Who Does Everyone Plan To Take Dress Shopping With Them?

For the first initial shopping trip I brought just my sister, my MOH. Its pretty overwhelming if you have never been dress shopping and I really wanted to focus on what I liked and wanted. I found my dress during that first shopping trip but didn't order it until I returned with my mother and mother in law. Everyone felt like their role was important and it worked out perfectly! Good luck!!

I am going with my mother, asked my sister she's still on the fence if she wanted to come or not (long story) I feel your pain @@calgarybride2015 lol. I also want 2 of my nieces to come along if they can get off work.

My boss and one of our co-workers who are actually much more than just co-workers, after 13 years of seeing each other everyday they are like my 2nd family, want to go shopping with me as well.

My game plan is to go first with my Mother and nieces, and then another day with the girls. I don't think it's possible to try too many dresses! :D

I went to most of my appointments with my mom and best friend. That was the perfect amount and not too overwhelming w opinions. I also knew that both had my best interest at heart and would also be honest about what looked good. I also went by myself once and actually really enjoyed it haha - but by then I had a fair idea of what looked good and what didn't.

Some of the say yes to the dress episodes make me cringe. But I'm not sure why you'd want to come with an entourage of 10 people

I hate when the people with the future bride are negative. But I guess if theres a party of 10, opinions are bound to clash. No matter I still love that show! lol

What's with weddings .... they are supposed to be happy but everyone has that irritating/sad/annoying/frustrating story to tell.   At the end of the day for me, I won't chase someone to be my friend, so she probably wasn't as good of a friend as I thought.

I Know Right!!! I try my best to be happy no matter what peoples reaction is. When I fail to do so my fiance is great at bringing me back on track and helping me focus on what I WANT, which I haven`t done much in my life. I think most people cannot be supportive because they are unhappy in their own lives... or anyways it's what helps me make it through crazy stuff.

I am also having a hard time with this. I'm from MA but me and my fiancée moved to TX last year. All my family and close friends are in MA with the exception of a good friend who moved here the year before us. I know I want to go with my mom so I'm planning a trip home in like January for that. My dilemma is my best friend from home is coming to visit in a few weeks and I really wanna go try some dresses on! But I don't want to take away from the first time dress shopping experience with my mom. Ugh! Females and their feelings, ruins everything! Lol

I will prob take my friend who lives here to my fittings for sure and my best friend will be there when I go home for the dress shopping either way but I am getting anxious and want to go try some on to at least get an idea of what looks good. Sometimes family can impose their opinion on me and I kind of want to make an opinion on my own with just a friend so I know what looks good.

@@helenk Ughhh families! Gotta love them but they can drive you crazy! I guess you could ask your mom if she would be hurt if you went with your friend? Or just don't tell her? But then what if you find your dress? Ugh idk  you're right females and their feelings lol!!

Just do what feels right I guess. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
