Mine doesn't take the best pictures! Though I think that's how I posted the pics of my ring - they're just not that great. As a side note (my turn to hijack, Tammy), that's how I told my friends and family (that weren't close by) that I was engaged, I just sent them pics of the ring over the phone! It was kind of funny to hear all of the reactions!

Too dang funny - I actually had the ring and band from my first marriage bonded together. I don't know if I will do that this time just because I want the option of just wearing the band - but then I wonder when I would even want to do that anyway ... I am the most indecisive person! Maybe I could just get 2 bands ... hmmmm ... (yea right!)

I love this - thanks for all of the opinions ladies (keep 'em coming!). The one thing I am not sure of about option #2 is if it keeps turning on my finger so that the diamonds aren't in the center will it drive me nuts? And I don't know if I will want to wear just my band ever, w/o the e-ring. If I do I wonder if the plain band would just be too, well, plain. I'm not a fancy girl, but I do like my sparkle! I hadn't thought about the sizing issues of an eternity band (#3) - so that helps.

when i try to take a pic of mine, it's always blury - to get a clear picture i have to be so far away from my ring it defeats the purpose!

Ok, the recent thread on rings reminded me to ask you ladies for your opinion. I only have my e-ring, not the band yet and we really haven't done any serious shopping around for the band yet - it's one of those things we're putting off until the last minute, I am sure. Anyway, I have a few different things I am considering, and am leaning towards one of them and my fiance wants something different. I go back and forth! I am also looking for any other ideas you may have! Please let me know if you have some ideas, but keep in mind I am pretty simple, and don't want something too flashy. So below there are links to pictures that give you an idea of some of the options I am considering. can you help me choose my band?! I wish I could place them together somehow (the e-ring and band), since it would help me decide, but I don't know of a site where you can do that. My Ring (not my actual ring, or where I even bought it, but close enough and it gives you a good enough idea): Platinum Asscher-Cut Three-Stone Ring (1 ct. tw.) I guess I had made comments that I like either princess or round, and he just knows that I would like the more simple, but classy style. I am a pretty casual girl (as I sit here in my Old Navy warm-up pants and a tshirt!), so something too fancy would just look silly on me. I thought he'd have a harder time picking it out though, since he can be rather indecisive and doesn't buy me things like clothes very often, since he said it's hard to know what I will like (clearly, I am high maintenance ... NOT!). Anyway - he said that when he saw this ring, he knew I'd love it ... and I do! It's a princess cut center stone, with 2 smaller princess cuts on the side - and a simple platinum band - not too thin. He went with this sister to pick it out, since she knew the jeweler, but he did it on his own!

uhhhhh, right. sorry - for those that haven't read the post about your pets, that could have been a tad misleading ... lol

Well, hanging out on the DW forum sure can't do much if you're trying to find a single lady! Nor can working all of those weddings, though you're right, bridesmaids aren't necessarily spoken for ... Anyway - I'm sure the right one will come along eventually ... in the meantime, let little Jack do his thing!

Maureen - I just responded to your PM about dw.com - like I said, I can't say I had a horrible experience with them, I just didn't think they offered what they promised. In the end, I found my own wedding site (actually, my sister did!) and dropped dw.com. I've heard of people that are happy with them - it just didn't work out for me. I am using Tammy (host) as my travel agent, and she's been more than helpful. Her company specializes in destination weddings and honeymoons, and she also recently got married at Dreams in Cabo - so she's been through this destination wedding planning herself! About your budget - I don't know, you might be able to do it for that amount - I know some of the resorts have a "free" wedding package if you get so many rooms I think. I am not getting married at a resort, so I am sure someone else can help with that part better ...
