I just dont think people get it.

Oooo evites are a good idea!! I think i'm going to look into somehow getting that on our wedding website. I would have died if I heard a BM say that lolol, whyyyy don't people get it?

So far, I think I've decided to send out formal invites that include an information card (that includes how to book/ both via the website and our TA...in case people didn't understand with the STDs), as well as an RSVP postcard. I'm hoping that if people don't even have to lick an envelop or get postage that they return the darn things...fingers crossed.. Anyhow think i'm going to send them out in July with an Oct 1st deadline. That way I have two weeks to tally things up and get it to the resort wedding planner. I'm hoping that will also leave me time to figure out how many centerpieces, programs etc that I will need.

I have yet to work on the attire details (BMs, GMs, MOB, etc), or anything else for that matter, maybe that will be next on the agenda. What about everyone else, have many of the smaller details down yet?

I have three girls standing - 1 MOH and 2 BMs. The other color I was going to have the guys in is the Malibu color. But that has been kicked to the curb....like you said - too hard to get everything to match! Ugh!

And my dress is this one :) EEeee - I get so excited every time I see it :) Mine will be off white - it's so suttle though...you can hardly tell

I love your dress choices, especially your wedding dress!!!! I adore the gorgeous strap it has :)

Thank you :) I'm so excited. Now I have to think about jewelry though....I am great at making the big decisions. When it gets down to the details - I get lost (and distracted) easily!

EEPPPP!! that is so so exciting! I love those choices! I hope some of my bridesmaids will go haha I feel like so many people are backing out, that said they were coming, which is totally understandable. Hopefully I can just win the lotto and take everyone ;) Your dress is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to see pics of you in it!

Oh - I hope all your girls make it!! Destination weddings are like a big party for many days :)

Hey ladies!! When are you guys planning to send out your invites, and what will your RSVP dates be??

We sent out our Save the Dates just last week. We are planning to send invitations out in June with an RSVP for the end of October. We figure that is plenty of time for everyone to get themselves situated. Also, we have a "backup" list if anyone says they can't come. We aren't letting people know this...but we want to make sure to have 40-45 people at our wedding. There are so many more people we want to invite - and figure we will just start to go down the list as we get regrets. Sigh...so complicated :)

  • 1 month later...

Invites won't be for awhile for me.. though I am working on them. I did recently send a newsletter type thing sharing our travel agents information and encouraging people to put down a deposit. I was in a weird in between the save the dates and invitations phase so this was cute and served its purpose!

It is coming up fast... I agree!!! Although we haven't been able to start any of the planning with the WC yet, we are almost done everything else! All OOT bag items are purchased, invites are mailed out and we have a good idea on final numbers, suits and pants from studio suits shipped last week and should be here this week, all my attire and jewelry purchased, and bridal party gifts purchased and made!!! There's still a few things lefts to do such as applying iron-on transfers onto shirts and vinyl letters onto tumblers, but other than that we're now just waiting on the resort to plan the big details. How about you meganator22? How's your planning going?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
