Mike Cantarell with Cancun Wedding Video!! They are also a pleasure to work with!

I'm wanting to use Styling Trio!! They have some AMAZING work!!! Have you found out if your resort is going to charge the full outside vendor fee for them coming to you?

Ohh I have MIke Cantrell on my list of potential videographers! Have to look into this more

If I do it at Beach Palace, apparently they're approved vendors so I won't have to pay a vendor fee! I think they do really great work too so even though their prices are a bit high, I think it'll be worth it

But I'm still mulling it and actually considering doing it my wedding off resort now at the Grand Coral Beach Club - and I'm looking at your hotel as a potential one to stay in! Does the Gran Porto Real have high vendor fees?

I have booked with Dean as well!! They are great and super fast!!!  They have been so helpful!!!! They even helped me lock down a videographer and told me they would come as a team so I would only receive 1 outside vendor fee!!!

@@1BeachBride - Yeah, I'm not going to wear my actual dress. I just can't bring myself to even though they say it doesn't wreck it. I'll just bring another flowy dress to get the same effect. I also want to resell  my dress after if possible, so I'm going to try to maintain its condition

The vendor fees at the Gran Porto are $350.00 per vendor... SO not excessively high, but a little ridiculous if you ask me... I think any outside vendor fee is crazy! It's my wedding and I may not want your resorts services!! You'd think they would be happy with all the $$ they're making on me having my wedding there!!

Ok Rant over!! LOL

Did you make a decision on the photog and video?

We ended up at Beach Palace, and we're going to get over 75 room nights so we won't have to pay extra to have the reception. But Palace has vendor fees of $800!  Completely ridiculous, I agree with you! The vendor fees is one of the reasons I was seriously going off resort for a while.

We are going with Lancelotti for photography, and I'm looking between Gallardo and Indigo Weddings for cinematography. Mike Cantarall is out of our price range unfortunately. We want our vendors for 8-10 hours

For photographer and videographer, I'm going to have them come in under the same company name and see if I can just pay the vendor fee once for them. Twice is really ridiculous. All the parties have agreed to this - hopefully I can get the hotel to agree

We also are going with DJ Discomovil - even WITH the vendor fee, they are still cheaper than the resort djs and offer more with better reviews. Have you booked your DJ yet? We looked at Doremixx, Discomovil and Mannia

$$800.00 is outrageous!! And with the amount of $$ they are making off you having 75 room nights!!  So insane!! I don't even understand the logic behind $800.00!!!! I hope that you can get the 1 vendor fee for that!

I booked with Discomovil too! I asked my photog Dean for advice and he gave me his contact info and said he had attended many weddings where he was the DJ and it was great... SO we went with him! :) Dean has been really helpful helping me find local vendors!

@@forevertogether - Ya i liked the reviews of Discomovil and I like that song choosing thingy on their website!  One of our biggest priorities is a FUN party so we decided to go with them because we saw they have a lot of the music we want

Haha now I want to know who else you're doing for vendors. Our weddings are pretty close in date! Are you getting flowers/decor through your resort?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
