  1. My rings are platinum and I have had no problems with them (over 3 years). I think there is a lot to know about gold vs white gold vs platinum. I found an interesting article that might help: http://www.finishing.com/256/14.shtml
  2. I was married at the Colonial last Oct. Only the bride and groom can cut off their bracelets. You must not lose them (put them in your safe). Take the cut off bracelets to the front desk the next day and they replace them.
  3. I have never seen a list of Canadian vendors on this site but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Great idea!
  4. @sunstarsmoon - That is so funny as the same thing happened to me. I visited Debbie with a couple of bouquet pics and did something totally different based on what I saw in her flower studio. I loved my bouquet and I am sure you will love yours!
  5. FYI: I carried my real touch bouquet in my hand when I traveled to my destination wedding. My mother-in-law took them home in her suitcase and they arrived home just fine (to my pleasant surprise).
  6. We are back from our wedding. We had a great time. Our wedding was fantastic! I hope everyone's Oct weddings went well!
  7. I loved my flowers (pic posted above). They looked great! I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Enchanting Memories again!
  8. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Things will work out...they always do.
  9. @islandbride8 - I had my hair done at the spa a few weeks ago for my wedding (Colonial). They put so much hairspray on it that you don't have much to worry about. I was around the resort for the rest of the day (wedding and pics) and my hair looked great. I found the faster I walked, the more I sweated. If I kept my pace medium - slow, I didn't sweat or get over heated. I went to the MAC counter and had them do a practice makeover. The consultant wrote down all of the steps (with what color etc) and also had a picture that she applied the makeup to. It was easy to follow. I am glad I did my own as you never know if you will like your makeup when you have it done at a salon.
  10. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I look forward to sharing stories with everyone when I get back!
  11. mexico102 - you make a very good point! I will try to focus on it day by day (I leave in 3 more sleeps!). It is too easy to find stuff to worry about. Thanks for the advice. Also want to mention to brides who have not left yet - I am bringing an energy product with me for the wedding day as I assume it will be long and hot and I will probably run out of energy with all of the photography and events planned. I bought 2 - one to try at home before the wedding and one for the wedding day. I am trying Energy+ All Natural Body and Mind Fuel. There are many energy products out there so find one you like. Good luck to everyone!
  12. I have read great reviews about weddings at the JellyFish. I had looked into moving the wedding there but changed my mind as I like being close to my hotel room in case I need something. Plus we are only having 9 guests to our wedding (parents and siblings only) so we are just going to relax at the resort after the wedding dinner - listen to the resort band perform.
  13. I leave in 4 more sleeps! I agree with you Hat0112 - can't wait to read all of the wedding stories in November!
  14. You should inquire with the Jelly Fish Restaurant. They are a short cab ride from the Majestic and their pricing is quite reasonable. I have read great reviews from brides who had their weddings there. http://jellyfishrestaurant.com/jellyfish.html
