New Resort - Royalton Riviera Cancun

Recommended Posts

I am debating back and forth between this resort and Now Sapphire.  A few questions.  Does anyone have a copy of the Alacarte menu ( if so my email is krpayne87@@gmail.com)?  Does anyone know the choices for where the semi-private reception is? And does the semi-private reception include the food?  I had read on one of the other Royalton threads that someone had encoutered the food not being included in the package price? Does anyone know who the onsite photographer is?I would like to see their work. I have so many questions! This is so overwhelming!!

Hi there.  I just sent you an e-mail with info.  Unfortunately, they don't reference the photographer's work in the materials I received.  I think it could be because the property has not opened yet.  I just secured my hotel rooms and wish I could find more info as well.

We booked our wedding here for Sept 2015.  I emailed and was told that their wedding packages would be ready around Oct/Nov of this year.  I am somewhat nervous but I was sent the Punta Cana Royalton and the White Sands Royalton packages and they were similar to each other so I am hoping (and assuming) they will be similar to what will be offered at the Royalton Riviera Cancun.

I am getting married there March 21st ;-) wedding packages should all be up now ..how are you getting on ?

My fiancé and I have decided to get married at this resort in January 2015. They have already sent information on their wedding packages and they confirmed that the resort is opening on December 17, 2014. Wedding details have not yet been confirmed, but I will be sure to post my experiences as we go through the process.

what is your date? please let me know how it goes, my wedding is March 21st

It's going ok. We are at a bit of a stand still right. Now I was sent the wedding packages and the menu information but am still waiting on all of the A la carte info. I hope I hear more soon as I am getting anxious to plan and budget. Most of our guests have booked and everyone is getting excited. I have been reading all of the reviews on trip advisor and facebook and was a little nervous at first but it seems like they are definitely ironing out the wrinkles and it will be a beautiful resort. How are your plans coming along? How many guests are you expecting and have you picked a location? Has you started planning details with the resort?

Hey guys, i'm getting super nervous as there's such minimal info, pictures and pricing!

A couple things I found out today:

1. If you do the semi private reception there is no DJ. You have to reserve a PRIVATE reception which is an additional location fee, DJ fee and open bar fee. Also, minimally $60 pp to eat

2. Flowers are super expensive and only a limited list of available flowers

3. You cannot bring in an outside vendor for flowers

4. If you want to bring in an external photographer it's $450

Have you guys heard where the ceremony can be held?

Any other details please pass along...this girl wants flowers and dancing  :)

My wedding is October 17th and I did receive all of the info regarding the wedding packages.  Depending on how you customize it, it can get a bit expensive.  I chose the Love package, just keeping it simple.  I received this info from Christine at Royalton re: reception:

Thank you for your email! The included semi-private dinner will be a set-menu meal at one of our semi-private restaurants. This set menu will be selected prior to your arrival in destination. All tables, chairs and set-up will already be in place. In regards to the wedding cake, this will be enough to feed your guests as it will be made according to your guest count. Since our wedding packages only include up to 20 guests, once the additional guest fee is paid for guests above the 20, they will be accounted for in regards to the cake and everything listed within the wedding package selected.

Have a wonderful day!

Warmest Regards,

Christine

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
