  2. I arrive on the 15th, my family and friends arrive on the 16th. We are having a semi-private welcome dinner on the 16th, the wedding and semi-private dinner on the 17th then I am relaxing until the 21st. I am also using the makeup artist/hair stylist on staff. We didn't want to waste a lot of money on doing too much since we are a little older and have seen friends waste thousands on weddings. You will definitely notice my crew at the resort, LOL! We will be pretty rambunctious.
  3. @@maybeoneday, my wedding date is October 17th at 4pm in the chapel. We also depart on the 21st so I am sure we will cross paths. Exciting!!
  4. I booked the Love Package. I have about 15 attendees coming in. I think the Love package will be fine since my group plans to party it up at the resort during our stay. We are getting married in the chapel, which from the pictures is beautiful. Attached is a link (hopefully I did this right) with some info about the private events menu, wedding packages, spa info. Hope this helps ease some of the stress. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ek9rb4ceqzkawr3/AABPJkId23tyXcTp7JFz4elja?dl=0
  5. My wedding is October 17th and I did receive all of the info regarding the wedding packages. Depending on how you customize it, it can get a bit expensive. I chose the Love package, just keeping it simple. I received this info from Christine at Royalton re: reception: Thank you for your email! The included semi-private dinner will be a set-menu meal at one of our semi-private restaurants. This set menu will be selected prior to your arrival in destination. All tables, chairs and set-up will already be in place. In regards to the wedding cake, this will be enough to feed your guests as it will be made according to your guest count. Since our wedding packages only include up to 20 guests, once the additional guest fee is paid for guests above the 20, they will be accounted for in regards to the cake and everything listed within the wedding package selected. Have a wonderful day! Warmest Regards, Christine
  6. Hi there. I just sent you an e-mail with info. Unfortunately, they don't reference the photographer's work in the materials I received. I think it could be because the property has not opened yet. I just secured my hotel rooms and wish I could find more info as well.
  7. I have not been able to find any photos. I e-mailed back and forth with a Christine from the Royalton about wedding packages. The packages won't be advertised until November/December. She was able to tell me if my date was available and the price to reserve it. I copied a bit of the e-mail and pasted it below: "Thank you for your email and interest in Royalton Riviera Cancun! Unfortunately at this time we do not have any wedding details available. With this being said, we do ask for your patience as we work on finalizing all the wedding details over the next few months. We will have these sent to you as soon as possible, but realistically, this will be around the end of November/December 2014. We are however accepting wedding bookings currently as the hotel is still subject to open in January 2015. We would not start the wedding planning until after the time the wedding details are all available. As soon as we have the finalized wedding packages and their pricing, I will send this to you."
  8. Hi all! Planning a wedding, rather local or destination seems to be a pain in the butt! I have decided on a destination wedding in Mexico or Jamaica in October. I know its not the best time due to rainy season but I'm just going to pray for sunshine. I have a list of over 10 locations and I have been obsessing over the reviews and pictures and trying to make sure pricing will be right for all of my guests. Phew! Too much pressure. I am really leaning towards a new property called the Royalton Riviera Cancun. Fingers crossed, all will go well. Thanks for letting me vent.
  9. My agent was able to pull some pretty reasonable rates. My attraction lies in that it will be a new facility. Planning my wedding Oct 2015. Can't wait to hear the reviews.
