Beach Palace in Cancun???

Recommended Posts

Laura-

Sorry! I have been a little MIA as well- dealing with all of the drama. The onsite coordinator is Valeria and she is an angel! I would email her directly. So- I got news today that we are moving the wedding to Dreams. We are still staying 7 nights at the Beach Palace, which I am pumped about, but will actually be having the wedding at Dreams. Guess I will go check out the Dreams forum! Thank you guys for your help!!!

Lindsey-

Thank you for all of your help! I'm sure that everything will work out for you and your guests! It looks like Dreams has an awesome wedding gazebo. I finally got a response back from my wedding cord. The Sky Terrace is not available for the private function, but they suggested another terrace which is close to the beach. With the wedding being at 6, and dinner afterward, we may only have time for 2 hours with the DJ. I guess they have a 10p rule to wrap things up outside. With such a small group, I am waiting to hear back about my options for dinner. I think that I read with a small group, they have you eat in a restaurant. I guess the reception would start after that. I am bummed that the sky terrace is not available!

Ok ladies....I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything worked out!!! SO....here is where we landed: Wedding is moving to Dreams. We will stay there for 5 days and then head for Beach Palace for our "honeymoon!" This way, I feel like I get the best of both worlds- AND, our guests are happy (: AND- we will be in Mexico for 12 Days!!! Yeah!!!

Thanks again for all of the well-wishes and encouragement!!! Looks like we will be leaving on the day of BeeBumbles wedding, but we will be there starting Sunday the 5th- so maybe we will run into you!

Let me know if I can be of any help to either of you guys!!!

HELLO Lovely Beach Palace brides!

I'm interested in having my wedding at the Beach Palace in February 2010. I've been reviewing all your posts and I have a few questions:

1. Can someone forward me photos of a wedding ceremony on the sky terrace? My email addy is [email protected].

2. Someone mentioned ending their reception at 10pm because you cannot have the DJ outside. Was this confirmed by the Beach Palace WC? And what other options do you have if you want to party all night? Indoor banquet?

3. Has anyone stayed at the Beach Palace? I know one of you wonderful ladies mentioned that their wasn't much of a beach at the BEACH Palace. What does this mean, is there atleast some sand to run around in?

If anyone can answer a few of my questions that'll be great!

THANK YOU!!!

Hello-

My onsite wedding cord told me that the outside private functions have to be over by 10pm. We are getting married at 6 (sunset wedding) and having our reception start at 8pm with the DJ. If you decide to book at Beach Palace, make sure to reserve the Sky Terrace for your reception. By the time I got around to talking to a wedding cord, the Sky Terrace was already booked. I am having my reception on the Infinity terrace. Just an FYI, it's really hard to get info from Palace Resorts untill just before the wedding. My wedding is two months away and I am just now making arrangments.

If you decide on Beach Palace, I will forward you the info that I have. I'm getting married at Beach Palace but staying at Cancun Palace. I have not been to either hotel, but both have gotten great reviews! From the photos that I have seen, there is a small amount of beach in front of the hotel. Because of the hurricanes in the past, most of the hotels do not have beaches anymore. I've heard that Sun Palace has the best beach of the Palace resorts. We bought our week at Cancun Palace on Ebay from a Palace Member. It saved us and our guests a lot of money! I will send you some photos to your email account. Let us know if you have any other questions....

Hi Kamerrence,

I am not getting married at Beach Palace but I stayed there last May! (I am an Isla Mujeres Palace bride). As far as the beach goes, there is SOME beach but not much. From the pool area there are two paths down to each side of the beach. One has about a 4' drop off to the sand but the other is only about a foot (just a small step). They usually have a few lounge chairs stacked down below for you to use. I didn't really hang out on the beach as I was in the water playing or lounging at the pool. During our stay we had to share 5 of the days with Tropical Storm Arthur so that didn't make for the best sunshiny days. There was a couple who got married while we were there and they took pictures on the beach in front of Beach Palace as well as the condo's next door. The group I was with did the 45 minute walk down the beach to Cancun Palace and we found the beach at Cancun Palace was a lot more rocky- it would be enter at your own risk in most places. I hope this helps you out! Good luck with planning your wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
