Hey i would liek to give my advice..... 1st i think u should try on dresses that aren't similar to either of these because you really never know what you might love once you put it on. 2nd if its solely between these 2 i think the 2nd one is more bridal and a little sexier & i think you want people to be liek WOW ... which is why i would choose the 2nd. If you have worn dresse just like the 1st one, you might not get that BRIDE feeling. they are both pretty similar to me which is why i think u should think outside the box and try on some different styles. however they are both beautiful but #2 takes the cake. its your day to shine!

I am having a HUGE problem choosing a dress and i thought I would ask for your input... I am between two dresses both Maggie Sottero...

The first is the Vanessa- I love it , it looks good on me and it is SOO SOO comfortable ( i feel like I'm in sweatpants in it... i love it) but I have worn SOO many dresses in that same style/shape so everyone who sees it on me is like "its so you" and yes it is "So me" BUT I dont want it to look like everyother dress I've ever worn.... which may be where my problem is...

The other one is the Marion,- To me it feels more bridal, I feel like a real bride, I think it also looks just good as the vanessa but its just not as comfortable... but it isn't something I would typically wear...

So my question- Is it more important to feel comfortable OR to feel bridal?! Should I go with a shape that I tend to gravitate towards for other occasions because it looks good on me and works OR should I go with something that is out of my comfort zone but makes me feel more like a bride?! Either way i havent had that "THIS IS MY DRESS" moment and now I'm thinking I never will... Time is ticking down for me and I Really can't choose... Hopefully you guys can help... I'm so torn I'm considering asking my fiancee but I want him to be surprised...

The first one I luckily caught before they'd started making the dress, so I got a full refund. I'll lose at least my deposit on dress #2 (have to call the shop to ask them). But that's OK because the third time's a charm and this one I love! It's a Jim Hjelm that I got at a store in LA that has huge discounts on dresses (up to 75% off) because they're samples directly from the designers. Great for your wallet, not so great if you're not exactly a sample size! I will definitely need to kick my workouts/weight loss plan into serious gear the next 8 months before the wedding so it's not crazy tight like it is in this pic, but here you go!

This is my dress!!! I ordered it in May and it just came in :) I'll be doing my fitting in December....I'm so excited!!! After trying on tons of hot and heavy dresses I fell in love with this dress because it has shape but is still lightweight and comfortable!

Haha Emily, you are hysterical! I know EXACTLY what you mean about having dress reget... but i agree, you definitely need to put it on one more time to prove to yourself that you made the right decision!! This forum is SO not helping though! I see all these amazing dresses and I always second guess myself!! But your dress is absolutely gorgeous and looks amazing on you!!! I think you made the right choice!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
