I posted on here earlier but I guess it got erased. Anyway . . .

So I was bad last night. I ate Halloween candy and didn't workout. But in my defense I was really depressed about the lay offs at work and that I miss my niece and new nephew. (I'm sick right now so I can't visit them.) Then I weighed myself this morning to see how I did for the month of October - NOT GOOD!!! I actually gained back some of the weight I had taken off. I'm back to only a 7 pound weight loss since August. Geez, this stinks. Part of me just wants to give in one more night to the Halloween candy and then get back on track tomorrow. Would that be such a bad thinghuh.gif (I had a bad week.)

OK, let's all get back on track today. November is going to be a good month!!! YEAH, WHOO!!!!

For this week (11/1 - 11/7) let's all be sure to do at least 5 days of cardio (and at least 30 minutes each day.)

Also, if you can stand the taste, I suggest drinking at least 2 cups of green tea a day too. Not only has it been linked to fighting off certain diseases, but it's also known for helping with weight loss.

I brought the rest of my Halloween candy to work (had to get it out of my house.) I'm NOT going to eat ANYMORE of it.

My motto for today is: I AM NOT POWERLESS TO CHOCOLATE!!!

Who's with mehuh.gif

Ok, I worked out last night. That was the first of 5 workouts for this week. I power walked on the treadmill for an hour and burned 750 calories. Not too bad. Then I did 100 crunches. I weighed myself this morning and I lost another 0.5 pound bringing my total weight loss to 7.5 pounds since August.

I think my main problem is that I don't stick to my calorie goals on the weekends. I workout on Saturday's but then I eat like a pig for two days. I need to get some control of that and start working out on Sunday's too.

How is everyone else doing?

I've been really busy, so I haven't been on here that much sad.gif That being said, I came REALLY close to my 5lb weight loss goal for October! I lost 4.6 pounds, so hopefully I can lose another 5 this month. I've been feeling really lazy this week, so the exercise has been rough. I've also been working a crazy schedule. But, I've been good with my eating and went to the gym 2 times this week so far, so I'll try to get it back on track. I was doing 5-6 days/wk, which is my goal until the wedding. The holidays coming up are sort of scary... Great job with the chocolate Jen and it sounds like you're doing well with the weight loss! Congrats!

4.6 pounds for the month!!!! That's AWESOME!!!! Keep it up - you're doing great!!!! I know it's hard to stick to a healthy lifestyle when life gets busy, but you have to remember that this is a priority too. Too many times we consider it an extracurricular activity rather something we MUST do everyday.

I'm now at 31 days with no diet coke. Never thought I would make it.

I wanna play in this thread!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the gym every morning this week!! I did bw 30 and 50 minutes of cardio every day, abs every day, and arms a couple of times. I've also (finally) decided to give up my one true love - diet coke. It's been 2 days and I'm ok - not even craving it.

I had my final dress fitting today and it fits perfectly so I just need to maintain for one month.

Yeah Kate!!!! That's awesome!!!! And very inspiring.

I worked out yesterday and today (power walked on the treadmill for an hour each day plus did 100 crunches each day too.) My new treadmill ROCKS!!!! That brings me to 3 days of cardio so far this week.

Oh, and yesterday I went to the nail salon after not going for 2 weeks. My nail lady said to me, "Did you lose weight?" We both started jumping up and down when I told her "Yes!" It was pretty funny.

I'm meeting a friend for dinner tonight which means no workout later and I'm going to need to watch my calories. We're going for burgers (yum) so I'm had a light breakfast and I plan to have a very light lunch. This way I can save my calories for the mushroom and cheese burger I'm having later.

How is everyone doing with the cardio this week?

This has been a really bad exercise week for me... but I'm going to turn it around this week. The change in weather is just making me lazy. All I want is to sleep and eat high calorie foods! I'm doing ok with the dieting, but exercise has not been my priority so I need to get back to the gym. I have a dance lesson tonight, and we're house hunting this afternoon, so that counts as a little cardio. I will hit the gym tomorrow though!

Jen - that's awesome that your nail girl noticed that you lost weight! What a great feeling!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
