I am looking for other brides who have, or will be, married at Sonesta Maho in St. Maarten. It seems to be a difficult place to get information on in regards to others who have been married there. It is one of our considerations for our upcoming wedding! So would love to chat to others who have been married there!

I am currently looking into a wedding at Sonesta Maho.... I can see you set your wedding at Now Larimar in Punta Cana....What made you decide against Sonesta Maho?

Thanks for your help! I agree there isn't much from past brides but the thought of getting married in St Maarten is exciting!

We just visited St Martin for the first time and fell in love! I was near Sonesto... Very close to the airport... Like we walked from there to the airport. That being said the landing strip is right on the water and a huge attraction. I feel like it would be an easy place to host a wedding. English speaking, no need to exchange American $, awesome food, you can drink the water....

We were engaged at the Sonest Maho Beach. We were really interested in doing the wedding there because there is so much to do on the island and around. It is also fairly safe and easy to get around. Unfortunately, we found it very complicated and confusing to organize a wedding at the Sonest. It felt like setting up a wedding at home with tons of outside vendors and complicated to organize from Canada. I just heard that the Riu is opening up in St Martin (french side). The location doesn't seem as central or fun as the Sonest hotels unfortunately but I really like the Riu brand. I am waiting to see if they would have wedding packages or if it would be all a la carte.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.
