    Hi all

welcome lisa, i was a cabo dreams birde!! i agreee with janet, book your date and photog first and get your STD's out and a wedding website. also if you need more than 15 rooms i would think about getting a room block. dreams cabo books quickly and it looks like you are looking at October which is a busy time in cabo. good luck and let us know how we can help. tammy ps. if yessica is slow grtting back to you on any questions, ask them here...we pretty much can answer anything you ask.
  2. hi, yes, some of the cities have kids begging, but not the resort areas. some fun things to do that i recommend: 1. tulum/xel-ha tour...everyone loves this...start the day with site seeing and visiting the ruins and having a historical visit, then go to this ecological water park where the river meets the sea and turns the water brackish. you can srnoket, inner tube, jump off little cliffs, swim with dolphins, or just sit along the river and watch everyone have fun...this is fun for all ages. 2. jet ski through the jungle. 3. visit playa del carmen
  3. i did it...and i did 6 sessions...it has been just over a year and although not completely bald, it is definitely sparse.
  4. thanks for doing this tammy...i love when we know when site visits are, etc.
  5. brenda, if it is a complicated cake or flower arrangement it may take longer, but if it is simple you should usually hear back within a few days...i emailed her last week and received and email back within a day. is there anything on this forum that might help...jilly mentioned flower prices.
  6. my 2 cents...if there are things you know you want, get them... if they are things you are on the fence about, wait... i did all my pre-shopping by finding the best deals on things that i wanted and bookmarking the website in a folder called OOT... then when i was about a month away, i went back and re-assessed what would work with my budget and what wouldn't...also, by then i had a better idea of how much i should order.
  7. usually they are in the lobby area, beach, or el patio restaurant
  8. have you tried ..VRBO® is Vacation Rentals by Owner® Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner

Are you paying a location fee? Is Marco allowing you to bring in an outside photog? I will post all the info soon on the Mayan thread in the PV forum for anyone interested in this hotel. I love it!!! BUT it is not an AI, uggh or else it would have been soooo perfect! are you gals talking about the grand mayan? I am showing $140-170 per night for double occupancy.
  10. welcome bradley!! glad you finally made it over here!! tammy

It seems their marriage laws are kinda strict. dee, it is totally doable...i did $14000 for almost 60 people and i did a bunch of events and OOT bags and the whole shebang...i think you can get a photographer for a shoreter time, just thre resort cake...it is especially doable if you do it at an AI.

Have another question though....I want it legally done in Cabo which I know we would need a judge for that but can we also have a minister do it on the beach for the ceremony? What I mean is go to the Judge early that day and then in the evening have a minsiter do it....or can we have both a minister and a judge at the same time? yes, you can have the judge do it right before or earlier in the day then your own officiant.
  13. i did it in cali and it was so much easier..and we also didnt have to waste a day doing the boring stuff in mexico...also, dh does not like needles
  14. welcome jennifer...there are a bunch of dreams cancun brides on here... jilly, brenda and more! let us know how we can helo..if you go to the RM/cancun forum--->accomodations and site, there are a bunch of posts about dreams cancun
  15. if so, please keep this in mind. the resort books to capacity months ahead. i have 2 may weddings where the resort was booked by last october. 2 june weddings where the resort was booked by the beginning of february. a july wedding where the room rates are already up to $400 per night. please: if you think you will need 15 or more rooms, get a room block! if you do not qualify for a room block, book at least 6 months in advance to get the best rates. i do not want to scare anyone, but do not want you to book this resort for your wedding only to find out your guests cannot stay here...
