Ok, so being a vendor here on this forum is one thing... but Sol & I are also bride and groom to be, so its been interesting hanging out here in this forum world, learning about your experiences and also being able to contribute what we can...

We have been working like FREAKS lately, and I just noticed that our wedding is approaching! Holy crap, it was 1 month from Nov 6! WOW, that blows my mind. smile43.gif

I just wanted to send a shout out to all that read this forum and let everybody know that time flies when you are having fun. If you are planning a wedding, enjoy these days. Even though they are stress filled and sometimes, the anxiety can choke you, remember that these are some of the best times of our lives!

So this is just a little shout out so I can wake up and smile that our special day is coming soon! Sol & I have been taking salsa lessons so I can shake the booty on the dance floor... Its been some work, but i'm actually taking lessons with a professional female dancer, now that Sol is gone... its been rather exciting! You will see the video of us getting down on the dance floor latin style!!

Oh....we have hired this wedding designer that is going to pimp out our location, cant wait to show you pics of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sol Is in Playa del Carmen right now doing insane amounts of planning and research, bringing together loose ends. After this entire experience, I take my hat off to all the brides who do ALL the planning over the internet and hardly visit the site prior to the wedding, you are all CHAMPS.

PS: I almost forgot. Big congrats to BDWF Member and our good friend, Paul Shrank from Playa Weddings Videography. He got engaged very recently and will be getting married in May 2008 in the Riviera Maya! Paul is one of our good friends and we are very excited for him and Rachael (also a videographer) :) Paul & Rachel are doing our videography, we are SO stoked!

Cheers & much love,

Matt y Sol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
