Tambourines?

Recommended Posts

FI and I were trying to think of something fun to put at each guests place for the reception.

We were at a friends house Sunday night and he took out his tambourine -- and we thought that would be a great idea.

Mini tambourines that have a tag atatched reading something like ...

"Forget about tapping your glass

We've got even more class.

If you want to see us kiss ...

just SHAKE THIS!!!"

These are the ones I've found for the least amount of money -- but they won't match any of our wedding colors (not that we really have a whole lot in the way of coordinating accent colors for the reception anyway).

(12) ASSORTED PLASTIC TAMBOURINES - 5.5" - NEW!!!! - eBay (item 150218207671 end time Feb-27-08 18:30:48 PST)

Then they could use them whiel dancing or whatever (I'm sure it will be interesting once the drinks are flowing!)

Just wanting some feedback.

I know a lot of ladies have done the maracas, which makes sense in Mexico ... but I was thinkingit might not fit in the DR as well ... so if we were going to do something that didn't fit -- what better than friggin' tambourines? lol S&M.gif

I like the maracas, but it's so "Mexico" that I think I want to do something else. The tambourines I found are under $1 each, so they are even more affordable ... and I can use sticker monograms to put on the skin (if I have time...).

hahaha ... well bring it on, sista! Would love to see you there! :-) I think I've sold myself on the tambourines too! I was thinking about mixing it up w/ maracas, tambourines and rain sticks ... but keeping it simple will be easier, which is what I need right now! smile43.gif

Borrow away!

Also, there are "design your own" ocean drums that I found (similar to rain sticks) and if I had time, I would TOTALLY do those b/c they are called "ocean" drums ... hence the DW connection ... but I have zero free weekends between now and then so I think I have to stick with tambourines. I think they are cute too though and since it was my and FH idea ... that makes it even better! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
