Laura,

My guests and I are staying at the Beach Palace. I was told that if they did not stay at the BP we would not have priority for the wedding terrace and the sky terrace (Which is where I am having my reception.) Basically meaning since they only have 1 wedding per day, that if someone else who was staying at the resort wanted your date, they would be priority. I thought about staying at Moon and getting married at Beach, but this changed my mind. I would ask again- just for peace of mind.

Regarding the reception, Valeria is virtually letting me do whatever I want. When I was speaking with Claudia, she was very by the book, but Valeria will let you do what you want. She was going to let me bring my own decor, even bring in my own flowers.

On the Sky terrace, they will close it off for you no matter how many guests you have. This is where I am doing my entire reception.

The optional services, they have many more than those listed. (IE- fireworks in the post above) They can get you fire dancers if you want them.

Maybe try Valeria- she usually answers quicker. [email protected]

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this information! I did not know that the Beach Palace only offered one wedding a day! On the website, it looks like they offer various times to get married. What time are you guys getting married? We are getting married at 6PM. Has anyone received information about who the photographer may be?

I was also under the impression that they held more than 1 wedding per day as indicated on the website. We are getting married at 6pm

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA for a few days...in Miami for work.

I would reach out to Valeria and ask again. She had mentioned 1 wedding/day but that may be because they usually dont have more than 1 requested per day. I am not 100% sure. From the looks of things when I was there, It didn't seem like people were running each other over to reserve the location. (There were tons of dates available.)

As far as music is concerned, I am taking an IPOD, speakers, and MAYBE renting the speakers- which is around $300. I can check and post prices when I get back home. They have DJ packages available that are up to $1000 if I remember correctly- I remember thinking they were expensive.

Photography: I am bringing my photographer with me from the states. Unfortunately, they do not allow photogs from Mexico except for the resort photog.- which is the same one that they use at MP. I would check the MP reviews for pictures from their photog. Valeria and I spoke about me bringing my photog. from the states and she was fine with that- even though my contract says otherwise. For all she knows, they are just friends attending the wedding.

Fire Dancers: I wanted both fire dancers and photographers, but my FI said no. I am opting for fireworks since the fire dancers perform at the nightly shows for the resort and my guests will have the chance to experience it there. If it is in your budget- I say go for it. $1300.00 is quite a bit, but I never tried to negotiate with them. Valeria would set that up for you if you are interested.

Hope all is well on the planning front!!! Talk to everyone soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
