a non-bride ... we have all types on here! Grooms, mothers, friends, aunts, and then some vendors too - it's a great group to bounce ideas off of and share stories. I am getting married in PV as well, at Las Caletas, but am staying at Dreams and holding my welcome dinner there. Let us know how we can help at all!
  3. Ok, ladies - I had Aylee make a couple minor changes to my monograms. 1) I had her add an ampersand (&) between our names in the couple that didn't have one. 2) To try and remain consistant with color, I had her stick w/the blues and greens I used for my STD. The top 8 are the originals, and the bottom 4 are some that she updated. What do you think about the 2 changes? I think I do like the & between our names, but what about the color? I think the blues and greens in the very bottom one on the right match best. I may even have her try for a more aqua blue. Feedback? Edit (I suppose I should add this): { aylee designs } - Projects » Ann & Paul
  4. First of all - WELCOME! I LOVE the idea of a cruise wedding, and if I had thoguht of it earlier I might have done one - I can't wait to hear about your plans. I have been on a few cruises, so if I can help, let me know. Second, ... Quote: Originally Posted by dwbride Thank you for the warm welcome. It sounds like you've raised a fabulous daughter! Third, don't worry about the "babbling" - you will soon see that there is plenty of that going on here, that's partially what this site is for!
  5. I've seen this and liked the idea. This might be a dumb question, but do you just buy water bottled and take the lables off? Put yours over? Can you buy them w/o the labels?
  6. lol - right. i'd aim higher than that if i were you!

  8. I know, I know - it's a skill I don't like to show off too often. (now I am cracking myself up!) I am really just procrastinating at work, which, by the way, has NOTHING to do with art in any way! I am a "computer software consultant" ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz That's a generic title, but basically I help companies install, upgrade, customize, etc. the software package that I work with (PeopleSoft/Oracle). Sorry you asked? lol

Ditto - I really hope that the two of them are mature enough to just keep the peace for your wedding. Maybe just be sure that they are seated at opposite ends. Or just let them figure it out - they either can skip the event altogether, or just 1 of them go. If that's the case, then you could have brunch (or dinner, whatever wasn't hosted) with the other. Though personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to cater to this behavior. But I have divorced parents as well, and while they're not best buddies, they just will stay out of eachothers way.
  10. I like the 2nd option - gives people a little freedom to order what they want, but you still get your champagne toast!
  11. what if you just add some plants, maybe even some that drape over the sides? or a small tree-type thing (real or fake) on one of the sides. or how about some kind of curtain suspended from the ceiling, similar to what someone already suggested. awful drawing, but i am having fun! (wow, i really need to start working)
  12. lol - you got something against boxes? you should see all the places i've lived it - so bare! i never get around to adding the little decorating touches. i am aways waiting for a designer to stop by and help!
  13. We have a new winner ... Edyta!! And it was a big ol' jackpot ... 2,609 points, before "taxes"
  14. can you somehow pass this tradition along to my guests!
  15. i don't think i've mastered this one ... yet! lol
  16. just think of all the doggie pictures you could put on those shelves!
  17. what about some shelving around it? (see my artistic diagram!) - try not to laugh!

Apparently this sale ends this weekend (the 14th) - happy shopping! J.Crew > women's sale medium
