Hi!

I said cricut because I figured more people know what that is...I actually used a silhouette machine (which is very similar).  I designed the template in adobe illustrator and then opened that in the silhouette program.  I drew the shapes based on an invitation I saw on Etsy, (but couldn't imagine paying $400 for just 25 invitations).  It is an extremely time consuming process and illustrator is not an easy program to use unless you have been trained or have experience with it.  There are many similar papel picado invitations available on Etsy now though if you're interested in saving yourself the headache.  Good luck! :)

Hello, I just wanted to compliment you on all your DIY wedding creations. Me and my fiance wanted to purchase the papel picado invitations, but it came out to be $700 for 100 invites not including RSVPs and envelopes. We attempted to make them with the cricut, but it's not exactly what we had hoped. I wanted to ask you if it would be possible to send your illustrator file (I currently have the program on my computer) and I can edit and cut the image on our silhouette machine. We have the Cameo cutting machine. I would greatly appreciate your help or advice. Thanks!

@LaLa1116  OMG, your wedding (and video) was just stunning.  I totally teared up watching it.  Your groom's speech.  *swoon*   All your hard work totally paid off, your wedding was just beautiful.  Thanks for posting everything in the blog.  It was great to follow along and then see everything come to fruition in the video.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
