  1. How many people were in your group? Ours will be around 70,
  2. We are still trying to figure out where we want to have the wedding and I need some help regarding multiple weddings in a day. Which resorts hold more than one wedding per day? Which don't? For those of you that had your wedding at a place that has multiples, does it make a difference? I have visions of a line of weddings set up down a beach. Or worse, all my super smart friends showing up at the wrong one. I just don't want to feel like a "number" on that day and I feel like knowing there was a wedding an hour before/after mine would make that happen. I want it to feel like Thanks!
  3. FF Cool Whip is my best friend when I'm on WW. Sometimes I do fruit dipped in it for dessert - like pineapple - and it's a total non-guilt creating treat.

I trust him totally and it's only a job for the ladies so it's not like he's cheating or having an affair. For my bachellorette I actually want to take my girls to a strip tease class!!! How much fun would that be That would be so much fun!! I have the Carmen Electra "striptease" workout tapes and they are fun for an alternative workout. It's be great to do it with a whole group of friends.
  5. Seriously, what's he going to do? Leave a 10 year relationship for another girl just because she showed him her boobs for 10 minutes? That doesn't even make sense!! I think it's so weird when girls get worked up about it. There are bigger problems going on in the relationship if it's a serious concern. I'm more concerned about him ending up in jail bc he and his boys get in some drunken trouble - they are known to get a bit klepto.
  6. Those are great! I'm so jealous you can do the embossing stuff. I tried one year on X-mas cards and it was such a mess. You are really talented.
  7. I totally agree with spending a grip on the shoes - esp MB's. The best part is that you can wear them with anything after that and no one can give you grief - "They are MB's AND they were my wedding shoes dammit!" My best friend did the same thing for her wedding and she ended up wearing them to the afterparty in a guest's hotel room - and she was wearing a tshirt and pj bottoms!!!!!! Nothing classes up pj's like Manolos!
  8. What a fab thing!! Thanks Janet. I used to use WW online but just got tired of paying for it. The spreadsheet is all you would really need to follow the program once you know how it works. I agree with it being a good idea to sign up for a few months just to learn the system. Plus, the recipes are really great and you can use those months to collect enough recipes to get you through a few months of being good. As for points, I would shoot for 20 - 24 points a day when trying to lose weight.

That's so funny that they are from there because I spend SO much time in that store! I love everything they have. I've never seen that exact design before though - with the paper and bamboo. Did you work with them at the store or DIY them?
  10. Awesome find - esp for all of us wanna be DIY-ers (who don't really know where to start)
  11. Where did you get your invites Tammy? I am obsessed with tea length cards and love the bamboo accent.
  12. His pics are beautiful!!! I can't wait to hear how he is.
  13. We are doing red and light blue. Our "theme" is coral (long family story behind coral - weird, I know) and all the images we have for that are red. I was worried it would get a bit too patriotic but as long as we keep the blue light enough it looks more retro than fourth of july.
  14. I use Smashbox photo finish product whenever I have to get really made up and it works. I don't know if it classifies as a primer, but it fills in and areas of your skin that need it so that foundation looks smooth. You can also use it alone as a mattifier.
  15. I have some recipes from WW that I still use. If you want a few to try out before you actually pay for WW let me know and I'll email them to you. I think I might even have the portion amounts for them.
  16. I'm uber-late to the discussion, but I still wanted to add my 2-cents. I totally second all the comments about general diet and exercise being needed to lose weight. No shortcuts work. As for the diet part, when I want to be really good I use Weight Watchers online. It's fab for a few reasons: 1) You can eat whatever you want. If you want a big ol' piece of chocolate cake for breakfast - have it. You just have to balance it out. And not it an unhealthy "don't eat for 2 days" kinda way. There are tons of foods with zero points (WW is a point system) so you will not starve - even with the cake. 2) The recipes are great. I used to use their recipes every night for dinner for myself and non-dieters and everyone always loved them. Their onion rings are to die for. 3) I am not a fan of frozen meals for dinner - I like to cook using actual foods like chicken and veggies. (I'll totally hoss down a frozen meal for lunch at work though.) All the WW recipes use "real food" and are super easy. Specific food tips: Frozen grapes are the best dessert and you get in fruit. If you really need chocolate (like I do most days) look for No Pudge Brownie Mix. You can make it in individual servings and when you top it w FF Cool Whip it's like a little bit of heaven. Avoid juice - waste of calories and so much sugar. Exercise: I run 3-4 times a week with my dogs just so they don't eat my house - works for me. I don't belong to a gym right now so I have to get creative with other ways to workout. We have a cable channel FitTV and I Tivo random workout shows so I can use them whenever I want. It's awesome for those days where you have about 30 free minutes to exercise and that's not enough time to get to the gym and back. Hope it helps!
  17. For all you ladies who already had your weddings, what items for the actual wedding did you bring with you? All the OOT bags stuff? What about chair covers? Centerpieces? Etc? Also, how many bags did you bring and where did all the stuff go? I am the kinda girl who brings 6 pairs of shoes for a weekend trip so I'm concerned about how to get all my personal things there plus any additional wedding items. Thanks!
  18. So, are these something you would rent from an online source in the states then bring with you to Mx?
  19. I am a big fan of Mi Casa in Cabo - such a fan that it's #1 on my list of reception sites. It's pretty casual and the food is great. They have this stuffed pepper with walnut sauce that I would give my right arm for. It can be touristy but it's worth it for the food. We ate there 2 nights last time I went to Cabo.
  20. I stayed there for a week in December and we loved it. I love how the rooms are in different villas rather than one large building - makes it feel more tropical. The rooms themselves are awesome - expecially the bathrooms. It sounds weird but they have these great big tubs with a shuttered window that opens to the bedroom. We ate breakfast on our porch a few days because it was so peaceful and relaxing. The pools are nice as is the beach. No swimming in the ocean but we laid out on the beach every day. There weren't that many beach vendors which was nice and there was plenty of waitstaff to bring us drinks on the beach. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to get to downtown Cabo but it is a really easy trip. We got the massage on the beach while we were there and it was great. I fell asleep. The workout room wasn't super great (from what I saw walking by it - not like I worked out at all while there.) The food was good and the staff was nice. We did a sea-kayaking trip though the concierge and it was tons of fun. If you have anything more specific you want to know about feel free to let me know!
  21. Isn't it funny how when a wedding happens people get all weirdly traditional? Like your dad and cake - you don't even know if he eats it but he's gotta have it there. I'm surprised by my family - my mom has never looked at her guest book from her wedding but if I don't have one at mine it might be the end of her world. Back to the real topic of cupcakes - to keep costs down you might just have them all frosted in one plain color then accent the stand with fresh flowers. You could also plunk a strawberry on each one.
  22. I love the cupcake "cake" idea. Here is a link to a pic to make it look more like a cake. http://www.weddingfads.com/wedding_c...dding_cake.jpg You can even do a cutting where you and the fh just cut a cupcake in half so your dad won't miss out on that part. We aren't cake people either so we are going to do pie and a table full of bulk candy.
  23. Thanks! I saw some like it online and just recreated it in Publisher. It was really easy - I'm not the creative type at all.
