A month!!! it is going to fly by! I am so excited for you.

The jewelry looks awesome!

We had people book 2 months out - but some still pending at a month out, wow!  I would give them a deadline!

The thing is that they are contacting the travel agent and the travel agent is just letting us know who has been booking.

She probably wouldn't stop accepting new reservations as it's good for her business!  ha  The good news is that our hotel is practically sold out!   :)

Good for her business, but not good for your planning, budget, seating arrangements, etc.!!!   At some point you have to say no more :)  We had people 3 days before we left trying to come -- ummm no? hahah!

I'm loving what you did for the bridesmaids. Now it makes the pendants I got for mine seem blah in comparison haha. I'm sure they're going to love it and wear it many many times :)

I agree that you should give people a deadline, even to your TA saying that you just can't accept any more people because you need to finalize your planning. Is your resort still accepting changes?

@TinkerSofi

We can actually pay for changes when we arrive.  Or that's what we understand.  I can't imagine the hotel turning us away from upgrades or changes that result in more money for them.

I'm glad you lilke the jewels...I felt the pressure to design something special.  Some girls will wear statement necklaces and other girls will wear statement earrings depending on they wear the dress ;)

@@veryvalentine the last minute bookings must be driving you crazy! My TA suggested I make a cut off date early on so we set it for the end of October (for our Jan wedding) when our final numbers are due for the hotel. She said she doesn't mind being the bad guy telling people they can't book so that it takes the pressure off the bride and groom She said she's even done this for couples early on when they reach the numbers they budgeted for.

I also think you should create an etsy shop - your creations are gorgeous!! :)

Ya I think she's happy with all the last minute bookings.  I'm going to chat with her tomorrow and maybe introduce of cut of date of say, tomorrow!  hahaha.  We didn't think anyone would book after our deadline came and went.

I do have an etsy shop!  ;) https://www.etsy.com/ca/people/VeryValero?ref=hdr_user_menu

We leave in 23 DAYS! Crazy how that happened:) We actually have had a few people cancel and we still are trying to confirm who from my fiance's side that live in Jamaica are coming just for the wedding day. So I can't completely finalize my seating chart and placecards. I had to mix everything back up last weekend because of one addition, but now I think I have it squared away with a few seats still available at 1 table for any more joiners. I just want to move things to the "done" column!

Oh yeah, except his mom still hasn't made her plans so there is that wild card that I'm trying not to worry about anymore...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
