Ghost Hunters

I LOVE GH! I don't watch it as often as I'd like but when I do, I am soo into it! It totally annoys my FI, he says it's boring and can't understand my draw to it, esp when I get all freaked out after and have nightmares. :) But I can't help it, it's sooo fascinating, especially those EVPs! Yeah, that EVP with the princess was pretty darn good, but the EVP's of some little kids haunting a house saying "they don't want us here" really freaked me out!

I come from an insanely superstitious family, so I have heard tons of ghost, oujia board, and psychic/spirit stories...I think that's why I am drawn to GH! The freekiest involved my 2 aunts...they were on their way back to LA from the Bay area and decided to spend the night in an old Victorian Bed and Breakfast in the Monterey area, right on the beach. My aunt who told me the story said it was gorgeous and the owners were so sweet. So the owner takes them up to their room, the attic, and the funniest thing my aunt told me was that she should have known something was wrong when she opened the windows, expecting to feel the ocean breeze and instead the wind blew from behind her, from the inside out! Anyway, they go to bed that night and after my aunt had been asleep for about an hour she felt someone tickling her feet. She thought she was dreaming, then felt it again and agian. She freaked out so bad she couldn't call out to my other aunt who was sleeping beside her, so she covered her feet with the blanket then fell back to sleep. Then she started to feel someone pulling her hair! She started praying and said it stopped. She ended up falling back to sleep and woke up again to find my other aunt up reading her bible (she's a major holy roller). She said someone was trying to get in bed with her, what felt like a small child, so she got up right away to pray. At that point my aunts looked at each other and said, let's get the heck outta here! It was about 4am or so and as they were leaving, another couple staying there was also leaving. They looked as if they hadn't slept much either! The owners tried to convinced them to stay for breakfast, but they all left immediately! Years later my aunt found out that supposedly a little boy living in that house had drowned in the ocean, so maybe that was himhuh.gif What a trip huh?

I totally missed last night's episode so I pray my DVR caught it.

superez - that's such a freaky story.. totally cool though! hehe Sometimes I wonder if hotel owners actually want their places haunted bc they know it'll draw more business. Like about 2 episodes ago on GH, the owner was happier than pig in shit when they told him there's a lot of activity going on lol

We watched it...and I 'm not sure if I should comment yet since Jenny missed it.

Needless to say I woke up with my back killing me because I had to sleep with my daughter last night. She was SO scared.

She does this every week! Yet - she is OBSESSED with watching it! She wouldn't even eat her dinner she was so in to it! It didn't help that when I went to bed with her the winds were howling - so I totally see why she was freaked out!

I missed it last night sad.gif Went to my parents for dinner, and it's nearly impossible to get out once you're there!

I don't mind if you chat about it though, I don't have a DVR, at least this way, I'll know what I missed...I should go see if a repeat is on :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
