First off, Congratulations! Glad you had such a wonderful experience. My name is Ashley and I'd love if you could e-mail me some photos, my email address is radywedding2016@@gmail.com

Thank you!

Second, I have been reading lots of reviews about this resort, and the main issue is a large amount of seaweed on the beach everyday. My fiance and I are huge on being in the water and hanging out at the beach daily. Did you notice that this was an issue? Thanks so much, looking forward to hearing from you!

All of the resorts from Cancun all the way to Tulum are having an issue this year with seaweed, and my husband works with a guy that has just reported that the Dominican Republic is also having an issue. Nobody seems to know definitively what's causing it except that it seems to be a combination of factors. The resorts are doing the best they can to keep ahead of it but some spots are having a tougher time than others.

Hi,

I've just noticed this resort as possible location.  Can anyone please email me details of their wedding, photos and fees?...I haven't found too much information on this resort.  The info on their website doesn't describe all the fees that were mention in this forum.  My email is canadorecc@@gmail.com

Thanks!

We just got married 6/27 and had 50 guests, it was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this resort as a wedding venue.

1. We got married on the sky deck at the hideaway and Reception at the sky deck at Royalton. Ceremony at 5pm, cocktail hour 5:30-6:30 and reception at 7-11pm.

2. DJ through resort is AMAZING!! nobody left the dance floor

3. the girls at the spa do hair/make up spot on..honestly, better than in the states!! Loved them!!!

4. The coordinator on the resort is so sweet and covers all your bases perfectly, do not worry!

Any other questions send them my way!!

Jenn

Hi ladies, I have booked my wedding at RRC in May 2016 and have come across this conversation thread...

I would love to see some photos if anyone can send me some - just of the locations, the beach, sky terrace, chapel as my Travel Agent doesn't have many photos to show us.

I'd love to hear about experiences too if anyone would like to share?

my email address is [email protected]

We had our ceremony and cocktail hour on the sky deck at the hideaway, and the private reception dinner on the Royalton Sky deck. We chose the Mexican experience which was a great package!

We used our semi private dinner as our rehearsal dinner as well.

Excellent food at both the reception and rehearsal.

we had 50 guests, both spots were perfect for that number!

Send me your email and I can shoot you some photos...happy to answer any other questions!

Jenn

Hi Jenn,

Congratulations on your wedding, sounds AMAZING! I am getting married in May 2016 on the Sky Terrace :)

I have also booked the DJ for our reception, do you know if there is more than one DJ? As I would love to book the one you had- sounds amazing & dancing is going to be very important for my family & guests!

Did you have a practice hair & makeup trial? I want to book the wedding party in but I wonder how pricey that may get.

Sorry last question- would you mind please emailing me any photos? kellyelizabthdabin@@gmail.com

Thanks so very much, so sorry for all the questions!

Kelly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
