No registry for us. If I do get a request to host a shower on my behalf I will request that it's a get together with no gifts. Those who insist on still giving a gift will likely give cash (that's how FI's family is), but if we get physical gifts we will accept them graciously but need nothing. It's why I'm hoping no one offers to host a shower! As for the bachelorette, we plan on having a couple (one at home, one in Vegas)... And of course no worries about gifts then!

We're in the process of registering as we've had a few people say they won't be able to make the wedding but want to send a gift. I'm not having a shower though (my own choice) but my MOH/sister is planning a bachelorette party!

I personally do not want a shower!! I was thinking about just adding a registry and a bank acc for those that want to give cash on our wedding website,

I am unsure if I will do a registry...I guess if anyone suggests it I will like if my bm hint on a shower, but even when I had my daughter I was hesitant for a registry but was talked into it by family lol. We already have a house together so the normal registry stuff we already have

We weren't going to do a registry, but we had quite a few people bugging us to register somewhere.  So we are registered at two places.  A few of our friends/bridesmaids are hosting a coed "Stock the Bar" shower for us where we live now.  My mom and the other bridesmaids are hosting a bridal shower for me in my hometown.  They also want to host a bachelorette party for me, but I might not have one.  It is very overwhelming trying to save enough money for a destination wedding let alone spend a bunch on a bachelorette weekend.

We originally had a honeymoon fund registry until our parents told us it was tacky. I don't believe that it is but since we are doing a destination wedding everyone ASSUMED we were staying there for our honeymoon....but we aren't. But anyways I got frustrated and created a registry for Macys and Kohls for more crap that we don't need. Everyone's presence Is our present! We are asking our friends and family to shell out cash to share our big day....we don't need any gifts. My shower is going to be a boudoir shower so those registries wont help there either. LOL!

My FI and I live together and have way too many things. So we were talking about doing a registry type thing for an anniversary vacation/honeymoon. We have 4 kids between the 2 of us (from 20yrs right down to our 1yr old) so we need vacation time.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
